If no tests are ordered, they take me straight to a patient room to wait for the doctor--you all know this same-ole routine. I'm usually only waiting for a maximum of 15 minutes, in most cases less. The doctor is quick and efficient, while monitoring the progression of fluid buildup in my right eye (common issue for long-term type 1 diabetes). The checkout is seamless: All I have to do is give them the piece of paper that consists of doctor's notes for my next visit--they set my next appointment. They are easy and no-hassle about reschedules. I've never had issues with my insurance for any of the procedures recommended or performed by this medical team. Tell me, is there anything else that is required for five stars? Okay, yes, the doctor is personable and friendly. I'm not going to testify about how I love my doctor. If i could give negative stars, I would and here's why…read more Starting from the beginning- I opted out of my medical benefits in May 2025 due to cost as my employer had changed our insurance carrier and then found out I was pregnant in June 2025 and I couldn't get those medical benefits until open enrollment in May 2026, so naturally I applied for pregnancy medicaid to help with cost but was denied because I made too much money. I went into Dr. Leavitt office in Idaho Falls and wanted to be seen for prenatal care, but explained my situation with insurance and they referred me to Community Family Clinic for their sliding fee scale, so i scheduled an appointment and was seen there as many times as I could due to being cash pay and let them know I had a preference of Mountain View Hospital as my daughter born there in 2024 was an amazing experience. (I have had 3 pregnancies and all healthy babies) so I didn't exactly do every single appointment, but I did what I could afford for cash pay. Fast Forward to Thursday, February 5, 2026 around 6:30pm I walked into Mountain View Hospital as I was having contractions and was put in a wheelchair when i got up to Labor and Delivery and was taken to room 3 where I explained my situation to a nurse and shortly after I met Dr. Emily Jensen from Leavitt's office and was treated very poorly from the moment I was sat in that room. She was very unprofessional, rude, and incredibly judgy. I let her know that i wanted to decline the Vitamin K, Hep B, and the Eurithromyacin ointment on my son's eyes and that I wanted the cord to be white before cutting it as I'm more a natural first over modern medicine. I was talked down to like I didnt know what I was talking about and basically made me feel like I was stupid. She was very condescending and when my son was born after she broke my water and she let me tear 3 times and didn't give a crap about it. I was asked again about the Vitamin K and Hep B and was treated like I was a bad mother when i once again had to decline and she told me my decision was not what she would recommend. My son was handed to me and every light in that room was turned on and I was abandoned there alone from 1:25am until almost 5am holding my son while I was still numb from the epidural and could barely move. She never checked on me and didnt care to. I had to push the button for the nurse to ask if i was being moved or if i could get a bed for my son, so we could both rest. It wasnt too long after that, that I was moved to room 23 where i was given the silent treatment and treated like absolute crap then given a bed for my son. I never saw Dr. Jensen again and instead had a case worker in my room 11 hours after delivery asking me if I could afford my housing, food and electricity and it wasnt just once. I was harrassed about it 6 times and then was told we were reported to CPS for THC in my urine as I had not been aware of it and was told I was drug tested due to my refusal of those treatments for my son and my "insufficient prenatal care". My children are my whole life and I would never do anything to harm them. Dr. Jensen took an oath and is supposed to be unbiased as my decisions with MY child are my own. I would never recommend Dr. Jensen for anyone who is having a baby and wants to stay as natural as possible or not having full insurance yet! (I opted back into my insurance as the birth of my son was considered a "life event") AVOID DR. JENSEN SHE IS ABSOLUTELY AWFUL! This whole experience has had me stressed out, traumatized and crying for the duration of my 11 hour stay at Mountain View Hospital, that has followed me still today and had to get my attorney involved and its February 10, 2026 today. Please learn from this review.

I thought it was pretty expensive for the time. When I went this time the doctor asked if I had any problem areas and I told him I was getting small scabs on my head. He looked and did a quick couple of freezes and that was it. They did not check anything else and I was out of there in under 5 minutes. They charged me $450.00 for a quick talk and a couple of freeze treatments. I will not be back.

I went back in about a month ago to have new lenses ordered. They finally got them in!!. My frames , are okay, the screws keep loosening and I have had to have them tightened. The ear hook was digging into my head , they were able to fix that. The woman who fitted my glasses was constantly looking at her phone, and ignoring me. My glasses make me dizzy and give me a headache, because this is the first time I have ever had to wear glasses. The doctor was wonderful and explained everything very well.

Over several visits, one specific employee has repeatedly damaged my eye wear. My frames have suffered stripped screws, broken nose pad wires due to over-bending, and most recently, melted/pitted temple tips caused by improper use of the heating beads. Despite my attempts to report these issues, nothing changed. When I finally had it and expressed my frustration, the staff was dismissive. I was told that "good customers get better service" and was told to take my business elsewhere. Absolutely I will. The employee in question has 40 years of tenure. I grew a backbone today and won't tolerate this any more. I highly recommend driving to Idaho Falls or Blackfoot instead. The local convenience isn't worth the repeated damage to your glasses. I've had good experiences at Parkway Eyecare in Idaho Falls. Previously the two offices worked together but I was recently told Shelley Eyecare is no longer affiliated with Parkway Eyecare.
