I recently purchased equipment from the store, and when I needed help with an issue, the new owner redirected me to the manufacturer instead of attempting to troubleshoot or assist. His staff also gave me the runaround rather than trying to resolve the problem. I ultimately had to call someone else to fix it. If you're buying equipment here and are told it comes with warranty and support, be aware that the level of service is no longer what Tav and Frank once offered. Unfortunately, I would not trust this pool store anymore, and there are plenty of reputable pool companies in the Durham area that still value their customers.

Trusted Tuscany to install a 40'x16' fibreglass pool in 2019. 2 years later the pool cracked…read more Just had the pool removed and we are switching to a liner pool. When removed the pool we were able to see what a terrible job Tuscany did and caused the crack. Downspouts emptied into the under side of the pool, pool sat on 4 wood posts instead of on the ground, sump well did not access the underside of the pool and no drainage was put in under the pool - no weeping tiles. Tuscany tried to fault me for the crack. i don't recommend using them. They obviously are incompetent. If you had used them before I wish you good luck.

WARNING - STAY AWAY FROM BEACHCOMBER AND SEAWAY POOLS…read more UPDATE - Hush-pump replacement, which took two weeks, was a customer-service (CS) disaster. Poor coordination, non-existent proactive CS communications and general bad attitude from front-line staff. Service Technician showed up (unannounced) with no details other that to check the system. The issue was already clearly identified, part had been ordered, but tech could not get any details. Tech went to Markham Office and was told part was still pending. Tech went home, only to be called back hours later when they found the part, and was told it needed to be replaced that day. Tech did not live locally. Service Technician was clearly abused/overworked and frustrated with service management, or lack thereof. Sounds familiar. Subsequently, had to eventually drain fouled water and refill tub when temp warmed enough. Breaker immediately started tripping. Now temps -8, -9 and -13 overnight with only cold water in tub. Urgent-service date was now a week away. Told to put a heater into pump area and pour hot water in tub if freezing. Follow up with Customer Service at both Beachcomber and Seaway was indifferent. When pushed, Beachcomber continued to make excuses, but eventually offered an alternate service company. Caveat emptor. You have been warned!
