We've been using Aerobic (formerly Burgh) since we moved into our house. Been very happy with them, they are always quick to come out and service our system when we run into issues. Our most recent experience, Joseph, was great!! Called ahead, was very friendly, and explained everything really well. He even offered to show me the part that went bad when I asked about the life expectancy of these pumps, since we have paid for repair and replacement about every 3-4 years. You just have to know that these systems need regular maintenance and being that they run 24/7, parts go bad. In this case, a rubber flap called a diaphragm. read more

Please read on to understand why I am giving a rare 5-star rating. My one previous experience with septic service ~5 years ago was a disaster; that company simply decided to rip me off in every possible way. Last Thursday, the high water alarm on my 23-year old septic tank was activated for the first time in 5 years. So I was glad to know that it is actually working. I consulted with a few of my neighbors and discovered that each of them had a story about terrible service from one or more septic service providers. One of those neighbors had his share of awful stories, and then told me that Aerobic Services was the only one he would recommend, so I called them. Lisa took my call in the office. My system is ANaerobic, but she is very knowledgeable about all kinds of septic arrangements. I explained the situation, which is complicated by the fact that the subject property is used for short-term rentals and was booked on the very next afternoon. Even though they are backed up with service calls, just like everyone else, she told me she would consult with the owner about adding some extra manpower. The next morning her man Dakota arrived at the house. He replaced one of the two floats in the septic tank and then called me while he was still on-site. He was confident that the problem was solved and he had a couple of non-urgent suggestions to avoid future problems. He did not try to sell anything that was not necessary, and he was patient in answering all of my questions. If you are looking for septic system maintenance look no further. Aerobic Services of South Texas is excellent; friendly, professional, responsive, and very knowledgeable. This is our third maintenance contractor for our septic service and by far the best. This business is not the cheapest maintenance service you can find in the Hill Country for septic but from our experience you get what you pay for. Our original installer who is no longer in business never once checked the system after install. The contract was transferred to another contractor that did a fine job in maintenance but was far from professional and as it turns out has continued to allow our system to operate incorrectly for years. After our initial service with Aerobic Services of South Texas they identified multiple issues from the original installation that was not done per specs and was the cause to our failure. They quoted repairs and resolved the issues within a week and gave a detailed explanation of how the system worked, what was repaired, and what was expected for future maintenance. The septic is not one of those things you often think about until it is broken. Give Aerobic Services of South Texas a call you will not be disappointed. This is THE worst company I have ever encountered. They trick you into signing a contract which gets you NOTHING. They charge you for "extra trips" to maintain your septic tank.
