The ones I've tried on were also very flattering. I especially like the selection of one-pieces here. According to the sales associate, this is one of the few stores around that carry one-pieces swimsuits that don't look too "matronly." I agree. DOWNSIDES: very few items below size 6 and NO RETURNS on swimwear.

He took me over to a section and showed me several selections, picking ones to help compliment my body. I do mean several! He stayed with me the entire time always checking on me but not a nuisance. The fitting took 60 seconds and then I explained my requirements for every day (no itchy lace plus extreme comfort with enough support to keep my back from hurting), and what I need for a special event dress (support you cannot see; comfort optional). Dana brought me many different options for both scenarios, which, to the extent I was comfortable with it, she helped me to try on and adjust. Very quickly I became so comfortable that she helped me the whole time. Dana is fabulous but relatively new, and so a wonderful expert verified everything she did. They explained to me the different bra styles and what they do, as well as UK vs US sizing etc. It was a terrific experience. Ultimately I chose a $56 strapless for the event dress, and for every day, I picked two $99 each Evelyn Bobbie sports-bra variations and a $65 Emoli underwire for the every day occasions when I need to dress less casually. So. For $317 I got: 1. An expert fitting in a private setting 2. Two hours of un-rushed selection and fit assistance plus education from incredible ladies who both know their stuff and understand the "ick" factor. 3. Two everyday comfort bras that fit well. 4. One "dress a little better" every day bra. 5. One strapless bra for the event dress. When I was checking out, there was a woman of about 40 at the register next to me who had driven 85 miles for their services. The checkout staff said "yes we have people who come from all over". I bought some pretty new dresses, and I could wear none of them because I did not have bras that would work with those dresses. I was not even sure of my proper size anymore, and knew it was time to finally be fitted properly for a bra. I made an appointment online with Linda's Bra Salon. It took us one hour to get there, and it was totally worth it. My fitter, Lori, put me completely at ease. She was professional, compassionate, knowledgeable and funny. She made me feel very comfortable when she was measuring me and helping me trying on bras. She said that most women wear the wrong bra size, and I was most definitely one of them. She helped me try on a lot of bras, and found the perfect bra that would work with the new dresses. (I brought the dresses with me to the fitting so I could try them on with the bras). I ended up buying 5 bras. No hard sell. The bras are beautiful, they feel so comfortable, and I ended up wearing one of them out of the store. Prices are about what you would expect to pay for a good bra. They will even ship bras to you if you can't make it back to the store. They have an enormous selection of bras, even outside of the "mainstream" sizes. I really felt so good about this experience. I was treated with dignity, with compassion and with respect. I don't think I can ever buy an ill fitting bra online again.
