We were prompted greeted by Tina and shown around the spa and to our lockers. In the ladies locker room area, there are showers, a sauna, and a steam room. We got there early so we could enjoy the pool and other amenities. Unfortunately, when we arrived there were hotel guests in the pool, including children. That's not all that conducive to relaxing unfortunately so we didn't get in the water at all. Tina also helped us order a lovely lunch from Capitol Grill and took overall very good care of us while we relaxed and waited for our spa appointments. The services: Both of us had nice services but honestly both felt we had had better for various reasons. My esthetician was good and did a very nice job but I had added on a leg scrub. The leg scrub was great but it came At the sacrifice of the hand and wrist massage you might typically get. My friend's service was good but was slow to start and the provider had some clumsiness issues and dropped items on the floor creating loud noises. The only thing that was really "bad" was the temperature of the atrium area/pool and hot tub area. It was HOT in there. It was so warm in there that we just couldn't force ourselves in the hot tub or the sauna/steam room. Tips: 1. there is street parking, which is free on Sundays 2. When you walk in, go closer to the check in desk to the second set of elevators and the spa is on the 6th floor 3. There is cold water and some cold towels in the Gym on the same floor.

She told me that I should have looked on the city's website to see what the city had going on for that day and that I would have to pay since I didn't give 24 hours notice and again pointed out that she left Me a message the morning of my appointment. I pointed out that her mess wasn't 24 hours before my appointment and I should be able to reschedule. She refuses to reschedule me and charged me for my missed appointment. I thought that if I got some color beforehand, I could be full #TeamSunscreen during the entire trip. I had never gotten a spray tan before and I was nervous to do it because let's be honest, we've all seen spray tans go wrong. I read sooooo many reviews and ended up choosing this biz! Bronze2U uses "solutions that are natural and organically infused with Aloe Vera, Green Tea, Vitamins A, E & C. They're FDA certified Vegan, Gluten Free, Paraben Free, and there's NO animal testing involved." Impressive! Other (cheaper) locations use an ingredient that can make you orange, but not here. The natural ingredients also didn't break my sensitive skin out at all either. The owner Bree brings a pop-up tent and spray tan machine with her, directly to your home. She quickly sets up in a few minutes and has you strip down to whatever you feel comfortable in. She put lotion on the parts that tend to keep extra color: elbows, knees, toes, etc. She then did the whole spray tan in under five minutes. She then puts powder on you to keep it on and you're instructed to wear baggy clothes while you wait. The tan didn't wash off on anything though - I'm impressed! You can choose to get the medium tan, which is the cheaper option and has you waiting six hours before showering. There is also the quick tan option which is more expensive, but let's you shower in only an hour or two (you choose when to shower based on how dark you want it to be). I did the medium tan, waited six hours, rinsed off, and was impressed by the natural color I had. It looks so natural and glowy. Sooooo good! Bree is also is an esthetician and has a location downtown in the XG Groom Room, where she will also start doing spray tans soon too. I'll definitely be doing this again!

I felt like I could really let go all of the stress and just exhale. I booked my massage with Anthony, the co-owner of Broad Ripple Massage & Wellness. I chose him because he has experience with Thai massage, which my body really responds to. The massage with Anthony was wonderful. He incorporated some elements of Thai massage and stretching, but also lots of Swedish massage strokes and deep-tissue work which targeted some of my most tense muscles. I loved that he focused a lot on my jaw muscles and head/neck area, which just so happens to be where I carry a lot of tension. After my massage, I was fully relaxed and dazed, as one should be after a great massage. Afterward, Anthony told me that I also carry a lot of tension in my chest, and gave me some tips on how to stretch those muscles by stretching out my shoulders and arms. I love walking away with more knowledge on how to take care of myself! Broad Ripple Massage offers massages, but they also offer float therapy, which is a type of sensory deprivation that places you in a room with a shallow pool of salt water that makes you buoyant. And you float, in the dark and without sound, and eventually you fall asleep and your muscles and mind relax. I have never tried float therapy, but I think I am going to take the plunge (so to speak) soon, and my first time will definitely be at Broad Ripple Massage, because they have a nice setup. Broad Ripple Massage is located just off Broad Ripple Avenue, behind the Ascension St. Vincent medical offices.
