Agriturismo Cioccoleta is a beautiful place with majestic views in every direction. It's open, airy, comfortable, and such a refreshing stop while visiting Orvieto.
Angela, the host, was wonderful -- friendly, welcoming, and just a joy to be around. She helped with taxi arrangements, restaurant recommendations and reservations, and even let us practice our Italian with her each day.
The property itself is stunning, with grapevines, olive groves, lavender, succulents, and even two very cute cats roaming around.
Breakfast was simple and traditional -- fresh baked goods each morning, eggs made to order, hot coffee, and fruit. A perfect start to the day.
The rooms were spacious and very comfortable. Opening the windows at night kept the room cool while letting in the peaceful sounds of nature.
It's about a 10-minute drive to the center of Orvieto. Taxis were around €25 each way, so something to plan for depending on how you're getting around.
I highly recommend staying here if you're visiting the area. read more
