This caused the unit to display an amber light, and a humming sound comming from the speakers. My unit at the time was a Dacor model which they no longer make. I surfed the internet and found a web site called "Fix ya" which had the Lordantech Technologies available to fix the Icebox flipscreen. I couldn't find anybody locally so I contaced the company in New Jersey. The owner asked me to ship the unit to his company and he would fix it. He fixed the unit and it is now up and running. The motherboard and power supply had to be repaired by the ICEBOX dealer. The TV had to travel clear across the nation to somebody I do not know. They knew ahead of time that I would wait on the premise while the camera was swapped. When the day came, I arrived and was told that it would take 1 to 2 hours to complete. 3 hours and 45 minutes later, my car was done. They charged me $757.89!!! Part of that cost, according to the receipt, was for materials used like wiring, adhesives, etc. I supplied them with my own adhesives. When I came home, I noticed that the camera they swapped out is missing the mounting bracket that it came with. And, when I got my car, they rearranged my side view mirror and rear view mirror without putting it back the way it was. When I complained about the mirror, the kid who installed it blamed it on the necklace I had hanging off of the mirror. No. I removed the necklace and the mirror swivels to the point where it can't stay put. I'm mad at myself for not having asked upfront what the cost would be. But, I've purchased cameras and had installation done elsewhere for far less than what Sound Waves charged for installation and didn't think they would charge an absurd amount. And, the front dash cam was installed 6 inches below the old one. It's not like I paid for top quality. I only went to Sound Waves because it was more local compared to where I used to live. Price-gouging criminals and thieves! You are much, much better off going somewhere else.
