While the nurses and receptionist were very kind and helpful, my experience with the PA, Cary, was unfortunately very disappointing. His bedside manner came across as dismissive and unprofessional, and I felt like I was being talked down to rather than listened to as a patient. At one point I was asked what I thought was wrong with me, which felt strange since I came in looking for medical guidance as someone who is not a healthcare professional. Because of this experience, I will NOT be returning. I seriously hope Cary receives additional training in patient communication and bedside manner in the future. read more

I had a horrible experience here. The whole operation is unprofessional. Nurses with attitudes charting on a post-it note. The doctor, Carey, I saw was belittling and super rude. I told him he was making me uncomfortable and then he finally stopped chirping at me. Never knew cold symptoms could be made so complex. In an industry where your job is literally to provide care, the way you treat people matters. Nobody wants to be at an urgent care less than the patient, but at this location apparently it's the staff who don't want to be there most. I was unable to get in with my primary doctor for a sick visit for several weeks so walked in and was seen within about 15 mins of check in. The staff were all very friendly. The PA who saw me was very informative, offered preventative solutions, and gave me a wonderful consultation about what prescriptions would best address my sickness. Reception was nice but the manager should not be in management. I called the day before to check if their office did the xray testing I needed (ordered by chiropractor). I was told they do and that the person who performs the test would be on site the following day and I can just walk in. When I did that, the manager informed me that they do not do that testing nor do they take orders from other offices. When I tried to say that I had called yesterday, she interrupted me, spoke over me and would not allow me to speak at all. When I tried to speak up because I had a valid question/complaint she accused me of yelling and "we are refusing service, you need to leave". I had driven 45 minutes to be disrespected when it was their office that messed up. All she had to do was listen instead of talk. I didn't even expect an apology. I want to start with the staff member that roomed us and the doctor we saw were very nice and professional. However, the visit got off to a rocky start. I called the office prior to scheduling an appointment and was told I could use my insurance for my daughter. When we got there, we were told we could not use the insurance and there was a $135 charge, which was fine. When we walked into the urgent care, there was a smell, the iPad to sign in on was not functioning so I waited to speak with the front desk attendant. She referred us to the iPad and I told her it was not working. She got the iPad back up and running and when we my daughter went to up to complete registration she was told of the charge, I inquired about using insurance and then my daughter paid the fee and sat down. The front desk attendant then began to talk about me and my daughter to another person there, saying we were upset about the fee at which point the other person snickered and said oh well. THEY GAVE MY HUSBAND SOMEONE ELSE'S ***POSITIVE*** COVID TEST RESULT. My husband and I came jn to get a COVID test for our upcoming travels. The girl who came out to do our tests... she gave a test to a man in the car next to us, and gave us our tests in the same transaction. ALL THE SWABS WERE JUST TOUCHING EACH OTHER IN HER HAND. 100% not medically professional or sanitary. Then she came out and gave the man next to us his negative result. We heard him talking with the staff that he was directly exposed and was surprised he tested negative. Then she gave us our results, and my husband had a positive result. THEY DIDN'T EVEN TELL US HE HAD A POSITIVE RESULT. They were just going to let us go without even explaining anything. We were very hesitant to believe that my husband tested positive. So, he got a rapid test and 2 more PCR tests somewhere else, and they were all negative. I'm usually not this harsh with reviews... but the girl who gave us our tests... -She almost ruined our international trip, as we need a negative test to travel. -We informed everyone that had contact with my husband that he tested positive... so, everyone (including ourselves) had their New Year's Eve plans ruined because they thought they were exposed to COVID from my husband. -There is now a COVID positive person out there spreading COVID because he thinks he had a negative test result. I went with my best friend because she was having really bad abdominal pain and just because she takes a few mental meds they ignored everything she was saying and did the bare minimum just so that they could write her off and send her on her way so we went to Butterworth and they are actually being very nice and helpful and doing there best to find out what is wrong and get her they actual help she really needed . The doctor I saw here was so kind, asked the right questions because I was sick and couldn't remember all my symptoms and instantly knew I had a ear infection and sinus infection. Its a pity that Yelp has a minimum 1 star coz this place doesn't even deserve that. My dad went here to get a Covid test done for travel purposes. One would expect a licensed pharmacist to be trained at such a simple task. Contrary to our expectations, the pharmacist inserted the swab so deep into my Dad's nostril that it started bleeding profusely. To add insult to injury, quite literally, there was absolutely no concern shown or action taken to stop the bleeding by any pharmacist. The wait time was not too bad contrary to typical urgent care centers. Dr. Byon was quite diligent in checking her out and suggesting what the next steps are. I was in yesterday 10-28 2021.The girl who drew my blood,was suppose to be training a new employee on how to draw blood.She did EVERYTHING wrong.she drew 3 tubes of blood and never removed the tourniquet, which was tied way too tight.I had marks on my arm for almost an hour.She drew it about 2 inches above the crease of my elbow.It was so painful the whole time.And within about 1-2 minutes it started bruising.Im in so much pain ,I cant use my left arm today.you can see a little hole in the white circle, this is where the needle was.And if your not good use a butterfly needle,much smaller,maybe less damage,with that being said I dont think she should be drawing any ones blood and certainly not training anyone to do this to a patient. I added a second photo to show the crease of my elbow below the bruising .The crease above bruising is from the tourniquet being tied so tight is bruised during the time it was on my arm.Iwill say I have gone here for over 4 years and never had a problem.Dr.Sheuly is great. read more

Years of treatment did not matter to her. She also has some very warped opinions on basic medical practices and treatments. Personal opinion outweighs actual patient care at this facility. Visited AFC today. The staff was friendly, efficient and professional. I was able to get in quickly and be seen by a physician who diagnosed a sinus infection. He prescribed antibiotics and his assistant phoned a prescription into my drug store. This was a huge service to me as I am from the east side of the state and don't have a local physician. When I went in for a sore throat and fever I was not given a full exam by the doctor and was told I had a viral infection; then I was rushed out of the room. Their self pay policy is very unclear and extra costs are not explained before you are expected to pay for them on your way out. I chose to go to another urgent care the next day and was given a different diagnosis with antibiotics prescribed. When I called to speak with the office manger about my disappointing experience, she turned it around on me and said I should advocate better care for myself if I feel the doctor isn't being throughout enough. I feel if I am trusting and paying a licensed doctor to care for me, I should not have to instruct them how to do so. I will not be returning to this facility. read more
