I miss the Tea Room that once was next door, but now it is a different cafe... Outlaw Grill or something. My uncle really enjoyed his ginormous, overpriced green chile burger there recently. I haven't partaken, but back to the boutique... This place offers baby and wedding registries. Many of the items are fairly unique. The clothes, in my humble opinion, are simply overpriced and more geared to more mature ladies. ;) Definitely not my styles or fit. The staff members always have the place open! They rarely IF AT ALL close to set up for Christmas debuts like *cough cough* another place *Horsefeathers* did when I was mostly recently shopping (10/28/20). That's why they get my full 5 star love. TIPS + love their little lotions by "Camille" (tiny jar $1.50)... rare that I see my middle name on anything let alone boutique items + they have GOOD aromatherapy roll-ons ($12 each)! #ThankYouThursday

The owner was very friendly and it's very easy to consign. Definitely check this place out if your in the area. She had several Louis Vuitton, YSL, Kate Spade, Brahmin, Tory Burch, and Coach pieces to name a few. There's also men's clothing and shoes spread throughout the store.

I didn't realize this before I went in school shopping with my two young daughters. They thought it was a cute store, though. They sell blouses, dresses, skirts, dress pants, and just about everything else garment-wise in between... Also in stock is jewelry, purses, shoes, hats, and other accessories. They offer more affordable fashion jewelry, but I also saw a young man purchasing some of their more higher end fine jewelry which was tastefully displayed in a well-lit area. There is abundant, free parking in the North Vista Plaza near Music World and Miller Waldrop Furniture. Their Facebook page seems dead. They are very active on Instagram which is way more up my alley for pics: @shopcottoncastle. Check 'em out!

My first ever visit there was 1.17.2025. There was an exceedingly small section for girls sizes 8-18. The plus women's sizes engulfed half of the store. There were women's petite sizes and "regular" sizes on the other half. No one assisted my daughter when she tried a top on nor were the employees welcoming or particularly friendly. The dressing rooms were open, though. They had cute jewelry, belts, purses, shoes, tumblers, and sunglasses too. I walked away with a pair of dangling beaded LOVE earrings for $10.65, Made in India. Organized, clean store. Just disappointed in lack of size availability for me and my daughters plus the absence of high caliber customer service.

Sometimes they also sell Hobbs High Eagles shirts. This shop is also is home to other businesses: a tea and coffee bar, Unity SoBar (@unitysobar), a live screen printing t-shirt company, Ink Works (@inkworkshobbs), and a customized hat company, Sinjed (@sinjed_). The lady who runs the place is super friendly and helpful. If you need a gift wrapped, they'll take care of it for you. I recently (9/14/2022) picked out this adorable gold chain necklace with a moon sliver and a star for my mother-in-law's birthday ($48). She loved it as she has never owned anything like it. I popped in today (2/14/2024) to honestly just look around. There was ample free parking. At the register I saw some Gold Canyon candles and picked one ($29 for a 14-ouncer) up for an upcoming birthday girl. These are some of the best candles I have ever tried. Lulu is the only retailer in town that sells them & they gift-wrapped it for me! I was done Valentine's shopping long ago, but I couldn't resist a pair of heart-shaped earrings ($12). The ladies working there are extraordinarily kind and welcoming. I didn't see many bodysuits which was what I was looking for, but I'll be back. They have super cute clothes for women for all occasions. Please support this local business!

I love the ladies who work here - always willing to help me pick out the best for my liking. Back on 10/06/2023 I bought a new belt ($55.41 including tax) to wear doing cowboy work with my man in Southern Colorado. I've been wearing it at least twice per week since then -- it's great quality! My mom bought my daughters some Ariat jeans here that almost immediately got tears and holes. I am not a fan of Ariat anything, so be warned... Their Wranglers have held up much better. That's my two cents, y'all!

This store is located near the UPS store in a plaza with free parking. I found the jean shorts. Tried multiple pairs on and decided on a pair that was $42.99. Pricey I know, but I'd rather support small businesses like this one where I know I will get good service. I really loved their Fourth of July offerings including but not limited to their cowboy-inspired t-shirts. Many of their outfits could be considered business attire as they had blouses, dresses, jumpsuits, rompers, and ribbon tie pants. Their sizes range from extra small to extra large. They do offer plus sizes. They sell shoes, sunglasses, some belts (not many), bags, clutches, wallets, and jewelry. Their earrings tend to run between $10-$25. Service was friendly and helpful. Not much has changed at this smal town JCPenney since I was little…read more I found a couple of athletic hoodies for my elementary level kiddos, but just browsing through the women's section there was not anything for my taste. It was mainly geared towards older women. I know I'm supposedly "high risk" according to my OB/GYN, but dang I'm not ready to be these clothes old. The whole store from the outside to the mannequins (see my photo from 11/15/2023) is worn out. Literally! The sweate on said mannequin was falling off and had holes and tear in it! The employees and the security guard seemed nice. I'm glad the hoodies were discounted at 35% off the original price because it wouldn't be worth it to me otherwise. I'm shocked this is the Hobbs' sore, I mean, store.

It is with great concern for your business that I bring this customer complaint to your organization, as it seems that your Department Store Supervision (Denise Woods, Supervisor during my ordeal 11/22/15 6:05 PM) has no problem with showing an utter lack of concern for customer service or resolution as a tactic to ward off customer complaints. I entered the above JC Penney location maybe 15-20 minutes before closing. My wife and I continued shopping without noticing that the store had closed. My wife had about $60.00 of merchandise chosen for purchase. On two occasions I had different employees tell us in a rude manner that the store had closed (10 mins after closing). On the first occasion the employee stated, "we may not 'even' be able to pay for our purchases" (I believe hinting that we should leave the items and vacate the store). On the second occasion an employee felt the need to eavesdrop the conversation my wife and I were having about the ordeal as we walked up to the registers and felt the need to interject a reiteration of the store's closing time. Unbelieveable! I still went ahead and made the purchase but brought up my concerns. The cashiers showed very little concern for my plight, but I made the purchase anyway. The "straw" of the whole situation was that upon trying to exit the store, the doors were locked and not one of the six employees on the store floor came to help me until I asked for the manager. Well, the manager came up to the store-front with the key. I tried to bring up my concern about my treatment in the store and her response was to open the front door and reiterate the stores hours and the fact that they are posted at the front entrance. By this point I was so upset by the continued mistreatment from the staff, which included the management that I asked if I could return my items. Without blinking an eye, the manager ordered one of her employees to execute the transaction, which left me in awe of the customer service strategy I was just witnessing-save face by not caring at all. The ordeal was so upsetting to everyone that one of the employees, ironically enough, told me that if I was going to send a complaint, to inform you that they needed new computers. WOW! This situation could have been defused by a simple apology, as all I wanted was appreciation for being a customer and to be treated courteously. Instead of I got this treatment. Make of it what you will, but it will be a long time before I think about setting foot in any of your stores.
