A lot of the items in the shop are broken/taped together. however, pricing is fair. They are quick and typically you never have to wait long. I think the longest I have ever waited was about 10 minutes because I came at opening and they opened late. I hear this happens frequently so I never go at opening anymore.

I walked in to check out their services. Melanie, a very professional and friendly stylist greeted me and offered to see me same-day for a blowout. I have natural hair and have been struggling to figure out what to do with it. I sit on the fence about wearing it out naturally versus doing a blowout because I simply don't know how to style it naturally and it takes too long for me to blow out my hair. During the appointment, Melanie educated me on styling products for my hair type and style type (natural with curls out, twists, blown-out, sew-in, protective styles). As someone who is not well-versed in natural hair care, it was a breath of fresh air to learn so much in a short period of time. The wash/deep conditioning/blow-dry/styling took just a little over an hour and change--I couldn't believe it--I have never been able to do my hair in under 2 hours! I'm already scheduled for a follow-up appointment. My appointment was actually over a week ago and my hair is still soft, straight and neither feels oily nor dry. I'm excited about my next appointment and about learning how to care for my hair. I highly recommend this salon especially for anyone in the DC/PG County/Northern VA area. I have another appointment later this week since my massage therapist back home said to wait 5-7 days if you're getting a massage for a targeted area/for muscle pain, but I will definitely come here again! Another Yelper said $115/60 mins is great for Navy Yard, and while I think I could find less elsewhere, Agnes was worth it and I cant wait to go again. I felt immediate relief in my shoulder, and she even worked out knots in my lower back. She provided a full body massage (head, neck, shoulders, back, lower back, glutes, legs) and I left feeling like a new person.
