We met with Todd at the beginning to determine what we could do; Todd then put us in contact with Corinne who met with us on site and put together a really great plan. We were back and forth several times with recommendations from Corinne or questions from us and came up with a final design that is just wonderful. When the time came for the work to start, the crew (Oscar, Benito, Matt, Chris and Rafael) were at our house working by about 7:30 each morning and didn't leave at the end of the day until the work was done, often 5p or later. They cleaned up the area at the end of each day. They spoke to our neighbors when they had to use their driveway and made sure their driveway was cleaned up after the work was done. The crew was respectful, dedicated and very easy to work with. There was no loud music, loud voices or questionable language used by anyone ~ a true sign of a professional crew that cares about the projects they work on. The crew received several compliments and comments as they worked each day, and they were very appreciative that their work was being recognized by all that walked by. The landscaping compliments and completes our new home beyond our expectations. I would highly recommend Arcadia Gardens for any project you have at your home or business.

Another fine example of a contractors failure to communicate. He came out to give us a quote, took…read moremeasurements, and never called again. I spoke to my local company that recommended John for landscaping (because they asked how he did). Once I told them about the issue, they took his business card and threw it away and stated thats not the first time they have heard this. Then I was in Mattawan Landscape supply looking at their hardscape options. When I was talking to the owner he pointed over to a contractor that he says does great hardscape work. He pointed to John. I informed him that John has not returned any of my calls, even to just say the project is too big for him or he does not have time. He never answers his phone either so you are always leaving a message. I am very reasonable about timing. I can have someone start tomorrow or a few months from now. I know these guys are busy. To completely ignore a potential customer shows lack of professionalism through my eyes and brings great concern to the actual project if he struggles to communicate on the front side. Are there any landscapers out there that would like a complete landscape job or even a few filler jobs?

The crew showed up two days later and had the entire job done including excellent cleanup within 2 hours. I even had them trim up another tree and remove some hedges while they were here for a slight (and fair) upcharge. Very minimal damage to my existing yard. They were very professional and all business, I would definitely recommend them.

In…read moreJanuary this year, they took a tree out and cleaned up so well you would never know there was a tree there. They repeated that great work a few months later. However, we called on June 12th to have another tree knocked down for a client. They said they hoped to get to it by June 30th. It is now July 22nd. If my math is correct, that is over a month for a simple tree knockdown, no cleanup. After having to chase them down for the last 20 days, and them saying that they "forgot to schedule us" or would call us back (and did not), we have had to go with a different company. Understandably, there was a heat wave and storm that affected their schedule - not a problem when there is good (or any) communication. We are all about supporting local businesses, but being unreliable put us in a difficult position with our clients. TLDR: Great work if you can get them to site!
