This will probably be my go-to place in terms of makeup because the employees seem to really know what they're talking about and can help you with whatever you need. I'm not that experienced with makeup honestly so I'll probably find this spot really useful. One downside I have to mention though is that when you make a purchase, they ask you for all this personal information such as name and e-mail. Then I started receiving Mecca Cosmetica newsletters when I didn't give permission for them to send me anything and they didn't notify me that I would receive any newsletters. While this is a smaller Mecca Cosemetica to the one in Myer in the city, it has the essentials and the big name makeup brands. They have the full NARS set (lipstick, foundation, eye shadow, you name it) as well as smaller but still just as awesome brands like Stila and Bare Essentials. It appears as though they have more skincare than makeup (which I love) including Dr Dennis Gross, Kate Somerville and their own namesake Mecca line. The best part about Mecca though? They'll do your makeup for you! If you have a big event on and don't want to head into the city, book an appointment with a makeup artist at Mecca. Whilst I was overseas, Mecca Cosmetica developed into the most important luxury brand beauty company in Melbourne and I'm ever so grateful that this store exists. All my favourite beauty brands are here - Stila, Nars, Laura Mercier, Bumble & Bumble - and others I didn't know about but that I'm so glad to have become acquainted with. One of the lovely things about Mecca is that they employ both male and female staff members. That was one thing I loved about Georges too. More men should work in make-up, it just totally works. The Mecca peeps are very careful to greet you and ask if you need assistance almost immediately upon entering their store, which is very nice unless you just want to be left alone to 'play' and each and every staff member approaches you in turn to ask you if you need help. Still, they're just trying to be helpful. And the great thing is that they don't mind if you do just want to have a play with all their make-up. You can apply and reapply lipstick to your heart's desire and there's never a shortage of tissues and make-up remover to keep the looks you want to create ever evolving. Excellent fun.

You see I'd forgotten to pack a facial cleanser in my haste to get to Melbourne and wanted a non-descript cream cleanser to tide me over. This Priceline is certainly bigger and more Sephora-inspired than any other I've ever shopped at and it is separated into areas for different products (nails, fragrance, makeup, skincare, and pharmacy right at the back). I did so well to stay on target before being distracted by a limited edition Bourjois eyeshadow. My only knock against this store is that during my visit I did have one quick query for staff but there were none to be found. And, when I did approach one staff member in a neighbouring area I was told she wasn't able to leave her post to assist. If you know what you want and where to to find it you'll be a-okay.
