I had John install 8" wide hardwood floors at our home on Sebago Lake after the home was completely…read morerenovated. I thought i was hiring a professional that knew what he was doing. That was far from the case. They installed these wide plank boards without a vapor barrier over a crawl space or troweling glue prior to install. Within 3 months the boards were cupping to the point that they are a trip hazard. John initially said he would take care of it and then strung me along for months to the point were he just stopped responding. The floors now need to be ripped out and replaced. I wouldn't recommend him for anything. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this hack.

A subcontractor started the job, but the principal then refused to finish it, ignoring our calls and texts for months and refusing to reimburse us for flooring that he was able to return to supplier. We have had to engage and pay a subcontractor to finish the job, for which we had already paid Abrams. Of note, the subcontractor who started the project has stopped working with Abrams. If you choose to engage Abrams, do not, I repeat, do not pay for anything until the work if finished.
