With some extra time in Madison between my Frank Lloyd Wright tours I figured I would check out some of the local thrift stores, luckily Agrace Thrift Store was close to my motel. Located in strip of shops I found to be Agrace to be a very nice thrift store with a good selection of upscale items. The selection of clothing is a bit limited, but they were doing work to expand the shop into the store next door. Agrace did have a nice selection of decor and home goods, including some really unique vintage items. I found a nice older Mexican wood carving that was very reasonably priced and had to buy it. Agrace is a very nice thrift store with some really good items for sale, well worth a visit to see if you can find something you like. A bit upscale, but with good prices so check them out. read more

This thrift store is such a hidden gem! I stopped in recently and found a few really cute pieces at great prices. Everything was clean, organized, and easy to browse through, which made shopping such a nice experience. I love that they carry a wide range of styles and sizes, so there's something for everyone. It's also amazing knowing that the money goes toward a meaningful cause. The staff were super friendly and helpful too, which made me want to come back even more. I'll definitely be shopping here again soon, it's the perfect spot to find unique clothes while supporting something good. read more

This store has so many beautiful clothes! From JJil, Loft, Liz Claiborne, Michael Kors, Tommy Hilfiger and so much more! I got a wonderful hand made sweater from Ireland and a beautiful Martha Stewart quilt! Many items still have original price tags. They also carry glassware and pictures frames, books and home decor, Crystal dishes and vases. I often find Rae Dunn items here and so many things from Home Goods but without the Home Goods prices! I know thrifting is starting to be a trend. Whether you are new or have been doing it a longtime, check out this store! Also grab the green punch card. Really clean and had lots of items. They had a sale when we were in. The items for sale were organized nicely and the staff were friendly.

The bouncer standing by the door seemed to think it was okay to follow my teenager around the entire store..even knowing that she came in with me. Actually stood outside the fitting room while my daughter tried on shorts. We purchased a few things and she stood right by the register with her arms crossed watching us. I have never felt so uncomfortable in a store in my entire life. We will never go back there again ! Not a graceful place ! read more

One of my favorite stores with large variety of brands and sizes. I have found some pretty great pieces here including a Patagonia fleece and Madewell vest. Priced a little higher than other stores but it supports a great cause. Well organized store so it's easy to look through the different treasures! read more

This is an incredible thrift store. I've come here several times and always seem to find really cute dresses. I even found quite a few that I was able to wear as maternity dresses because they didn't have zippers and had a lot of elastic. I get SO many compliments on the clothes I get from Agrace. They have a huge selection, their prices are reasonable, and I feel that they get new clothes quite frequently as the collection of dresses seems to change every time I go in. Agrace is a really nice second-hand store, there's no doubt about it. This place is always super clean and well organized. The store's profits help the Agrace hospicecare provide services for hospice patients, and this thrift shop is staffed by volunteers. The volunteers here REALLY want you to have a good shopping experience, and because of this at times I find them to be a tad over-bearing. Similar to what you might expect from a sales counter at a high end department store. But that's just my opinion. I'm sure a lot of people appreciate this level of service. The prices err on the higher side for clothes especially, but I can forgive them that because of their non-profit status.And they do have sales on certain products every Thursday and some Saturdays. I like to take my donations here instead of goodwill or savers- it's definitely a local establishment and the money raised goes a longer way to doing great things!! read more

I'd say as thrift shops go, this one is a cut above. For one thing, there was a rockin' bebop playlist happening that had us dancing and singing in the aisles. Or one of us. Okay, it was me. But still! Everything here was clean, there was no obvious thrift store smell, and the lighting was pleasantly bright. Things were attractively displayed. Prices were great. The store is fairly small and selection isn't as extensive as at a Goodwill or St. Vinny's, but there were a lot of good buys. Bop in, Daddy-O. read more
