He was very nice. Charlotte helped me purchase frames and new lenses and helped set up an appointment for me to try contacts. She was totally fabulous, extremely helpful and very nice. I can't say enough how wonderful their staff is! I have been a long time customer of visionworks on barracks and think they also have great customer service but my eye dr really went above and beyond and I think I'll be coming back for my glasses in the future. I called in and was told, yes, you were over billed, I'll take care of it. I'll call you in a couple of weeks. No phone call. I waited a few weeks and in November called the office. Spoke to a different person. She assured me she would take care of it and would call me back at the end of the week. No call back. I waited a few days and called. I was told, sorry, I'll check and get back to you at the end of the week. No call back. I waited again and then called in. Now it's December. I was told it's our busiest time, I can't help you now. Call back in January. I called. I was told I would get a call back by Friday. No call back. I waited and called the following week. I called again and was told I have more than a hundred billing problems I have to take care of. (100 billing problems in a small area seems like a lot and doesn't say much for their billing system) She told me she'd send another ticket in, accounting told her they were looking into it. I was not happy about this. I'm not sure what needed looking into beyond I overpaid and was due a refund. Ok, she said, I'll see if I can get it expedited. (I don't think waiting for a refund from October to January counts as expediting.) She told me she or someone from accounting would call me back that day or the next day. No one did. I feel as though people just push the problem into the future either hoping I'll get tired of asking about it or someone else will take care of it. I don't think My Eye Doctor wants customers. Looking at other reviews all the problems seem to stem from the office staff. This is too bad as the doctors are generally good. I have been a patient here since before the practice was bought out. Things have steadily gone down hill since then. I have had some concerns in the past, but I ignored them. This, however, is a bridge too far. The most unresponsive "customer service" I have ever seen. The primary concern here seems to be selling glasses. If that's all you want to do, they're helpful. Every other concern, question gets ignored. Not acceptable. I guess from now on it will be Not My Eye Doctor.

The staff is always friendly and helpful. They make it easy to order my daughters' contact lenses and have them shipped to my house. They don't have the biggest selection of glasses but there is a good range of styles and prices: I have always founds something great. Vicki and Dr. Doug Weiss have both helped elderly members of my family and have a lot of patience! I also like supporting a local business that gives a lot back to the community, instead of a chain store.

After driving out of my way twice and being greeted with a locked door and the lights off, I finally called to set up an appointment to adjust my glasses (they are slightly crooked, it would take less than five minutes to fix), I found out the reasons I kept getting locked out: (1) if you want to see anyone for anything, you need to be there a full 20 minutes before they close, even if you're going to physically pick up glasses that are already paid for (they INSIST that this will require 20 minutes, it took me less than five when I missed work the next morning after being turned away the day before); and (2) their looney-tunes hours change EVERY WEEK. You have to call the week before you want to schedule a visit and actually ask, or get their voicemail. As a bonus, for those of us that work from 9-5:30, you might not be able to come in without missing work for 2+ weeks, because there are entire weeks where they are not open past 6. This much effort should not have to be involved for the simple, quick task of adjusting frames to fit my face better. I am a reasonable person, but after wasting over two hours of my life trying to come in during their posted hours only to find that everybody decided to leave early, I needed to warn others. Super inconvenient and unprofessional for a medical business.

I went in pain and wanted to relax. My fault for not speaking up? Maybe, but do we really still live in an age where that's appropriate? I hope it's changed. Probably has. 19 years is a long time. Nonetheless, the treatment is helpful. I just went for chiropractic care and pt, not a sermon.
