Wow, what happened today? Limited supply of tomatoes, many of the peaches on table had visible spoilage, 2 of the large potatoes I bought had brown areas under the skin. Due to: Timing of crops? Drought? YIKES . My 3 pack of cookies was not fresh, and corn didnt seem fresh picked-the big end of cob was mushy...Might as well just drive to Braymillers and no further up the road read more

I was there today on my way home from the comedy museum - I had a fruit craving- so I got fruit and veggies the place is super clean great selection of stuff I wish they were closer to lockport- friendly, helpful, and I enjoyed my spur of the moment visit- everything I bought was priced fairly and tasted yummy (well what I have eaten so far) I hope to visit there again. Their homegrown garlic has been in for a few weeks now and I stocked up today! I am a garlic fanatic. I basically consume garlic with every meal. All garlic needs to be "cured" after picking. These cloves were cured to just the right amount of tenderness. I roasted three for lunch and "Oh My!". There is just enough moisture within the clove to make the buttery garlic roastings palatable without the objectionable burn often associated with "older" cloves. Pure heaven!! I did also purchase probably the last of the sweet corn for this year, also included in my garlic lunch. Homegrown cauliflower and little grape tomatoes made for a lovely, almost autumn outing. We had a poor experience here. We went in after visiting Eden for the annual corn festival in August (check it out!). It was a small building with lots of fresh produce. Nothing organic besides the eggs. Produce was priced a bit expensive ($6 for a pint of blueberries for example). Well we had probably a good $50 worth of produce in our carts when we heard one of their employees literally scream, "Don't put that in your mouth or no one else is gonna wanna buy it!!" in a mean tone, toward a small child. At first we thought she must've known the child to speak to him that way, but as we looked around we realized it was the son of an unsuspecting customer! The dad was so shocked that the son got yelled at he didn't know what to do. Our family and theirs both agreed we wouldn't be giving them our business. The poor kid ran out of the store almost crying and we left our carts full in the store and left. We will definitely not be back. The lady could've just calmly told the dad that he had to pay for the piece of fruit, or literally any other appropriate response. But she chose to scream at a poor little kid who didn't know any better. What a loser! Don't go here. There's a bigger and better farmers market right down the street. read more
