That aside, I can honestly say that owner David Sutton lives to serve his customers. the number of the truck is his personal cell phone and he has it with him all the time. You have a pretty good chance that he'll be the one crawling out of bed in the middle of the night to open your door. And, he'll be happy to do it. He'll get you in your car with some nifty little tools that don't mess up your locks. He can also handle big commercial projects like re-keying a church, school or office building. And he'll be nice about it. And you won't need to worry about your own security after he leaves because he's a stand up guy. read more

When taking my dog out at night, the door accidentally locked and left me outside with just my dog and, thank goodness, my phone. After calling 5 other "24/7" locksmiths who promised to have their tech call to help me -knowing that I was locked out of my home, at night freezing, Affordable Locksmith came to my rescue. They were kind, professional, reasonably priced, and timely. (I was grateful since I had been waiting in the cold for several hours prior while, one by one, the other companies I called promised me a response but not one ever did.). Worst customer service ever. We were trying to work around our busy schedule in trying to get a car key made but the man on the phone was getting upset with us simply due to his lack of patience. I took a Friday afternoon off after scheduling an appointment for him to come to my home earlier in the week. It was an absolutely beautiful afternoon with sunshine and warmth which has been long overdue this year. I was there an hour early and waited for the visit but nobody showed up. There was a mystery call about 15 minutes before the appointment that I missed but no message? Bottom line, I suspect someone felt like going fishing or starting an early weekend. When I got back into town Monday I called them for an explanation and he rudely stated there was no point in discussing the matter unless I was interested in rescheduling. No apology, no concern, nothing! A classic example of a smooth talker who did a 180 on the drop of a dime. Please, there as so many locksmiths out there don't gamble with a psycho!!! read more

I had six locks on my house re-keyed by this company. The mans son did the ALL work while the owner talked to me. Afterwards, I was charged for two workers, 7 locks instead of 6, and they kept the original key that was used. Very dishonest work ethics. read more

I originally was going with another service, who was VERY nice on the phone, but was going to take quite a bit of time to get to my husband, who was locked out of his car. So, I went with this company with lower and less reviews, because it was the same price, but they could get there sooner. I should gone with my gut when I was on the phone making the appointment, as I had the address of the business, but didn't know the exact driveway my husband's car was in, since I wasn't with him...and the man on the phone made me feel like an idiot for not being able to tell him exactly where the car was (yes, I know this is an important part of completing such service, but I gave the address and the car's identifiers). My husband's phone was also locked in his car, and he was calling from the business's office phone where he was locked out at...I couldn't call him back. 14 minutes after speaking with this company, my husband called me back and said he didn't need the service any longer. I called the company back to let them know and I was outrageously ridiculed that I had contracted for a service and I still owed him and was reprimanded for canceling, as his gas isn't free. He kept saying he was almost there and was about to turn in, which I did feel badly about. I apologized several times and was trying to be very understanding and polite and let him know I was sorry, but there was nothing I could do, since my husband said he worked it out. He repeatedly told me it WAS, in fact, my responsibility since I had made the call and "contracted" and he said he dropped everything he was doing to go to this call. Isn't it the job to go to calls? I'm not sure what he would have had to suddenly drop. Anyways, I said if he was already there, he could just talk to my husband, but he continued to tell me I needed to be more courteous in the future and not call if he wasn't needed. Guys were super friendly and helpful and didn't laugh at the idiot soccer mom who locked herself out of her car. NEVER USE THIS PLACE! I locked my keys in my car on a Saturday. I called, but within 5 minutes of calling I was able to open my car. I called back to cancel immediately, so as not to inconvenience anyone. The person who answered began berating me and told me I was "being a jerk." I said, "A jerk" to be sure I'd heard correctly. "Yes, a jerk," he repeated. Then he told me his employee's uncle had died and I was responsible for taking him away from his family. When I tried to calmly reply, he yelled over me and hung up on me. I called one morning to set up an appointment to have my door and storm door fixed for 3:30 PM. At 4:30, no one had called or showed up, so I called. David, said someone was on their way. Guess what? This company is a joke. I set up a time to have my store locks changed. After 15 minutes past our appointment time, No one showed up so I started calling. No one answered the phone for over two hours. Then the owner called after I left several messages told me that he was at the hospital (a friend had died of cancer) but one of his employees was suppose to have come out. He said he would call him and see what was going on. He called back and said the employee went to the wrong plaza (but never stopped to call when he couldn't find us???) I asked Dave if there was any way he could still make it out to change the locks, as I had taken time off work to do this. Dave started yelling at me "I'm so sorry my friend died and inconvenienced you! My friend is such a rude and inconsiderate person for dying while you wanted your locks changed!" I was like, "Are you kidding me?" Because I asked you to send your employee back out to do a job??? This guy is nuts and obviously doesn't know how to separate his business and personal life. You can tell by reading the other YELP reviews this is not the only time he has flipped out on someone. This guy is not mentally stable. read more

In response to David: David, not sure where you get the idea I was using someone else's membership. I have my own membership to AAA and have been a member for 16 years. I was quoted $125 from you and then I remembered that AAA could possibly pay for the service or at least a portion of it. When calling AAA, they state they pay $100 of the fee. At that time, AAA called you and I was told after they pay $100, my balance would still be $125. I questioned that since I was told $125 by you before thinking about AAA. So you would have received a total of $225. So the use of AAA would have been no benefit if I had them use you. I asked them to check this, then I called you back to make sure there was not any misunderstanding and you very rude and starting saying I was being dishonest because I told them I lost the key and not that it broke. That was not the case, I told them upfront it was broken and it does not matter because AAA pays in either scenario. I have no idea where you get the idea I was using someone else's card. I can back up my case of having AAA membership and that the service includes loss and broken key replacement. I suggest you go to AAA's webpage and or call check out what services are covered. In my opinion, I think you got defensive and starting calling me dishonest because you were caught taking advantage of me and AAA. However, I do wish you well and I hope will learn to be more professional and try to obtain all the facts. Thanks! read more

After moving into our new home on 3/20/12 we had Affordable Locksmith key our front, side, back & garage door locks....to all use the same key. I erroneously didn't check that all locks were changed...I took the mans word that it was done. It had taken the man so long to complete the task that I just wanted him out of my house. We always enter our home using the front door or garage door opener and never realized that the side, back and garage door locks were not keyed correctly, We have recently completed exterior renovations to our home and have just found the errors. When I called David Sutton and told him that my locks were keyed incorrectly.... he screamed at me and called me a "freaking idiot for waiting so long to call him". I agree, NEVER USE THIS PLACE: this is the most unprofessional place there is. We had a set time and after an hour of waiting, I called to see what happened to the locksmith. The owner, David. answered and told me he was on his way. I asked why I was not given a courtesy call letting me know he was going to be an hour late and the owner rudely stated "I'll just cancel it. I guess you just don' understand working out in the heat." I told him that I still expected a call and that I do understand but I had been waiting for over an hour for a scheduled appointment. He started to yell and berate me so I told him that I was not going to allow that and hung up. He called me back and when I answered he still didn't like that I told him it was unprofessional that he didn't call us. He started to yell and then he hung up on me. I'm concerned about David, the owner of this company... Could it be that something has happened to him??? We just purchased a new home in Franklin, and wanted to be sure the house was rekeyed the day it was ours. So we contacted David ahead of time to discuss our situation, and actually spoke with him several times, setting up a specific appointment for 3PM on Mar 5 2013. 4 PM came, no David. I left a voicemail for him. No return call. 5 PM came, no David. My husband left a 2nd voicemail. No return call. We ended up having to sleep in the house that night, knowing that the owner had only given us one key, and not knowing who else in town had keys. Quite stressful!!! Which was precisely what we wanted to avoid, and why we worked so hard to try and coordinate this. It's now over a week later, and we STILL haven't heard from David! I'm hoping that he hasn't gotten ill or something. No matter what though, it would have been nice to get a return phone call letting us know that he had no intention of coming. We ended up using a competitor the next morning. Called them at 8 AM and they were there at 8:30 AM. Slept better that night! I'm very disappointed in David, as he sounded so nice on the phone and gave us every indication that everything would go smoothly, which of course it didn't.
