Found this agency at random after just moving to California. I was told to come in between 1:30 PM and 4 PM to be assigned to a recruiter. I was assigned to Justin. I was told after the interview he sent my application out to a couple options since my resume and work experience is pretty broad. Reached out as recommended within 24 hours I was given another phone number to text him at. He told me that he would get back to me in a few days but never heard anything. I reached out today more than a week after hearing nothing and was told that everywhere he sent my résumé to declined. Supposedly he had sent it to warehouse positions, I asked for which locations he sent it to just so that I knew he had sent it somewhere, but he was unable provide that information and instead responded with a text message stating " to call the direct line again and be assigned to a different recruiter that can better assist" or to try a different agency altogether. Wow I reached out to the main line and spoke to the same person that I had contacted prior and was told to come back in at 1:30pm to 4 PM today to be assigned to another recruiter. I explained that I don't understand what is happening with the current recruiter, but let's give this a second go. I'm not sure what's gonna happen here but hopefully something. Based on the other reviews, it sounds like it might not go anywhere. But I am being optimistic. We shall see read more

After this, Brendan dropped me completely with no follow-up. I did complain but received no resolution. Another lady called and said Brendan said I did not want a contract position. However, not only did Aerotek employ me in the best job I've ever had, I am placed in a startup company that is expanding and growing at such a rapid pace, that my employer has already hit the front page of the LA Times and has also been featured in TechCrunch and the Washington Post. I worked with Ashley who recruited me, who I believe is a great person and has great talent that is being put to waste in this company. I left my job because I had received an offer letter from one of their clients. I did all the paperwork, I-9 and everything. I was so excited to start work, only to find out that on my first day there, the client, "BYD" did not have their budget approved to pay for my position. I went unemployed for 2 months, just barely living off of my savings. Nothing was done to correct what had happened in this event. It was a very depressing, scary and psychologically ruthless experience. I would not rely on this hiring agency. Please, do yourself a favor and don't waste your time. Agency not worth your time. The recruiter who did my interview knew nothing about his client, the type of work they do & what he should be looking for in a good candidate for his client. I had to show him. When i arrived i was the only person there. When i left , the whole room was filled & had the appearance of an welfare office . The impression here is there is no executive or management positions that they recruit for. It's blue collar and low wages they offer . They charge their clients at least double but try to keep you on their payroll for several months. This is what was explained to me. Two because at least they reached out. I went in for the walk-in hours and it was mentioned that the majority of the jobs they had were labor but the lady who spoke to me/took my resume said she'd reach out to her manager about an office job and to call back. I went in on a Friday, so I called (her) number several times but always got the machine - I never heard back from her. A month later after never having my message returned, I received an email from a different staff member about a job in my field, so we exchanged a couple of emails where I expressed interest, and then we played phone tag because - again - I would return the call and could not get ahold of the person. I responded to the email, too, but the communication went dead. I think what would've been helpful is simply making sure there is an available time with which the person calling can be reached or set an appointment to come in so no one's time is wasted going back and forth. Also I'm not sure if a month or more is normal in reaching out to someone. I never heard anything after that and felt like this isn't a very reliable resource for finding employment, at least for non-labor jobs - though I was only aware of Aerotek through a past acquaintance who'd used it to find an office job downtown. read more

Obviously Aerotek as a company is unconcerned with the poor ratings they've received over the years because the service has not improved. I will expand upon why the service is poor and the numerous one star ratings. 1. Lack of communication: No one ever answers the phone or returns your voicemail. If the receptionist who works there answers the phone she is extremely rude and unhelpful. 2. Lack of respect for clients: I am going to put this plainly this staffing agency feels they are above the people the work for it is palpable within the environment. This ties into the poor service. They don't answer calls our attempt to help clients because they don't respect them and once they've gotten the contract completed they don't care. 3. They're affiliated with predatory for profit schools and take advantage of underprivileged people trying to make a living through education. While this in itself is not wrong it speaks to the underhandedness and lack of character possessed by the company and its employees. 4. Poor payment processing: I've worked for the majority of my adult life never have I had to do so much to get the money that I worked for. Their payroll department is unreachable and unless you show up on site and are physically present. I'm sure they rely on this layer of inconvenience to avoid having to interrupt their lunch or afternoon chatting. My advice is to go to a different hiring agency. These people will see you as a lesser human being unworthy of their time and treat you as such. Also they do not care once the contract is fulfilled because if you get fired while on contract they still get the full payout. Once you're in the door they've done all they need to do to get their payment after that you will be treated as a nuisance or even less since nuisances while annoying are at least addressed. A final warning use a different hiring agency you will certainly regret using this one. read more

Then I meet with my recruiter, I believe her name was Riley, and pretty much just went over my resume (their version of your resume, which isn't great. My version was much better.) She didn't really give me any tips that were helpful. Later that day I had the interview with their client. One of the ladies was mad rude too. But anyways, I wait a few days to contact Riley about any updates and NO response. I messaged her again NO response. Like do your damn job. STAY AWAY FROM THIS OFFICE AND LAUREN!! Here's what happened. My daughter went in initially for a position referred to by a friend for which she qualified, but was not given. Recently however, another position was presented and my daughter was asked to do a phone interview with the client for a temp position. My daughter has been looking very diligently and was excited about getting to this point. After the phone interview a face-to-face was scheduled for two days later. The day after the phone interview Lauren called my daughter telling her that the position was given to someone else, but she did not know that the client told my daughter she was the only person interviewed for the position at that time. After hearing the position was given to someone else, my daughter called the client just to inquire what she could do to improve her interviewing skills so she would not miss out on another opportunity. The client told my daughter that the position HAD NOT BEEN FILLED and that no indication was made to hire anyone else. In short, Lauren was caught in a lie! The client asked my daughter to come in to interview because she liked the initiative taken to make the call and inquiry. She met with the client and the other employees, and that evening the client called the agency to let Lauren know that they wanted my daughter to start today (1/17/13) and did not need to interview. How then was this possible that the person whom she told the position was filled was being asked to fill the position? I'm sure she knew what she did 1) was wrong, 2) did not look good to the client, and 3) questioned the integrity of the company. Last evening my daughter told Lauren she had in fact interviewed with the company. After a few hours yesterday, Lauren told my daughter not to start today. Not trusting Lauren (and rightfully so), my daughter called the client to check whether she should show up today or not. Now according to Lauren the position is on hold. Amanda was good on getting back to to me when I had any issues. I've been out of a job since May 1st 2019 and haven't heard from her since. I was let go due to the project ending. If I could give 0 stars I would. I've used Aerotek before in the valley and Oxnard, the recruiters up there were AWESOME! Always following up and print to return phone calls. What the hell happened with the Torrance location?? I only received a response because I was using an agent from Oxnard and moving to LA (willing to commute). Molly contacted my agent to basically tattle that I reached out to the Torrance agency; about a month prior!!! No response!!! Finally, I parted ways with Oxnard and met with Molly, she seemed professional and confident that we could nail a job. Wrong again. NEVER heard from her after a little over a month after several attempts via voicemail and email. This morning, I followed up with a new agency (you think I'd sit and wait around like a dumb dog?) and decided to finally let Molly know that I was not only angry but offended for her wasting my time and lack of professionalism. She quickly responded, but I deleted her email, she never bothered to respond to me, why should pay any attention after it's too late? I decided that after a week of working at a new job after my last assignment wasn't for me - Then she turned salty real quick: "My back is against the wall with you, Ive done so much for you" - Basically wanting me to put up with all these abuses at my newest assignment. My new recommendation is to milk her for all she's got, then shake the scene when she gets frustrated with you. Thanks for everything Rachel, but you got an attitude to work on. For the company to have college educated recruiters that should be aggressive with a sales mentally is horrible. This company has the lack of will and drive to keep constant open ended communications with potential placement leads. They have no follow up drive, nor mindset to reply back to excellent, qualified candidates. They state "DONT CALL US WILL CALL YOU". When you follow their commandment or policy, months go by without an ounce of contacts nor employment referrals. You should never be overwhelmed with hot leads only shamed with a lack of discipline. When a company is having constant foot traffic into there office on a daily basis with available individuals, should walk with their heads down with shame and regret with the staff they have employed.
