I brought the owner, Becca Haggard, from That Girl Roofing to give me estimate and did some…read morecomparison shopping. She was personable and knowledgeable. Here are the issues: Price !! was ok, but i got another estimate from another roofer and his price was exactly the same but with far better dimensional shingles. Cleanup and Yard Protection !!!! Terrible. When I raised the issue given that we have plants all around our home and need to protect them and our yard, here is what she emailed me -- "When it comes to the mess, it's just part of the process. It's a mess until it's not. Nails and shingles will be everywhere! In this case even more so-with 60,000 nails with 3 layers of roofing" --Becca I investigated another property her company did through a friend who used her and the feedback i received is that lots of plant damage. They would not use her again. She simply says "it is part of the process and if you can't live with that, use someone else" OK her Competition: far superior: ***** he is putting a slide in from the roof to the street, not throwing shingles and nails in the yard, and he is also draping canvas all along the roof and over the plants in case something falls. That is huge difference!!! Net the competition offered the same price, better shingles, and meeting my customer need for getting my shingles and nails off the roof without just pitching all this heavy roof stuff over the edge and onto my grass, and plants!! I have learned two things. Lady on the roof, That girl Roofing, The Roof Girl seem to be popping up and selling based on strong woman run messaging. In this case, they have a story, images of standing on the roof on their websites with a workers belt with hammers and tools hanging off. What I have discovered is that they appear to be just marketers and using subcontractors from Mexico, Guatemalans, and Hondurans to actually do all of the work. It appears that the same crews are being used all over this area by roofing marketers. They collect a major check on each job with the illusion that their employees are doing the work. That they are on the roof with them. It appears many of the roofers are smartly using these crews. That is why I suspect that I got identical bids. The difference that am getting with the choice I made is: higher quality shingles, no mess, with a focus protecting my yard, shrubs and trees around our large two story home I would not know this unless I dug into it the details and some web searching. Thought I would share my experience for others who may benefit from my experience. I just believe there may be something helpful for you in sharing my experience. Cheers

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! THEY ARE DAMAGING YOUR ROOF!…read more This whole company are scammers! If they want to argue about it with someone who has been in the roofing and insurance business for over 10 years with my roofing business back home we can take these claims to subrogation and court and have engineers take a look at all these "wind damaged" shingles. Try me. Trust me 40-56 mph winds will not do these types of damages where your shingle is rated for 50-60 mph winds and architectural shingles rated for 75+mph winds Im from Texas and have been in the area visiting and have friends here that have told me to take a look at their roofs after these guys from American Home Tech have inspected their roofs. These guys can't even look at me in the face when I'm talking about it on the roof. One of the guys admitted to me and stated that's why he wants to become an adjuster and do right instead of wrong because of their "standards". These are man made creased back shingles!! If they are committing damages to your roof why would you trust them? These contractors are salesman at the end of the day and if theres no work of course they're going to create damage and say your roof is completely damaged because they know you won't get on the roof! Don't be such a fool! I will be buying more chalk because I didn't expect to see this. I will be posting more photos of fraud damages once I inspect what they are claiming "wind damage" on my other friend's homes. And from what I've seen they are all the same just on different roofs. It's obvious when you have a person know what they are looking at.

DGK Home Solutions to the Rescue!!…read more The Tuesday after Memorial Day (May 26, 2026) we started a residential residing project at my son's house in the Cincinnati area. We planned to remove the existing wood siding and replace with new vinyl. We had purchased all the materials needed (or so we thought) ahead of time. I live 5 hours north of my son and we had 4 weeks of time to complete the project due to my travel plans. We started demo on Tuesday May 26 and by Jun 7 had the front and sides of the house and garage siding removed and had installed siding on the face and sides of the garage. We were struggling to get the siding level from front to sides of the garage and the sides looked very wavy. At this point I realized we were not going to complete the project before I had to leave on June 22. On June 8 I put out a request for help on Yelp. That very same evening Nancy from DGK called me and discussed our project. The next day James came out to look at the project and gave us an on-the-spot estimate. I had one other company coming to look at the project and told James we would get back to him by the end of the week. June 12 (Friday) we agreed to the contract with DGK. On Monday June 15 the crew arrived early morning to start the work. They removed the old wood siding on the rear of the house and removed an old deck that we had not gotten too. They applied new OSB over the Celotex sheeting on all sides of the house and installed new house wrap. I was amazed at what they completed in a day. James explained the OSB would give a better surface to nail to and help reduce the waviness we had seen on the garage walls we sided. On Tuesday June 13, the crew installed new PVC 1x4 window trim on all windows and installed siding on the house front and back and right side. We ran short of siding so they could not finish the left side of the house. I had not calculated the amount of siding needed correctly. We ordered an additional 10 square to complete the project. Unfortunately, it took almost 10 days to receive the siding. James stayed in constant contact with us during the project, and once the siding was in the crew picked it up from the supplier and completed the installation. They had to redo the sides of the garage we completed installing new OSB and then house wrap/siding. By July 3rd the entire siding project was complete including reinstallation of the gutter downspouts and electrical meter and comms boxes. James worked with us on the pricing of the additional siding needed to install (10 square). We still need to install lights and wrap the porch posts. In the end we were very happy with the project, and I was relieved that the house was complete and weatherproof for the kids. I would recommend DGK to anyone looking for a siding project in the area.

Where do I start. My house was severely damaged due to a Contractor leaving my ridge line open…read moreduring a storm. DGK swooped in like they were saints and I used the to fix all the damage. They stated that they could have us back in my house by 18 December 2025 and if I pay 23,000 more work won't stop due to insurance. That did not happen. This issue started in July 2025 and DGK still had not finished my house when I fired them early February 2026. 7 months of them dragging my along. They would do very little work then ghost us for weeks. Ignoring text messages and phone calls. They kept saying they need more money. When asked to see invoices, purchase orders etc James Wocher told me that's not how it works. Really? I, the customer can't see where MY money is going. My final issue that set me over board was they neglected to put insulation in my roof during this record setting cold winter causing me to have Propane filled up 5 times now since December 8 2025. James stated it's not their fault and I must have a leak. I paid another contractor two months ago to check for leaks and weather my crawl space but James still won't take responsibility. Then more water damage was seen and DGK refused to send someone out to stop the leak instead stating I don't need their insurance information or license and bonding information. All required to be given to a client. After having MY insurance access the damage it was found that DGK did not install a proper ice and water barrier in the valley of my roof and since no insulation was in my attic the ice and water entered my home and destroyed more of my home. It was also identified that none of the insulation they did install is not up to code. The two vents they replaced for me in both bathrooms is also not up to code (not vented anywhere). This company is stealing money and not fixing what they were supposed to up to code. James claims the refund from the insurance for the 23,000 I paid belongs to them which is not even remotely theirs. I have not seen an invoice or anything proving they used all of the over 150,000 my insurance paid them. Do not waste money or time with this company. They also tried to instal a French door without insulating it. Really? There's plenty more to tell but I'll leave it at this. Update: James is again claiming false statements when all issues were identified by Insurance adjuster and licensed home inspector. I had to pay for the insulation myself which is over 5,000 dollars that was sent to DGK to complete. Where is my reimbursement for that. We will let the law decide who's in the wrong. All code violation are very real and the fact he chose to bash my review proves he's reaching too far on this. As for the ICE issue, we had three workers call us and threaten my family if DGK did not pay them for work done at my home. One stated they had no papers to be here is why James won't pay him then threatened to paint my house all black. I'd say I have a leg to stand on when it comes to that.
