Of course, I had to call and see if Dr Meldrum would do my upper and lower blepharoplasty, bc I'm at that age, 62 yrs old. Dr Meldrum agreed to do my upper bleph but not my lowers. Dr Meldrum said that my lower eyelids didn't need it yet. So, she won't just take your money like many other doctors will. I did my research of his credentials and saw his work on two of my friends prior who were super happy with their results. Choosing a surgeon is a big deal, so I would really recommend him to anyone. I drove 2.5 hours just to go to him because of how comfortable he made me feel and his easy going non- pushy personality made me feel like I could trust him. There are a lot of slimey surgeons out there trying to make a buck, but Dr Rechner makes you feel like you matter and realizes that this isn't an everyday decision for you. I have been treated at this location for many years for my glaucoma. Dr. Wang did a good job of…read morebeing vigilant in diagnosing, and treatment of my eye condition. He is an excellent physician and surgeon. I simply didn't feel like I had enough information and never got a print out to go over once I got home - I find this is helpful for patients - I did have one cataract removal in May--he uses Grand Valley Surgical Center on Leonard (not a great experience there) and the results were less than what I expected - both in outcome and in following up with conversations about what to expect. The office is small with one doctor. His wife works the front desk, is extremely busy and not the most patient when you get on her nerves. You should expect to wait a while for your appointment. One good thing I can say is that if Dr. W sees something you need done, he will usually treat you on the spot at that time, rather than making you wait weeks, months, etc. Mainly, I had a problem understanding their English with a very thick Chinese accent. I don't feel I was completely informed - perhaps because of poor communication skills. They seem understaffed and overworked, which is probably the reason I left. I will be moving to another Eye Center to care for my visual needs. I do, however, wish them both the best.
