Standard airport but very clean and efficient and apparently can have water in your bag now??

A smaller airport. The Gate area for our incoming flight was super busy. Luggage came out quickly. We needed to go to the Central Station and plenty of Taxis were available. About 15 minutes to Central Station. We ended up needed to go to Sorolla but that's another story. Outbound had a wait for check in via KLM. Not sure why but the queue was moving slow and took almost an hour for a very early flight. Security Control was quick with no queue. Past Security, there are a few options for food. Tapas, Italian and a Burger King. Employees were friendly. Only 15 minutes from Valencia City Center. read more

It's a basic airport with most flights connecting you to the larger cities of Madrid and Barcelona. The security check was quick and easy. The Metro connects the airport with the rest of the city, so it was easy to get on and arrive to my rental condo near downtown. Very easy. They had some nice comfy areas for lounging and free WiFi, so the wait at Valencia is not an issue at all. read more

On the smaller and older side but this is a great airport. Clean and much quieter and less chaotic than other airports. Beautiful window views. Variety of food and drink options. Baggage from plane came out quickly. I enjoy flying to and from this airport very much! read more

Valencia airport is conveniently located just 8 km into the city center and even though Valencia itself is the 3rd largest city in Spain, this airport is really nothing to rave about. Mainly serving inter-city flights between Madrid, Barcelona, Sevilla, etc. and of course, several countries in Europe, we still hard a hard time finding a direct flight (is there one?!) from Berlin. This airport would be your better choice if you plan to go to Palma de Mallorca to avoid crowded Barcelona airport. However, staff are slow with their customer service with minimal English spoken and there aren't very many food options (the vending machine food choices is limited to small sandwiches and candies but the agua is nicely chilled!) While Hugo from car rental company Sixt was nice enough to recommend some local paella spots, it took a long time (more than 20 minutes wait) to get our vehicle. From there, it was easy access to the building across the street and find our car in the assigned car stall on the ground floor. read more

Good airport with 2 take-off strips. Pretty lot of stores with food and souvenirs. If you forgot to buy some souvenirs you can buy them here for sure. We've bought here 1 sandwich and 1 bottle of good Spanish wine for good money. Airport looks clean and you can enjoy your food with view on flights. read more

A smaller no frills airport where getting through security was an unbelievable cinch! I'm talking from drop off to boarding, it was done miraculously in 28 minutes total with carry ons, (no check in luggage). Yes, we timed it because we're were running so late due to miscalculation of time change! This was the fastest we've EVER experienced boarding a flight! So quick it was ALMOST questionable! Haha What we found to be more difficult was finding the correct entrance!! If you make one wrong turn, as you may because all of the signs are in Spanish and we of course know enough basic Spanish like "salida", you're back on the highway or down in staff parking OR even at car rental drop off! Wow!!! It was circle after circle. We found it all to be very confusing, so perhaps give yourself some extra time if you have a car and need to park or are dropping off a rental. *I will say though that the parking garage is very closely located to the entrance and there is a decent, quiet spot to pull over and watch planes land and take off, so if you have kiddos in tow, you may entertain them with that! Besides super easy security checks, another postitive be would be the uber cheap flights available from here to various locations within Europe. Ryanair has flights in and out of here starting at just €20!! read more

Pro's: + fairly modern terminal buildings + close proximity to the city center (about 15-20mins by car) Con's: - not too many food options, if you need to spend time here don't get there hungry - rental car drop off confusing and disorganized - very long lines for check-in especially during holiday season Pro tip: do not check in luggage and use mobile boarding pass. Manises Aeropuerto Valencia is easily accessed using Metro system from downtown Valencia. The Airport itself is small and nothing really interesting in terms of restaurant or shopping. Small little airport. Really nothing memorable nor anthing to complain about. Got through security easy, found a Priority Pass lounge, but not a lot to keep you occupied. I'm actually amazed I didn't have to take a bus out to my plane, but then again, it's a small airport so I was able to walk across the tarmac to my plane. read more

It's a smaller airport that can sometimes be a bit pricey to fly into (depends on the time of year). Security has been easy to get through every time I have flown out of Valencia. Also, there is a Starbucks after security and if you have a reusable water bottle, you can ask them to refill it for free. read more

Currently in line to board a flight, and there's a snake like like that they make you stand in as you're boarding. This is past check-in and security, and Valencian airport thought it should insert another line to my morning. Also it's a horribly designed airport. Seems like one terminal that's just one long walk down. Only one food option seems to be open right now too. Dime un café! read more

Similar to San Francisco, Valencia's airport is not actually in Valencia but in Manises. It's interesting because our friend lives in Paterna nearby but since I had to see the Calatrava architecture we ended up in Valencia proper. The airport is a bit older though the Metro with a short shuttle is nearby. We had some confusion at the station but there was a lady who was there working that was nice enough to figure out our path and help us with the line we had to take into town. They certainly don't do that for you in the US, at least not what I've encountered read more

My final destination most Mondays and Fridays for the past 2 months... and most likely the next 2 months ahead. If you think of Valencia as the 3rd biggest city in Spain, you'll be really disappointed by this tiny and totally out of date airport. Once you're at Security, you know what I mean. Staff speaks little English and is usually unfriendly and quite harsh, duty free area is small and expensive, food and drinks even compared to German prices expensive as well. read more

This is a small airport that is just ok. The AC was broken or not running on full speed one time when I was there, and it was super hot. There is an ok lounge in the airport with ok food. VAT Refund- they will stamp your form here but won't give you your money back. You have to go to Barcelona or Madrid to get the money back since they have Global Blue Counters. Great small airport! Even got first in the boarding queue!! :P This is definitely my favorite airport it even has a Starbucks and burger king!! I would definitely recommend this to anyone really just the only down side is that it is quite a basic and small airport compared to Gatwick and stuff but still great for all!! ;D read more

Small and outdated with few worthy dining or shopping options, Valencia Airport is largely utilitarian despite the size of the city in which it resides, Staff is largely helpful and bilingual, which is a plus, but with most flights arriving as regional connections guests are frequently forced to either be shuttled from the plane or to walk the tarmac in order to exit and signage to the main roads and car rental is poorly marked. Additional points off for having flights arrive after midnight when almost none of the rent-a-car companies are open, thus relegating guests to absurdly priced cab rides to one of the few nearby hotels or 6-8-hours waiting on-site until morning. read more

This airport locates 8 km west of Valencia. Under the sunlight, hubby and I took San Miguel beer, Jamon Serrano and salad at this Valencia airport. Not so expensive. We paid 13 euro (about $17). read more

Little one with no interesting tax free area... refurbishment works so plenty of noise. Thank god, there is a Starbucks and free wifi spot for 15minutes (this explains the 2 stars). Valencia airport is located in the east of Spain, and serves the Valencia region of Spain. Valenica airport was a base for European airline ryanair, however in the summer of 2008 they fell out with the airport, and withdrew from the base, there will be a re-introduction of flights in match 2009 with aircraft from other ryanair bases.
