Rude people. Incompetent vet. Horrible service. Do not bring your dog here if you live your dog.

    Landes Kennels

    (1 review)

I would like to review Landes Kennels in the format of a letter to Micah Landes…read more Dear Micah, Our family has one of your dogs: a Pembroke Welsh Corgi, from the time you were in that corgi phase of dog breeding per your Facebook page. My elderly mother and father got this dog through a corgi rescue here in Ohio. How, you ask, did the dog end up Ohio? Well.....it was when you sold the litter to Petland in Hillard, Ohio which apparently has a reputation for buying dogs from puppy mills. You see, the rescue included all the corgi's papers since birth, so therefore I have documentation of this dog's pathetic and heartbreaking life. Since you are a "responsible breeder," I thought you might like to know what became of one of your dogs. First, you sold him to a pet store. Next, he was purchased for $700.00 by a family with a daughter who has cerebral palsy and other corgis. He was with them for only a year because he kept fighting with the other dogs and bit the daughter. Now, he was turned over to the corgi rescue. He was adopted out and placed in a home with multiple corgis but only lasted there for 8 weeks because he kept attacking the other dogs. Back to the rescue again.....My elderly parents (87 and 93 years old) picked him out in 2012. He was just fine for about a week....then he began to charge after and bite our 2 rescue cats and small rescue dog....oh yeah....and my dad and myself. This dog is so very far away from being mentally stable. How do I know his history?.... from the paper trail, internet and his second owner that called and shared his sad history. Was this dog inbred??? Your dog is my parents fourth corgi over the span of 30 years. None of them ever acted this mental, anxious or territorial. By the way......when he gets upset (being told no....never a hand raised to him) he urinates and defecates in the living room...repeatedly. Prior to posting this review, I did a search of your business and came across the website nopetstorepuppies.com. Wow...... How many infractions can one breeder have????? The pictures the USDA inspector took made me sick to my stomach and heartbroken for the poor dogs in your care. This explains quite a bit regarding the corgi's mental status. How do you live with yourself or sleep at night??? Even though my parent's corgi is a basket case, he's a lucky dog. He does not have to live in the deplorable inhumane conditions your other dogs do. So, in conclusion, don't worry about your corgi that we have. This is his forever home..... regardless. See, as compassionate animal lovers, we could not bear to have him acquire more frequent flyer miles and keep being rescued over and over again. He's only 4 years old. You take care and remember.....the way we treat and value animals in our care reflects on our morals and character. Sincerely, Karen Clayton, Ohio P.S.
