I worked there as a Massage Therapist, and the owner is quite rude and unprofessional. She keeps the therapists tips that we work for and splits them to cover her business costs like for her credit card processing fees. I'm not even sure if that is legal. She doesn't want the clients to leave us the tips directly, so how do we even know if she is giving us our money? The one or two times that a client left me money directly, the owner was extremely agitated and lectured me about making sure I tell the clients to leave the money up front! WHYYYY? It's MY tip that "I" worked for. As a Massage Therapist, I would caution you NOT to work for her. It's definitely some shady business practices there, and I worked there years ago and after reading these reviews I can see NOTHING has changed. She's very rude, and feels since it's her business she can do what she wants, say what she wants, and treat people the way she wants. Don't be fooled by the fact that she possibly knows what she is doing or that she has been in business long. She is highly unprofessional, and the high turnover rate in her therapists is a key indicator that she does NOT know how to treat other professional colleagues. It's sad, because she works alone and it's simply because she's just a horrible person to work with or for. Any business that has high turnover rates, I always look at management and in this case it is definitely the owner. She's a very evil lady. Don't let her fool you. Look elsewhere for employment. The massages are excellent but the receptionist is a horrible, horrible person!! Extremely rude, negative, stressful. Requires you to pay gratuity before service begins, and while yes tip is expected at such services, requiring a certain percentage and requiring it before the service is not okay. Not professional and not rational. Her attitude is also just so ugly I felt more relaxed before I got there than during and after. I'm never going back. Initially I thought that the reviews I read for this business were harsh... I thought to myself "certainly this place can't be that bad..." but boy was I wrong! As someone who treats herself to massages quite often, I have NEVER had to deal with such an unprofessional, lackluster facility. A place dedicated to relieving stress and providing a calming experience for their patrons does JUST THE OPPOSITE! I purchased a groupon and set my appointment about 3 weeks in advance... I arrive to the raggedy looking building only to be told that they've "tried to contact me because the massage therapist left early with a fever," which apparently is the story that many other pre-paying customers have been told. I was re-scheduled for a day which I NEVER agreed to, and told that I would have to pay a $45 reschedule fee. I wouldn't step foot back into that place if they gave me free services for an eternity. It's poorly managed and the people are RUDE. Simply rude. "Hanging up in your face" type of rude. This is far from acceptable. Very hard to get ahold of. Spent weeks trying to make an appt. Voice mail was always full and she never returned calls. I had an appt scheduled and the day before sent a text asking about cancelling and what would the cancellation fee be. She replied the next morning. "Please confirm you want to cancel. Cancellation fee is $45. So more than two hours before my appt I texted her back and said I didn't think it would be that high and was it too late for me to come anyway. It was a 40 minute trip and I didn't want to go without knowing I still had an appt. I texted and called her two more times with no response. I finally just drove out there. I called her and said I was there and had she gotten my messages. She said she doesn't check her phone all day long and that she was now on her lunch break. I asked if I could wait because I was outside her business. She said she usually takes an hour lunch break and would have to reschedule me. She'll never get another cent of my money. read more

I bought a 90 minutes hot stone massage from this place through GROUPON. I scheduled my appointment for September 9 , 2015. When I got there nobody was there and the spa was closed, so I called them and left 3 messages. 2 days later somebody called me,I think she said her name was Tarsia. She said she called me Friday on my work number. When I asked her why she didn't call me on my cellphone, they have my cell number because I know they texted me before or send me an email, which they have done that before. The lady said that she didn't want my business anymore and immediately hung up the phone. Please everyone that is reading this DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I DID. The Therapist and her service was great however, unfortunately for her the owner is VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!! The owner told me I had to leave my tip with her so I did, but then I let the massage therapist know and that's when the owner got very upset! We set up an appointment for this week. I just came from that appointment and I'm happy to report that it was wonderful. I showed up 5 minutes early and she was there waiting for me. After reading the other review I was unsure about making an appointment. My experience was incredible. I had a hydrafacial, which has since been named the #1 in spa treatment by New Beauty magazine. I had very specific skincare concerns, and I was so pleased with the initial results that I purchased a package of 10. The spa is super clean, the tables are larger than normal and are heated, and the robes are very plush...definitely nicer than other spa robes. The owner obviously loves what she does. It is a very small spa, so it is true that a person will usually get an answering service when calling. But I never had any issues with communication. I also had several massages by Kimberly and she has strong, dexterous hands! She knows various massage styles. Katia is an excellent massage therapist. I had one of the best massages ever. Upon arrival the door was locked. I knocked. When the door opened I was rudely told that I didn't have to knock. This was the owner/receptionist. I knew that the gratuity was expected before the service. I said this was new to me and how does it work? I had been having pain in my right knee/leg for sometime now, the level of pain was probably an 8 when I went in, after the therapy my pain is now not down to an 2...I was told by my Dr. Back in 2013 that I had Rheumatoid arthritis and 2017 that I was going to need a knee replacement...what the therapist did for my body in one appointment, I don't think I'll be having a knee replacement...thank you Aesthetics anti-aging center! The massage therapist did a great job and was very professional. I enjoyed her services. I will not be returning because the woman who was the receptionist/owner whomever she is was very unprofessional and requested the tip BEFORE the massage was even given. Literally as soon as I walked in the door. I'm sorry but gratuity is not required for any service and if the service was poor that will be reflected in the tip. In addition I had purchased the 90 minute Groupon and instructed in my booking that it was the service I was requesting. When I arrived, this same woman told me that the "receptionist" only booked me for an hour and basically told me I could come back another day to get the remaining 30 minutes ? If you or your staff fails to make the accurate accommodations, that is on you, not the customer. Also, after she redeemed my groupon (which makes the purchaser unable to pull the groupon back up once it has been marked redeemed) she tried to question whether I had purchased a 90 or 60 minute massage. I don't recommend receiving any services here - not because the massage therapist was incompetent - but because of the unprofessional owner or whomever she was at the front. If you are going to discriminate against groupon users then don't solicit business through them. She specifically said "for Groupon users we require gratuity be paid at the desk" after I said that I'd never been asked to leave a tip before services were even rendered. The absolute worst customer service I have ever heard of. Tarcia is more concerned with feeling vinidicated than she is with providing good customer service. She decided to charge my wife a $35 fee for missing an appointment, she missed this appointment because our 5 year old son was running a fever of 102 and she had to take him to the doctor, something Tarcia repeatedly told my wife she did not care about. Take into account my wife has already paid $350 for services that Tarcia has yet to render, and now refuses to refund. Tarcia kept stating she has to run a business. I'm not sure what kind of business she believes she is running, but she advertises a service business and clearly she does not care to provide good customer service. Good service would be to honor the $350 she was paid, good customer service would be to allow my wife to pay the $35 fee on one of the other four sessions she's already paid $350 for and yet to receive. Great customer service would be to accept the fact that emergencies come up, be empathetic to the fact that our 5 year old was sick, something we were able to prove via receipts, and just say hey, I'm sorry you missed that appointment because your son wasn't feeling well, I know you were looking forward to it, and I hope he's feeling better now, I'll waive this $35 fee as an exception. But Tarcia is not empathetic, she does not care about her clients. Something Tarcia stated to my wife numerous times before calling the sheriff on her because she was upset that her PAID services were not going to be rendered. A fact that is also evidenced by her condescending and uncaring replies to other unsatisfied customers in these reviews. We will be reporting her to the BBB as she has now stolen $350 from us and caused myself to miss a day's worth of wages. Tarcia is supposed to be selling a relaxing experience, instead she decided to provide one of the most stressful situations we have ever experienced. Had a bad experience with this spa owner/operator when I decided not to purchase the remaining facials in a package deal after realizing that her microderm abrasion treatments were not up to par with treatments I've had at other much nicer spas. She then proceeded to threaten me that she has a lawyer; as if she would not be scared to sue me for not paying for future treatments that I had not received. Purchased a 90 minute hot stone massage off of Groupon. Had never heard of the place but the reviews seemed ok. Showed up for my appointment a few minutes early for my 10 am appointment. The place is unimpressive, not a spa environment but was clean. The girl at the counter was not terribly friendly and collected the gratuity immediately. Miffed me a little as I consider a tip as a reflection of how pleased I am with the service but apparently it's on obligation here. I tipped generously and was taken back to the "massage room". It was a cramped makeshift space, cheaply decorated. The girl was friendly enough but a hot stone massage I did not get. She massaged an arm then rubbed a hot stone up and down it once then put the stone away. Massaged the leg then rubbed the stone up and down it then put it away. When the time came for me to flip over on to my back, she confirmed with me that my appointment was for 90 minutes to which I replied yes. I thought perhaps she was saving the best part of the stone massage for my back. Wrong. Treated the back just the way she treated the front. When it was all said and done she asked me to get dressed and meet her out front. I got dressed and clicked on my phone to see that it was 10:59. She cheated me out of 30 minutes! I walked up front just ready to leave but the girl at the front had me locked in until I listened to her schpeil about all the different packages that were available for purchase. No thank you! WORST experience I have ever had!! My friend and I bought Groupons for facials on the 7th of September, and started calling this so-called 'spa' the next day to schedule an appointments. Both of us called and left messages for DAYS never to get a response. We were starting to wonder if this place even existed! Finally, I found an e-mail link on their website an wrote an e-mail explaining how we had both been trying to schedule an appointment, and would like to do so! (This e-mail was sent on the 13th, SIX days without a returned call) Surprisingly, the e-mail was answered rather promptly and in a professional mannor, so I started to feel a little better about the previous situation. That is, until after several e-mails back and forth, she was unable to accommodate us with an appointment. Finally, a couple more days later I actually received a phone call, and a VERY rude one at that. Basically the extremely unprofessional owner called me a liar, and that there was only one phone call and message received and it was that day. Fine. At this point I just kind of wanted to get this over with and made an appt for today at noon. Upon my arrival (which I was 'squeezed into due to a cancellation), the 'spa' (more like a hole in the wall) was completely empty. Thanks for squeezing me into your busy schedule! I informed the one person there, apparently the owner, that my friend had yet to get her calls returned to schedule her appointment and offered to give her my friends phone number. She then informed me that she was planning on telling us that we should return our Groupons (AFTER driving 45 minutes to get there!). Why? Because WE had stressed HER out with all of our phone calls and messages!!! (And I thought I was a liar, and only called the one time?) Extremely agitated at this time I started heading for the door and informed this woman that I would be contacting Groupon about her awful 'spa' and even worst customer service. This owners response? To run to the door I was trying to exit from scream at me to get the F out of her salon and that she has plenty of clientele and does not give a S about me or groupon! I looked around and said well I see that, as this place is completely packed with clients! (Again, there was not a soul there, wonder why?!?!?!) Again I tried to leave only to have this sorry excuse of an owner follow me outside continuing to cuss me out! I was in complete shock!! She then got into her car and drove away!
