They do so many activities such as sensory activities (playing with jello), painting with hands and feet, looking at mirrors, reading books together, looking at lights and different shapes and lines, tummy time, etc! My little one is only three months old and he's already done all of these activities! And at three months he's already flipping! Not sure if all these activities triggered his early milestone or if it's because he's a pandemic baby and they're built different but he's flipping everywhere from left to right at three months and is already trying to crawl! Highly recommend this place. All staff wear masks and they sanitize the whole area everyday and wash blankets weekly. Of course swaddling is not allowed due to SID and also it goes against their licensing but my baby went from 10-30 min naps to 1 hour naps and got on a schedule which made my life a lot easier!

The caregivers here are some of the nicest and most caring people we have ever met. Our kids became very close with the staff and other kids here and we are really sad to be moving on. It's a safe, positive and caring environment. If you are considering a daycare/preschool, you will be well served at GTLC. At this point we were not moving our kid because we saw the level of care and responsiveness that the teachers were giving them. Furthermore and most of all, the management team at this school were always available and open to any concerns we had and always resolved them when we engaged them. Watching them excited to go to daycare everyday makes me so happy and allows me to go about my day peacefully, knowing they are well taken care of. The director, Miss Kelly is very involved and even teaches one of the classes herself. They have a great retention rate of all their teachers, which speaks volumes of the culture. Knowing that my children are being cared for by people who are happy to be there is a wonderful feeling. Even though they do not call themselves a Montessori school, the atmosphere i observe in the big room at pickup time is very much aligned with the Montessori philosophy, where children from different age groups work and play together on activities of their choice, with the teachers being present as "guides" whenever needed. This setup works very well, especially for children with siblings, where they can all enjoy a common play area with adult supervision. Any problems I have had have been immediately addressed by the director. Granted, they do not have all the bells and whistles such as cameras or constant daily updates that you would see at a more modern facility, but the warmth and genuine love that children receive here more than makes up for that. They even have a wonderful before and after school program and summer camp for older children, which also follows the Montessori philosophy, allowing children to choose what they would like to do (with some reasonable structure provided). 5 stars all the way for this gem in Federal Way!

The teachers are also well-versed in teaching the faith to kids. Everything is centered around faithfully teaching Christianity and the Bible, which was one of the most appealing factors to me. The childcare is also not run by a corporation, which makes it feel more personal and caring. They are friendly and I enjoy their parent-kid interactions -pie day, graduation day, tea party. It is on the pricey side. For preschooler-age, it's over $1600/mo. Sometimes it can be short staffed and they'll let you know if you need to pick up your kid earlier. They have an app and you can see what they're doing. Sometimes I get photos in the app where my kid isn't in the picture. When they are busy, sometimes I don't get any pictures which is understandable. I want them to focus on what's really important. Also the app lets parents send email and communicate to the director and teachers. I was disappointed that I wasn't able to get a conference in the school year. They were so busy with the end of year party that I had to make sure that I had everything packed before leaving. I liked that the teachers use white boards/paper. Let's do one better and have the kids take turns going up and presenting. I think they already do that for days of the week, etc. Overall, decent place. Daycare isn't easy and they try hard to improve their image. I know they have had rough reviews but not sure how truthful they are. Ms. Cynthia is great!
