I paid Agency 850 $7000 for a website and they could not deliver anything but a landing page that looked like it was from 2004. When I first was starting my small business I knew that having a beautiful user friendly website was key in my success. I needed it to be mobile scalable and had no idea about anything. The owner of Agency 850 was recommended by a friend that goes to his church. I met with him and I was immediately drawn to his charisma and smooth talk and his knowledge of web design and SEO. I signed a contract with his company and forked over $7000 of the $10,000 he wanted to charge for business cards, a logo, advertising advice, and most importantly a functioning website. As of now, more than a year later, I have some business cards and a logo, NO CUSTOM WEBSITE! He constantly pushed me to guide him on how to create a good looking website when I have no idea how to do that. I repeatedly asked him to come up with more modern designs. His company just kept pushing the same design on me over and over again until finally I simply picked out a template from a website design site, and all of the imagery for him to use from a stock image site. I should have never had to do that, I was paying Agency 850 a lot of $$$$$ to do those things for me. Eventually I gave up on the process because of the lack of skill of the designer working on my project, and the owner's refusal to assign another designer to me. The service was way over priced considering Agency 850's lack of ability to provide what was promised to me. The process was extremely stressful for me. In the end I handed over nearly $7,000 just had to walk away with an embarrassing website that does not work on ipads or even a lot of times my iPhone. Agency 850 wanted $10,000 for their website service but I just couldn't imagine giving them one more dime considering the lack luster work they did, along with all the stress of having to basically hold their hand to create a modern website. The website they provided looked like it was from 2004 and looking at the websites they are building now it seems they are using templates and some still have "Lorem Ipsum....." where it is supposed to have text filled in. Agency 850 willingly took money without providing the service they say is so important to them. I was unhappy with the service but have not received a refund. Oh yeah and more thing, a year after I sat down with the owner I still can't get a website up and running because he still hasn't fully given me the information to release my domain name to me so I can use it on Wix to build a much needed website for my business!!!! read more
