We sampled a lot of…read morefood on our trip and I can tell you without hesitation it was the best Italian cuisine I tasted while in Italy for a few days. We came with a group as part of a tour before heading to see the sights in Rome. It is located on a family farm, and doesn't feel touristy at all! It is actually very close to the city( within 30 minutes) but feels like you are out in the country! The building is beautiful and also has a winery just down the walkway. We started out having Italian bacon and grilled bread as an appetizer while being served pitchers of red and white wine(which were home produced). The bacon was the best I've ever tasted and a bit different in color than what we see back at home in America. While we were sampling appetizers, we watched "Mama" demonstrate making homemade pasta. The main course was mouth-watering and delicious: we were served meat lasagna and also another soft pasta in a special tomato sauce. Both were incredible but the lasagna was my personal favorite. They had leftovers and I couldn't stop eating it!Dessert followed with tiramisu and a cookie that was in the shape of a donut(tasted like a yummy sugar cookie). The staff was friendly even when extremely busy. We actually came on a holiday, so many locals were there! For a packed place, it was a great experience. I will definitely come back here if I come back to Rome.
