WARNING!!!!! They screwed me and cost me money on the home price as well as repair and refuse to make me whole! Mark Bendit, shame on you! Please check the agreement before you sign. It says you waive your right to be compensated above the inspection fee if they are negligent!! Do not sign! Do not use their services!!! UPDATE!! Based on owners response: The owner didn't refer me to his insurance as he claims. He referred me to his lawyer, who stated they were not obligated to pay me for their negligence. They will only return my inspection fee if I sign a release form. Mark, please don't make me post the release form next. Finding a vendor that can 'do-it-all' was a head-pulling process until I found Mikhail (he goes by 'Michael') who said yes to all three. He showed up on time, immediately ran a ground scan performing the oil tank sweep, thoroughly went through the house for the inspection, and left a radon test kit in the basement to collect an air sample, all for about two hours. Very next day, I received three reports at 9pm: 1. Inspection 2. Termites 3. Oil Tank Sweep Currently awaiting a radon test result. Since collecting a sample takes two days and the sample has to be shipped to a lab, several more days are needed. He's done a great job and I highly recommend hiring him for your due diligence. I hired this home inspector after putting an offer on a house. The home inspector shows up and…read morebegins the inspection. After some time I notice that the inspector is wreaking the smell of alcohol. Inspector concludes, creates reports and so forth. Owner of the inspection company asked me for a review so I brought all this to his attention including the fact that no one ever answers the phone when I call. Commenced with closing and moved in and found 1) 3fl tub was never connected to a drain after opening ceiling 2) 2nd floor tub doesn't drain, completely blocked 3) 3rd floor radiator valve leaking at valve. 4) 1st floor tub draining very slow but draining 5) The Y on sewer drain pipe leaking and lastly Found waste sitting idly in the sump not draining to outside to the sewer. Yes, a home inspector absolutely must check that sinks, tubs, showers, and toilets are draining properly, as slow or backed-up drains indicate potential clogs, venting issues, or problems with the main sewer line, which can be costly repairs. They run water, flush toilets, and check for adequate water pressure and flow to identify these issues, along with leaks, cracks, and proper fixture securement, ensuring the drainage, waste, and vent (DWV) system functions as expected. It's my belief that this company was negligent and also I forgot to mention the owner's response to his guy coming in inebriated 8:00am in the morning was that they have a side business making wine SMH. I asked the guy for a refund because they obviously didn't do the job in which he explained that he would have to go to his insurance. This guy came here inebriated didn't do his job, charged me for a radon test which they never came back to pickup. The cost of the repairs for these plumbing issues are going to be in the thousands and I asked this guy for a simple refund and he basically said no. This was my fist purchase and I definitely don't recommend this business to anyone and in addition I would suggest carefully familiarizing yourself with the process for a successful home inspection. Words can't express how disappointed I am. None of this even includes the price of dry wall, labor and paint do your research before settling and don't end up like me.
