Who goes out on Sundays? Apparently, #titasofManila and expats do. Selection of drinks are good enough, just like in any other place that serves alcohol. Could be just the weather but wouldn't hurt if there were mist fans. Restrooms are clean. Service is at par. Friendly staff. Good to know that Security Staff are also visible, as alcohol + pool = anything can happen. Although, the foreign DJ yesterday from 7pm to 9pm, was having a hard time mixing his tracks. Either he was downing too much beers or it was his first gig and nerves were kicking in. The next DJ in line was better, thank goodness! It drizzled a bit, but that didn't ruin the night.

The Palace Pool Club. This pool is in the middle of the establishment and a door to Valkyrie is to the side.

Growing up in Florida, I was surprised to see a venue that brought Miami style clubbing to Manila. It makes sense, given how hot it is in either city. Place is bangin' on Friday and Saturday nights. Cover is expected for this level of nightclub, but if you're an expat or a Fil-Am, it'll seem so much more affordable for the quality of the experience you'll get here. Plus the cover is consumable! You never see that in Miami or Orlando. Dress code is island casual, which is super welcome considering the climate. Prepare to bump elbows with "famous" celebrities and the kids on the richer end of the Metro's youth. All in all, still solid. Probably my favorite place to go to on Fridays in Manila.

I'm not a big fan of clubbing but this place may have changed my mind. I love the idea of not having to wear heels or a fancy dress for a Friday night out with my friends. I also love the fact that I can take a dip in the pool after wearing myself out from dancing. I totally dig the vibe of the place. It brought Las Vegas to Manila. It also brought back the LABORACAY vibe (which totally died with the billions of people making it impossible to have fun in Boracay nowadays, you know it's true). My only issue is that since it's always jam-packed and it's an open venue, it tends to get really hot after a few hours. It's a bit pricey, which is expected of these venues. You could get a table/a cabana if you want something more private for you and your group - I have yet to confirm the price for either one. The pool club, is without a doubt, the newest in thing in Manila.

Don't give up on the Manila clubbing scene just yet! The Palace has opened its pool club, one that is good for some chill afternoon that can go til the night and the wee hours of the morning, with not much of a "strict" dress code (see my picture). I went with a couple of my friends on the first week it opened and I must say that I enjoyed myself there and the concept is quite cool because though there are clubhouses in Manila, they don't actually allow you to party freely and this late! One can compare it to an island vibe brought to the city as it opens at 3PM, closes at 2am on weeknights and 5am on weekends. There are two pools with benches and tables on the side -- one must order at least bottle to stay there. Then there are also airconditioned cabanas should you want something more private (and far from getting wet). I really liked the old school mix of music that turns into EDM from time to time. As in all places it's really the company that makes it worth while, so make sure you're with those who are in for some pool fun or just lounging around in the benches. I would definitely come here should I just want to tan! Make sure to bring your own towel if you don't want to pay 200 pesos for one!

Went here on a wednesday night, a friend took me here to check out the newest night spots in manila. The place is huge, big pool in the middle, lounge chairs scattered around the bar, some fake trees, feels like you're on the beach. Staff was very courteous and accommodating. Prices for the drinks were ok, we got a bottle of black label. This is spot is a really good party/rave place, alesso will be playing tonight and it's gonna be packed and crazy.

Las Vegas style clubbing is now here in Manila! This out-of-the-box style of partying is just refreshing. I have been tried of enclosed spaces with too much people dancing in a dark atmosphere. I also dislike leaving the club and smelling like cigarettes up until the following day even after a shower. The recently opened Palace Pool Club in Uptown Fort Bonifacio is something that made me excited because it was something different! Imagine a pool club with great architecture, service and music. It's all simply that. An outdoor club with two swimming pools maintained well by all the staff. During my recent experiences there, I felt comfortable and taken cared of. The al fresco pool club gives you a five star resort vibe. It makes you forget you're actually in Manila and even in one of the busiest places in Manila, Fort Bonifacio. They're open from 3pm to 12 midnight which I think is the perfect hours because the sun is still up but it's not too hot. People can enjoy swimming and dancing at the same time! I had a great time with my friends there because we also rented a cabana. It is not the typical cabana you'd think of initially. This is like having a modern and sleek air-conditioned private living room all to yourself. You get your own bathroom complete with a shower as well as a closet that contains towels. it is also a place where you can put your things for safe keeping. It exceeded our expectations off the roof! The vibe of the place was so great and it put all of us in a really great mood. The Palace Pool Club gives you just the right amount of partying.

While it isn't the highest…read morevantage point in the area, it still offers a great perspective of the neighborhood, with particularly nice views of the illuminated Rockwell buildings and the distant BGC skyline. The atmosphere is definitely a vibe--chill and social. Music starts up later in the evening (around 9 PM, I believe), which helps transition the mood as night falls. We visited fairly early and enjoyed the shift when the music began. However, one interaction notably dampened the experience. A brief, joking conversation with a bouncer took an unexpectedly dark turn. When I lightheartedly asked if anyone had ever tripped on the spiral staircase, he replied, "Only if I throw them off." Joking or not, for someone responsible for patron safety, this felt in poor taste and sounds like he wants to look or sound intimidating. It's a remark that unfortunately sticks with you. And it was of bad taste. Overall, Z Roof Deck has much to offer in terms of views and ambiance, but attention to staff training and customer interaction would elevate it from a good spot to a great one. 2 star from poor choice of words from the security at the roof deck. You want to be funny? Tell a better wholesome joke.

Interiors are beautiful and cozy. The leather chairs, central bar, and decor take you to another world where you can enjoy your classic cocktail, scotch, or wine in utter opulence. The staff are always efficient and helpful when serving and suggesting drinks if you are feeling a little adventurous. Try the Negroni 1919 or the Espresso Martini. Good selection of wines too and a decent repertoire of Single Malts (for a price!). Bar chow is available too if you feel like you need more than the refillable snacks they serve you. It's also the perfect place to have an intimate conversation or a casual meeting. Cigar smokers and smokers alike will enjoy the fact that you can smoke here (sorry non-smokers!). Price points are expensive compared to your average bars or speakeasies but you're at The Peninsula after all. The overall feel is nostalgic, classic, and definitely for those who enjoy high quality cocktails and drinks in a place that makes you feel like you're transported to a bar in Cuba with different world music playing in the background.

I don't know how I can say any of this more politely, but I am a firm believer that in an organization of such high status ladies and gentlemen should be the ones serving ladies and gentlemen. 1 - Our transaction left me feeling like my money had been deceitfully stolen by our waiter Mike. I verbatim asked if SC is gratuity/tip. Mike's answer was a confident no - so I asked for some change from a larger bill which resulted in two more bills way bigger than what customary tip should be. This left me and my girlfriend who's stomach upset by the meal in an awkward situation of really not wanting to ask for change again because of how long menial tasks took. Essentially I felt strong-armed into an what for me was an uncomfortable position. Sure I could have said something but I was brought to an uneasy place where I thought I was purchasing an upscale experience. (I only googled what SC was once I got home) 2- The pizza had a 4cm puddle of oil in the center - yuck. 3- I ordered a cocktail which was improperly made multiple times, so poorly I had to speak up. On the re-delivery it looked sloppy and tasted like what was done was the addition of water and a heavy citrus squeeze. It was a simple and classic drink that is standard for every bartender to know. I didn't ask for a mocktail or whatever made up drink that was. 4 - What upset me most was Mike sitting at our table without a reason or invitation, very close to my girlfriend. This was extremely inappropriate and left us feeling like boundaries were crossed and uncomfortable. I enjoy connecting with local staff of places while traveling, but in the proper time and place. This transaction was done very wrong. 5- Was the DJ faking it? He left for like a half hour and the playlist continued. I was half a room away and I have to say it was loud and aggressive music for the vibe of the crowd which were mostly a lively elderly bunch this particular evening. This is the first time I even wanted to leave a 1-Star review. Since I only leave 5-star reviews I will continue to do so here but with this as a warning. Rooftops are cool but there are others with better views and better service than what Mike delivers. Can someone tell him that his behavior seems to be misaligned with how the organization he represents presents their hospitality services? Dang. I didn't want to post a review while feeling upset so I slept on it. Unfortunately it was disrupted multiple times from unusual (for both my girlfriend and I) digestive issues at both ends of the tract if you know what I mean. As the great Robert Kiyosaki said 'if it's not an asset it's a liability'. This expense and experience has definitely been a liability .

As a Restobar, one should stick to the appetisers for sharing as the main entrees will not be the best value. Overall, the experience is A-Okay with your friends singing their lungs out being the really entertainment of any KTV lounge. We booked the J.Lo lounge, which had a rectangular layout that gave everyone a nice angle of the projected screen. Seats were clean and comfortable, power outlets available in both ends of the room and the remote of the Karaoke console very responsive even when pointed in different directions and locations in the room. PARKING Limited slots, which may be a problem. SERVICE Waiters were dressed in a full Halloween gear, which made our evening extra-special, generally they served our room well without too much follow-ups. Crispy Pata (590 PHP) Admittedly I consumed probably half of this deep-fried beast, but I still was left wanting more, not because it was so good, but because it was so lacking in volume, mostly bones and skin on this order. I would discourage groups from ordering this as sharing is a hassle and for the price it's rather steep for the quantity and quality. Pizzas (Starting 400 PHP) I'm not too sure what my friends ordered, but generally the dough is bread-like and crisp, but it had an under-baked feel, the toppings are fairly average. I'd skip their pizzas if possible, nothing exciting. Chicken Buffalo Bites My favourite among that was served, simple and not overly tangy. Recommended for sharing. Nachos Multi-coloured chips topped with cheese and criss-cross mayo sauce, plain and simple, nothing much to be excited about. VERDICT Drink and be merry, while singing to their large library of tunes with friends in one of the many rooms available.
