My car was hit by one of AIC's clients while parked in the street overnight. The client sideswiped it so thoroughly as to prevent the doors from opening (driver's side) and as such it is not drivable. After two weeks of zero responses from AIC, they did finally arrange me a rental car so my one star is for that. Otherwise, it has been sitting in front of my house and now the body shop for over 20 days and we are still waiting for AIC to approve work. They never call you back. They are a horrific insurance carrier. I cannot imagine what their exit strategy is but I can't imagine a big carrier acquiring them no matter what their book of business is if all their clients and customers are treated as horribly as I am. read more

My sister is disabled. Our local insurance broker put her with AIC. My sister's husband had a stroke while driving & wrecked their only car. He was in the hospital almost a week. The AIC lady helped my sister to get a rental since she pays for that. It took a week to do that. AIC said it's not the date you get the rental, its the date of the accident for the 30 days. So now its been 1 1/2 weeks since the accident & they said she is stalling & has to return the rental this Friday which will be 2 weeks. They aren't giving her any choice in anything. They are rude, slow to get a claim going, hardly reachable & said it would take a week to get the check bt they want her to send the Title overnight. Stay away from this company. I would have left a review on Google but of course they have it so you can't. They know their service sucks thats why. read more

I would highly recommend not using this insurance company as your provided and good luck to you in someone with this insurance hits your car and is at fault for the accident. Someone that uses this insurance rear ended me at the end of May 2024 and I am still waiting for a resolution for this matter. My claims adjuster Maria is always on vacation every time I call the office. She is very late to get back to me and this matter has been going on for entirely too long. I also have no faith in speaking to a supervisor. It doesn't seem like this company cares or has any sense of urgency. I find it completely ridiculous that this issue has still not be resolved since the end of May. read more

On April 11, 2025, one of AIC's insured drivers hit my vehicle. I filed a claim with them and received a claim number and an assigned adjuster. After numerous attempts and finally calling from another number, I was able to talk with the adjuster. The adjuster asked for the police report and pictures of the damage which I emailed promptly. Despite multiple calls and emails afterwards, I have yet to receive a single response from this individual. It has been over a month, and I have no idea what stage of processing this claim is in, or if any! My car has been sitting in a garage with the doors smashed in, half hanging on by its hinges. I own a small car rental business and have dealt with many insurance providers over the years, including Progressive, GEICO, USAA, and others. I've never experienced anything like this! Typically, straightforward claims like this--especially with a police report showing clear fault, and a distracted driver citation to their insured--are resolved within a couple of weeks from start to finish. Also, along the way, you'll receive updates throughout the process informing you of what stage your claim is in. Looking at the other AIC reviews, my experience doesn't look as if I'm just dealing with a unresponsive employee, this behavior almost looks like their business model! AIC has built a reputation of ignoring claims and failing to communicate with claimants. This level of service is completely unacceptable for any insurance company. read more

Based on various reviews from around the web it looks like they don't pay claims for when their drivers are at fault for either the other person involved or for the driver that they have insured. We had a policy with AIC and they are not covering the accident (minor fender bender) because the driver was not listed on the policy. The driver was an employee / friend that was allowed to borrow a personal vehicle to complete business errands because our business vehicle was broken down. All perfectly legal but because we routinely let him borrow our personal vehicle for both business and his own personal reasons we were not covered. The letter explaining was apparently because we failed to list all members of our HOUSEHOLD. He is not and has never been a member of our household. My insurance broker even agreed that we should've been covered. Avoid all together!! read more

Terrible insurance company all around. Don't even think about getting a policy with them, and lord help you if one of their insured hit you, which was the case with me. Terrible customer service (when they bothered to answer) and it appears that their "Insurance Agents" hate their job since they had the audacity to often say "You know, I could say "Bye" then hang up on you, as one of their Agents said to me when I called asking for assistance or updates. Pretty terrible all around, and considering that I'm the first review, some might not believe me. Just mosey on over to Google, and you'll see all the terrible Google reviews they have there. And the only reason they are even two stars there is because they have a bunch of their employees (they even proudly admit it!) give them five star reviews. *rolls eyes* read more

Worst insurance company ever. Poor customer service. Dishonest representatives. If you want to be treated poorly, like dealing with dishonest agents and paying for car repairs out of pocket, then this is your company. My real review for AIC is zero stars. Horrible, horrible experience. read more

Poor, poor...POOR customer service!!!! I emailed the person who's supposed to handle my claim the police report twice and left tons of messages. NO call back!!!! NONE! And then I got a letter from them stating that they were trying to reach me but there's was no answer...BS!!! What a BS company!!!!! I finally got a hold to the person and she asks if I can call back because she's involved with another claim. Of course I agreed....what is a mistake! She didn't pick up her phone and it went to voicemail...surprise, surprise! Thank GOD that this company is not my insurance company. Pay for the claim we didn't hit your driver, your driver hit us and it is written clearly on the police report. Finally, she call us back to talk about the accident and they said that it doesn't matter if we have the police report or NOT it's not valid!!!! A POLICE REPORT STATING YOUR DRIVER IS AT FAULT IS NOT VALID. THAT EXPLAIN TO YOU WHAT A POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE THIS COMPANY IS PROVIDING. read more
