I was grateful that this US Post Office was near the Indiana Convention Center where the Health & Fitness Expo was held, because it allowed me to ship out my postcards and other mail I had brought with me while in Indianapolis. When I walked in there was only one customer inside, but not in line though. I waited briefly before being acknowledged by the clerk who at the time was speaking to her co-worker. My visit ended up being in-and-out because there were not any other customers. As someone who visits post office locations regularly whether it be for Poshmark or eBay shipments, the clerk was respectful during our brief encounter. I was on my way in minutes after she presented me with stamps for my postcards and took them after. I am terrible at doing the surveys on the receipts pertaining to my visits, but rest assured, I always share a review based on my experiences. There is a lobby area with PO boxes and then there is the service area, and they have different hours. It's not the nicest place or the nicest part of town, but the parking is very easy. Second, the staff didnt seem very proactive in problem solving some of the issues that arose during our visit. I stepped up to the sec service kiosk and one of the workers was operating it (not so self service). She quickly tapped in my order of 80 postcard stamps and after it started realized that it was individually printing each stamp (with no folding edges). The process of printing each stamp ended up taking 20 minutes!! Keep in mind, this is after I already waited 15 min in line to get to the kiosk. I asked if she had postcard books that she could swap out so we wouldn't have to wait and she laughed and shook it off - "you're going to be here for awhile!". At this point, I was stick after spending nearly $50 on the stamps. I asked another worker who walked by if she could help and she said I'd have to go inside and wait in line (which would require leaving the stamps as they're printing...). Overall, a frustrating experience. It seems that this location could use a little more coaching/improvements. I'll be going elsewhere in the future.

There may have been one around the corner, but it was not in the open for me to see from the entrance. I went into the lobby and got in line. The young woman who assisted me was fast and efficient (Clerk #77 - I didn't catch her name, but that is what was on the bottom of my receipt). I'd watched her with two people ahead of me and she seemed to be very knowledgeable as well. She scanned in my packages, being sure to weigh them for accuracy. She then asked if I needed any stamps or anything to take home. I declined. She printed my receipt and highlighted the tracking info in two places. She did this all with the utmost professionalism and a smile. Kuddos to her!

While our snack shop at work typically carries stamps, they've been out for a bit and I finally made my way over here. It's pretty convenient as it's adjacent to the Target in Nora. It's simple to park at Target and just wheel on over to this branch. Like most branches, this has a private parking lot for delivery trucks. While I've seldom seen this branch without a line, parking is for the most part plentiful and there are a handful of accessible parking spots with a sidewalk that is level to the ground. This is an older branch for sure, however, per most federal requirements it does meet ADA (though I'd say it's on the low-end of ADA). Doors are not automatic. There's a double-sided entry that takes you into an area with quite a few mailboxes (for rent) along with a self-service kiosk. If you turn right, you get another set of double-doors where you can get customer service (or some version of it) and two more self-serve kiosks. They also sell lots of shipping supplies in here. The self-serve kiosks work pretty well, though one of the three was out of order today. This branch does all the basics - shipping, mailing, passport photos, sales (stamps/shipping/etc.), money orders, etc. As several have noted, customer service here is hit-and-miss. It's occasional quite good. Occasionally not. The lobby is open 24-hours and, as noted, there's a self-serve kiosk in the lobby (though today it was the one not working). Love the self-serve kiosks. Everything else here is a mid-range experience and practically the definition of it. Oddly enough, though, this is still one of my preferred branches and there's no doubt I'd return on those rare occasions when I need traditional mail services.

It had at one point reached my hometown then it was routed back to the Indianapolis hub where it's stranded until today. I submitted an inquiry, and received an email suggesting that I submit a claim for it. Unfortunately they wanted me to provide proof of insurance, shipping documents, etc... all those are difficult to get from the ebay seller. I find the USPS completely incompetent for losing my package and now I'm having to jump through hoops to submit the claim. I will ship UPS or Fedex next time.

A cool antique scale is out on a table. There was plenty of parking in the dedicated lot.

Usually I am able to use the self serve kiosks but occasionally I have to wait in the line. And the line can be very long, and very slow. One serious issue with this location that the mailboxes in front with the drive thru access are often full. I've seen both mailboxes completely stuffed with mail sticking out of the slot. Once it was raining hard and I could see mail stuffed inside that was getting wet. I don't ever drop my mail in the outside boxes anymore because they definitely don't collect the mail often enough. So I park and go inside to mail my letters.

On our first trip, we had an appointment and all of the supporting documentation outlined on the application and online, but we were told by Brady that we'd need an additional piece of information that was not listed. He came off as extremely knowledgeable and familiar with the process, so we took his word for it. Before even leaving the station, I'd received (via email) the necessary documentation, however we had no way of printing it there. Brady advised us that he was booked full for the rest of that day, but that I should come back with that documentation for my daughter's application and they'd get us taken care of. That was on Friday, 7/15/22. The next day, I went online to schedule another appointment, however there was an issue with the scheduler on the website. I went through all the steps, but did not receive confirmation that my appointment was booked. The appointment was for 7/20/22 at 10:45am, but I did not receive the confirmation email until 7/20/22 at 5:23pm. I walked into the location the next day (7/21/22) in hopes that I could be helped without an appointment. I was turned away. I tried, to no avail, to drop Brady's name and to mention the issue with the scheduler, but it didn't matter. They wouldn't help me. Today, I returned with all documentation, an appointment AND Brady was there!!! But guess what?! I didn't bring my child....duh, Kandice, they aren't going to issue a passport if the individual (even a minor) isn't present. I did all the steps required during my appointment time and Brady promised that he'd do his best to accommodate me if I returned with my daughter, although he was booked full for the rest of the afternoon. I scheduled an appointment for Thursday (the next available), but told him I'd return and wait today if I had to. On visit #4, which was my second for the day, I was able to complete the task. He had an appointment going and another couple on standby (no appointment), but he worked us in and got us taken care of. I really appreciated his extra effort and understanding. We need more people like him working in customer service positions! You can tell he cares about his job and the service that he is providing!!!
