I've been here several times in the past. I made an appointment online before I arrived. Surprisingly. WhenI walked in the receptionist was on the phone and she didn't acknowledge me right away. There was no one in the waiting room which is unheard of so I was pleasantly surprised and hopeful that it wouldn't take long to be seen. I was seen by one of the Nurse Practitioners. He was nice overall. He explained several things about what could potentially be going on and suggested I follow up with my PCP about starting PT. I was "diagnosed", prescribed meds and out the door. This facility has highly questionable billing practices and procedures. I went in for a simple strep test and was billed $496 for three procedures: the strep test for $32 - my main reason for the visit, a medical procedure #87428 (i.e., reading the results of the test) for $125, and a new patient fee of $339. Good luck calling the offshore billing department to dispute the new patient fee that no one tells you about until you receive the bill. Don't waste your time and money with this billing company disguised as an urgent care clinic. read more

I went in with severe cough sore throat fever. Could barely talk or breath. Covid and flu test were negative. PA spent exactly five minutes with me. Called in tamaflu and an inhaler but got the prescription for the inhaler wrong. This was 11:30 in the morning. After several calls between pharmacy and their office I never got my inhaler never got a call back and was actually hung up on 10 minutes before they closed. She did not even offer a prescription cough medicine such as the little pearls. Told me to buy OTC cough medicine. Now four days later I am still running a fever, coughing, no appetite. She barely even listened to my lungs. Only good thing was my daughter just had similar virus and had an extra inhaler. Never shall I visit there again. Thank you for your response however you did not even address the fact that I never got the correct medication and I was hung up on by a rude receptionist. My daughter was on an antibiotic for strep throat and some medication spilled. She still needed 2 doses, I called to ask if they could call in the missed doses to the pharmacy. I was asked if she felt better and that the providers said she didn't need the doses if she felt better or that I could bring her back in to be seen. I have never heard of a provider not wanting to or encouraging not to complete a full course of an antibiotic especially for a child. read more

Came early for my my appointment, give them a call let them know I am in parking lot she said yes stay in your car we call you when you can come in. 45 minutes later still no ones called me, so I called in no ones answered. Wait again for another 15 minutes, the knock talked to one of them thwy treat me like I am lunatic "ok...you need to wait in your car ok?" No sorry for waiting for an hour without telling me that it will be late, it's not like I cane late, we even have to make an appointment. What appointment for if we have to wait for that long??? Went in yesterday for a sinus infection . I usually get them every few months . The pressure from the sinuses is usually what makes me go in because the pain gets so severe I can't even open my eyes. I'm always given antibiotics and it clears up within the next few days . The dr or whatever he was refused to give me antibiotics. Told me they never give antibiotics for sinus infections . I was back at this same place in April 2023 and was given antibiotics so why is it any different this time? I explained to the so called dr and he just looked at me like I was crazy and that the the person I saw in April shouldn't have given me antibiotics . It also seemed like they were pushing for it to be Covid with wanting me to take a test. I know my body better than anyone else and I know when it's a sinus infection or something else . Very disappointed/I was seen yesterday and I was advised to use over the counter products, thru out the day and night I got worse!! I called the facility to have something proscribed to me and because it's another provider they couldn't and I would have to go in again and another co-pay!! Went to facility at 815A to obtain PCR covid test for $139, told me it was $199. I was frustrated due to cost and I debated about cost and Ms. Morgan told me that the test is for Rapid not PCR - she told me I needed to be nice and that she just got in - I said would you like me to leave and she gave me a look of I don't care. 10 minutes later I am at Lawrence general hospital getting a free test for my son and I. Trapped in office for 1 and 1/2 with kid who is not sick in a sea of people with face masks and they will not let me take him outside and hold my spot. When I'm sick the only place I want to go is Doctor's Express. It's quick, but very thorough. Not having to sit at the hospital or in waiting room for who knows how long is amazing. The staff issue really nice too, really helpful, but just nice. Makes all the difference read more

My daughter was having a fever and cough. So we decided to come in here and super glad we did. Our daughters pediatrician was not in the office and it's an hour away. The facility was clean and welcoming. They usually have snacks but the day we went there were non left. The front desk lady quickly did hu the intake paperwork. She offered us water and within 5 mins of walking in we were in a room waiting to see a doctor. My family were the only ones there. I recall seeing a room that was setup for kids. Drawings of different characters on the walls unfortunately we were not able to go to that room as some one just left it. Our room was large and cleaned well. It has a TV with a ton of channels. So here the most amazing thing about our visit- Dr. Matos!! He was simply amazing. He's bedside manner was so impressive my daughter asked to have him as her PCP. Dr. Matos assessment was followed perfectly!!!!!!! That's saying a lot as he is very experienced and it's very common to have provider do a half A$$ job with that much experience under there belt. He's voice was claiming and warm. He listened to every world we said and truly understood that my daughter was not going to take medicine three times a day for five days. My daughter is 5 so giving her any medication was going to be a Up hill battle. We normally have to get extra pink medicine just because she will spill it out. Dr. Matos asked us a parents what we wanted to do and discussed different types of medicine. This was extremely welcoming to me because that's what a doctor is suppose to do. Dr. Matos did not speak down to us just because we were parents and he wore a white coat. Dr. Matos single-handedly broke down, put to bed, totally removed the stigma of what one would assume going to an emergency clinic doctor would be in my opinion. read more

The absolute worst "urgent" care. DO NOT GO HERE! I spent over two hours in total between the waiting room and exam room, and was never seen by a doctor. I understand that urgent care typically tends to be slow, but the people who work here made it clear to me that they have no capacity for consideration of their patients and their time. Tried taking my special needs son for COVID testing this morning. Did all the pre-registration online like we were supposed to. Get there, tell them we are here for testing as we just traveled and he needs to get back to school. I was asked if he has symptoms or has been exposed. I said no and again it was as we traveled. I was then told insurance won't cover 'peace of mind' testing. Really? If we traveled, we were potentially exposed! So apparently I should have LIED to actually get tested and have it covered. Total BS as the specific criteria was never stated absolutely anywhere online. I also noticed the gentleman next to me just kept hearing no no no from the woman "helping" him. Seems like they prefer to say no to customers instead of actually HELPING them. Place is trash just like the people working there! read more

I went here with a few of my family members to get tested. The ease of setting the appointment online based on my availability was what made me chose this place. Unfortunately, it ended up being a bad experience in terms of a mistake that the lab made which made me go back for another sample for testing. I totally understand. Mistakes happen. But after a week later, my mom received a call in which they informed her that they had her results swapped. This is just unacceptable and makes this place untrustworthy. Terrible. Went for Covid testing. Was promised Rapid testing. When arrived we were notified that they are not doing rapid tests anymore. There website and phone info line says they are only doing rapid. Impossible to get a human to answer any phone line. All phone mailboxes are full and unable to take messages. Was promised results in 48-72 hours. 4 days later and still no info. Don't waste your time. Found out that Quest Diagnostics is processing there tests. Was able to open a Quest account and see results. AFC is absolutely stealing money. Would never go back. I have had 5 tests for work and really miss CVS drive through. read more

I went in because I had A LOT of blood in my urine and I was pretty sure it was a kidney stone but I wasn't positive so I came to AFC to figure out what was going on. The nurse completely dismissed me and told me it was because of my period which I wasn't even on yet... I told her "I know the difference between blood in my urine and a period" she again told me "no I believe it's just your period" I went to the er a few days later, they told me I had a very big stone that needed to be surgically removed. The er doctor told me that she couldn't believe how AFC treated me. I will never ever go back. I did email them to let them know what happened and that I did have a stone and I received nothing back. I really hope people stay away from this dangerous place. read more

They make you sign a waiver to charge your card for anything under $250...Lie to you about it saying they dont take the money without asking, and then charge your card at random with no notice. They take forever, make you feel rushed once your in there, and seem like they dont know what they are doing. The place smelled and was dirty and disorganized! Went there for the first time because of ear pain the doctor told me my ears were filled with fluid (not normal or okay) instead of giving me antibiotics told me to go to a pharmacy to buy a decongestant (not sure why). Went to buy it because that's what she said and here we are 3 weeks later after going to a real doctors office, my primary doctor, and not to my surprise that fluid turned into a horrible ear infection in both ears and sinus infection that I'm now on steroids and antibiotics. Could have avoided all this if it was properly treated. Even my doctor questioned why I wasn't given anything. Never again! read more

Terrible. I had a splinter under my thumb nail and the Physicians Assistant (A "wanna be" not an MD) told me she needed a special "tool" to make a wedge cut in my nail in order to remove the splinters. It was 4:35 PM they were closing at 5:00PM and I-am 100% positive she did not want to get involved. They billed my insurance and me for a co-pay and they did nothing. Cost me $2000 at the ER the next morning where all they did was numb the nerves in my thumb and the PA at Salem Hospital removed the splinters in a minute. Tetanus shot and script for antibiotics and I was out the door in 30 minutes start to finish. read more

I was seen by Lindsay Korn who was so caring and made sure to listen to my symptoms. I have been at this location before but this time I felt I was well taken care of more than the first. She accurately diagnosed me and wrote me a prescription.. today I feel like I whole new person and can actually go on with my work. I had a bad fall over a holiday weekend and my dr was not in. I thought I could go to Dr Express for x rays to see if I had broken anything to avoid the high er copayment and long wait. I was told that, indeed I had broken a bone, was handed a few splints to choose from and sent on my way after paying my usual co pay. I kept getting bills for the co pay. I called and was told to call my insurance, they knew nothing except I owed them $. So helpful... My insurance said the way DrExpress submitted the bill was for a higher tier dr. So I owed a double copayment, rivaling a hospital copayment. I called DrExpress back and they said they would take care of it and resubmit it correctly. Never heard from them again, so I assumed, foolishly, it was taken care of. Guess what came in the mail today? A delinquent notice from a bill collector! I guess that is how DrExpress takes care of their mistakes... And by the way, months later, I was still having pain and unable to move the area in question. I went to see a specialist and they said there is NO evidence of a break at all. I am scheduled for surgery to repair what is really wrong next week. read more

This place is an utter joke. I have gone to the one in North Andover and it lacks service with one MA with a major attitude and in need of hygiene care but both locations have become a mess. People are running around with their heads chopped off and under a lot of stress and it shows. I asked for a manager and there was no manager. HOW IS THERE NO MANAGER IN THE EARLY MORNING!!!!! I waited for 2 hours (again) for a 15 minute check up. Something is not running correctly because I have been here ( Methuen location) a few times (July 2017 and Feb 2018) and things ran smoothly. Guess what the manager personally took care of me along with a PA (Jill)! The wait was uncalled for when the waiting area and the back was not full! I also asked to talk to the manager and it has been 2 weeks and never heard back ( Sarah). That is just plain unprofessional! To top it off I had to go else where to get treated. I went to Pentucket medical and smooth sailing despite the amount of patient. The wait time was 35 min! This will be my go to place now. STAY AWAY!!! read more
