I can see why Yelpers have rated this place high. HOWEVER. Why the two stars? Because of their abysmal customer service, ESPECIALLY by a woman I am presuming is the manager. Her demeanor and her all black conservative outfit just screamed "HBIC" or "Head Bitch In Charge." Her name tag read "Mae." Her RBF ("Resting bitch face") is something serious and I am NOT exaggerating. It's even more serious when you have to interact with her. Mae, regardless of if you are or are not the manager, you should learn the value of customer service. Why would I want to go back to an establishment run by or that employs an ice queen as a host? Do what every grown adult does at a job and fake it. It won't kill you to smile and radiate a bit of warmth to patrons. This might sound crazy but it might even influence customers to come back or even better, positive word of mouth. The rest of the servers are... well. One waiter/bartender took my order, served my friend's cocktail and completely forgot about mine. I didn't see him again after so I had to call a waiter to follow up on my drink, after like 20 minutes of waiting. Two stars for the ambiance and solid brews and food. I was about to give it an extra star for the nice 20% on classic beers after 7 p.m. for Visa card holders but Mae and that waiter's idea of customer service didn't warrant the extra star. I might come back but why would I when "Yes Please" is right next door. Yes, it may be a bit pricier, food and drinks are concerned, but I'd gladly pay a little more than to be given a cold shoulder.

Draft is one of my favorite chill spots because one, they have my favorite beer on tap (Hoegaarden) and two, the food is damn good! Draft used to be the place we went to when it was time to wind down the evening. A beer or two to cap of the night. When we discovered that food was hella good here too it now has become the main event! The croquettes are my favorite thing in the world! Ham, chicken, and cheese all wrapped in delicious crunchy coating that I has burned my tongue on many occasions because I couldn't wait to have them. We visited fairly early and enjoyed the shift when the music began. However, one interaction notably dampened the experience. A brief, joking conversation with a bouncer took an unexpectedly dark turn. When I lightheartedly asked if anyone had ever tripped on the spiral staircase, he replied, "Only if I throw them off." Joking or not, for someone responsible for patron safety, this felt in poor taste and sounds like he wants to look or sound intimidating. It's a remark that unfortunately sticks with you. And it was of bad taste. Overall, Z Roof Deck has much to offer in terms of views and ambiance, but attention to staff training and customer interaction would elevate it from a good spot to a great one. 2 star from poor choice of words from the security at the roof deck.
