I was in and out within 45 minutes, the waiting room was clean and comfortable, the provider (Audrie Cheek,NP) was patient, attentive, and really listened to all of my concerns, and even took the time to just chat with me. After doing extensive research and visiting numerous doctors I now know that this should've been painfully obvious for anyone in the medical field. Hundreds of dollars down the drain in cardiac visits and tests. This place shouldn't be in business. The staff shouldn't be employed. Even when they thought the worst was happening to me, they were not just kurt, but incredibly rude. I was visiting my college daughter the weekend of August 27, 2021. On Saturday I had to take her to a doctor for signs of food poisoning or just secondary effects to a late meal. I was stays at hotel in this plaza and seemed convenient to got to this Urgent Care facility. Yes, I check reviews before crossing the street but I was just plain optimistic. I was seen at 6 pm like I set up the appointment for and I simply came in for routine testing. I was taken back to a room within 15 min. But that's where the good story ends. I sat there for 2 more hours before I was allowed to leave. They couldn't get my blood so they gave me papers to goto a Labcorp nearby and have them do it. I made an appointment on-line around lunchtime. I drove the 15 minutes or so to the office, and was brought back within a few minutes. I was worked up by a very kind and compassionate young woman. She absolutely could not have been nicer to me. A few minutes later the (very cute) doctor person came in and he LISTENED TO ME!! To be honest, I was shocked that someone at a doctor's office was taking the time to listen to my situation. He SAT down and took time with me! My own doctor never does that. He gave me advice, told me what he thought about my situation. I felt like I was heard and I was relieved, as I thought my symptoms may have pointed to something more serious. Worst experience I have ever had at a "doctor's office." Had a 2 hour wait just for the nurse to take me to a room to wait for another hour. Finally had someone come in to assess me, and I specifically told her verbally and on paper that my friend has bronchitis and that I spent the whole weekend with him. The nurse told me that bronchitis is not contagious, and they tested for covid and the flu. Both tests came back negative, yet their diagnoses was "an acute upper respiratory infection" and "suspected exposure to covid." Not only did I test negative for covid (contradicting their diagnosis), but it sure sounds like my friend gave bronchitis to me. I guess that is on me though, next time a doctor tries to tell me bronchitis isn't contagious, I guess they just aren't qualified to diagnose me. read more

I had a lady come in to my office for a medical reason (she already had an appointment with AFC of Clemson prior to her interaction with me) I was double checking that she did have something stuck in her ear so I did advise her to keep her AFC appointment because I am not a medical provider and she was not my patient. My office was called by Megan and blasted for "referring patients". I have referred hundreds of patients to this office over the past 2 years because I thought they had other medical providers/professionals besides Dr. Suits but apparently that is not the case. I will never send another person there again. I am grateful to Dr. Suits and his team for always being professional and kind to all of my referrals but I will find other resources for my patients because I do indeed ALWAYS try to help my patients in the best way possible. read more

The issue isn't the actual clinic itself. The issue is with your online reservation process. Once you fill out information it gives you a number that you are in line and tells you a text message will be sent to update your status when it should say to head on over to the actual location and fill out more paperwork so then they can place you in line! All these places are so corrupt, don't go here unless you want a surprise bill of $200 dollars 2 weeks later for a "new patient" fee. I was quoted $99 for a tetanus shot due to stepping on a rusty nail. A quick look by the doc and a shot later I paid my $99 and was on my way. I was quoted for $99 dollars and that was that. Two weeks later I receive a text from them stating I owe $200. I was pretty baffled. Mind you there was NO charge statement listed or reason for the charge. I called their office in Clemson explaining, a woman directed me to billing via a phone number. I'm met with someone who obviously doesn't speak English very well and tells me it's a "new patient fee" and that their invoices takes about two weeks to process and that is the reason for the charge. I called BULL. I was never made aware of this charge prior, nothing in any fine print, just a random charge of $200. I battled with her over the phone for my whole lunch break explaining this was price gouging. If it was between $45-70 that would have been no problem.. Nurse and doctor were both extremely rude. Could hear them calling me stupid and laughing at me outside of my room. In no way whatsoever was this professionally run. I would drive very far out of my way to avoid this urgent care again. They sent in a different nurse than the one that was taking my vitals and tests to give me my results. The worst experience!!!!!! I had severe symptoms and went into AFC Urgent Care Clemson to find relief. They left me empty handed and assured me I was completely fine. The following morning my symptoms worsened. I called explaining and they refused to see me again. My daughter visited and saw Dr. Suits. When she left, she called me in tears saying the daughter was creepy and treated her terribly. He left her in the exam room and didn't come back to explain what would happen next as she had flu symptoms and has been sick for quite a while. The ladies at the front desk (who sere very kind and helpful) explained to her that he was running a strep throat test and the results would be back in a few days. The doctor offered her nothing to help her feel better in the mean time. Five days later a nurse calls to tell her she has strep and that she would have Dr. Suits call the prescription in and she could pick it up in a few hours. She goes to pick it up about 7 hours later and it is not ready because Dr. Suits had not called the prescription in. Avoid this man. read more

My daughter made an 8:30 am appointment to have stitches removed (a simple, couple of minutes procedure). Did all online check in beforehand. Was informed when arriving at 8:20 they got a new system and she had to complete all new written paperwork. She does all of that and proceeds to sit there for 2.5 hours watching multiple other people be called back. She was treated terribly by the front office staff especially when she asked if she was still in line to be called back. So it's now 11am, she got called back but told she was still going to have to wait. The nurses and PA's we have seen there are super nice but that doesn't make up for the treatment by the front desk. From now on, this place would be an absolute last resort for us. read more

I normally don't complain. I understand a wait at any doctors office, especially an urgent care facility, is to be expected. However, the wait at AFC Urgent Care Clemson is ridiculous. I made an appointment online, did all of the pre-registration before arriving, and still had to wait 2 hours to be seen for a sports physical. People who came in behind me, who I heard state their later appointment time, were even seen before me. I don't know what the problem is, but they really need to obtain and train staff that know how to organize and keep a better flow of patients in and out the door. My gut reaction was to leave the AFC, Clemson location as soon as the receptionist responded to my inquiry, and I didn't listen to my instinct. Truly could not have had a worse experience at this urgent care. The employees were extremely rude, short, and make you feel like you are a nuisance for coming in to be seen. They make it very obvious that they do not care about how you're feeling and just want to get you out of the door. The doctor I saw was kind and understanding but the staff at the front were horrible. AFC Urgent Care is a joke. Dr. Suits does not care about his patients, just how fast he can move onto the next. It seems like he gets his medical advice from Wikipedia. I went in with sinus congestion and breathing issues, and his only advice was to get some OTC meds (that i was already taking and hadn't helped) and wait 10 days and go see my PCP or come back in office. He dismissed my breathing issues completely. I had to ask him for a prescription for an inhaler which he did not send in and when I called back to the office their advice was to come back in for more terrible service or go to the ER. Absolutely unacceptable. I did end up doing a virtual visit with my PCP who sent in antibiotics, cough medicine, and an inhaler. Going to AFC was a complete waste of time, I hate that I even wasted time and my insurance on a visit to this place. read more

This place is terrible. Been here twice (only because I was very sick and couldn't get an appointment at CVS minute clinic). They never give you antibiotics and just send you on your way with some irrelevant medicine. The doctor really thought prescribing me Claritin would make my sinus infection go away. Went to CVS minute clinic the next day and they said I had a severe sinus infection and needed antibiotics ASAP.
