April 11, Montmartre Pastry and Chocolate Food Tour, Paris…read more Our family of four with a son 9 and daughter 10 did a pastry and chocolate tour through Montmartre and it ended up being a really fun way to explore the area. Arrival and First Impressions The group was small, just our family and another family, which worked out well. The shops we visited were tiny so taking turns going in and out was part of the experience. Our guide was knowledgeable and walked us through side streets, small parks, and local spots we would never have found on our own. The Highlights We stopped at six different locations including chocolatiers, bakeries, and pastry shops. Highlights included a choux pastry, crepes, madeleines, artisan eclairs, and multiple chocolate tastings. The final stop for hot chocolate and macarons was excellent. The macarons were so good we ended up buying some to bring home. The tour was not just about food. We saw the Love Wall, hidden streets, and learned about the history of Montmartre including small details about the neighborhood that made it feel more personal. The Challenges The guide did not have a very loud voice so in a bigger group it might have been harder to follow, but with our small group it worked fine. Would We Return Yes, especially to try a different tour. It was a great mix of food and exploring. Final Thoughts This tour is a great way to experience Montmartre beyond just walking around. The combination of food, history, and hidden locations made it a memorable and worthwhile experience.

Their ticket purchasing process is misleading and unethical. You go about filling our information,…read morelike you do for many websites, but unlike any other website, you hit the "Next" button (for the third time) and suddenly you have purchased the ticket, without any opportunity to review your tour date, number of participants or even credit card info. All the previous "Next" buttons led to the next step in the process, as is implied by the word and as you would expect, but not this one - it is the final confirmation of purchase even though there is NO indication that this is about to happen. Then they tell you that there are no refunds under any circumstances and that the credit and ticketing laws do not apply to them. Perhaps this is because they are based in Cyprus, which I assume they have chosen precisely to evade regulations. Note that they say there are no refunds no matter what - even if your overall trip gets cancelled or the tour gets cancelled or the guide does not show up. Be very careful, or better yet, avoid these folks and do any of the other more legitimate tours out there for wherever you are travelling to.

We heard a lot of compliments from other tourists who enjoyed him, but beware, if your child is NOT a good bicyclist, or well practiced in bicycling, please do not subject other tourists to them-we heard a couple of horror stories of other bicycle tours where this was the case.) This bicycle tour was fantastic! The guide was knowledgeable and the locations were spot-on. Highly recommend if you (like us) only have a few days in Paris, as you can see so much on this tour! The sunset boat tour was absolutely stunning as we boated past the lit up Eiffel Tower, but my highlight was riding around the Louvre (also at sunset). Stunning tour was definitely a highlight!

Francois was our tour guide. He was wonderful! He showed us a GRAND time around Paris. We only had 3 days in Paris and the scooter tour gave us a taste of all the beautiful landmarks. We love Francois so much we decided to tour the next 2 days with him by foot. He was able to take us to all the places we wanted to go to and more!! He took us to the best ice cream place in Paris! You can bank on that. He was very knowledgeable, kind and patience. He has great photography skill so you're guaranteed to have great photos in Paris. He's also a foodie so he'll show you all the best places to eat in Paris, like a local. He saved us so much time and trouble. You will not regret your time with him. For something different on our short stay in Paris, we decided to go a bit off the beaten path and…read morecheck out a cruise on the Canal St Martin. We've been on the classic Seine tour before, but this is a big cut above. Starting off on the canal in the 10th ar., a spot in Paris that's a bit less polished and touristy, you board the double decker boat (inside or outside seating) about 20-30 min prior. You go through 3 different locks (of 9 total on the canal) on what was the food highway for Paris back in the day-over 27 meters lower by the time you reach the Seine. Shortly after lock 2, the canal goes underground! For 2KM! And you eventually pass directl beneath the 50 M tall obelisk of the place de Bastille. The bi-lingual guide, Thomas, narrated along the entire 2-hour route. Once you exit the canal, you travel down the seine past the Statue of Liberty and finish back at the Pont Neuf bridge. So much better than the other swine cruises and we were lucky to have only about 35 people on board so plenty of room to get Pix.

A little hard booking and finding, but worth it!…read more I found this river tour/cruise from a recommendation from some travel bloggers. They mentioned a few things that made me want to book. It's a little messy with the booking and the website but no issues. I recommend you book ahead just to be safe. We added the champagne and the charcuterie board. Day of the tour, it is a little tough finding it. The confirmation email and voucher have the two locations of the other cruises but not the actual one you will be on! I had to read reviews to know that you don't meet at either. You meet at Pont Neuf. On a map it shows as Quai de l'Horloge, Paris, France. Just a handy FYI as we almost missed our ship. Once on, it's not the nicest but it certainly isn't bad. The guide was good and the views amazing. We were able to see the the Eiffel Tower sparkle and did a nice loop on the river. It was beautiful! I would do again but there are nicer tours. If you don't want to spend a fortune, this one is just fine!

We got there early enough to have lunch and walk around a bit. At 2:30 we went over to the statue and sat on a bench to enjoy the sights and wait for our tour. at 3:20, no one had showed up with tickets. We called the tour provider and they said they had notified Viator that this specific tour was oversold and that we were moved to the 3:00 tour. NO ONE ever told us. ON top of that, we were at the location at 2:45 (the time they said we needed to get the tickets at the statue) and NO ONE was there. We called Viator and they said we were considered "late" and they could not refund us, despite the fact that we were way early. at 3:37 pm, we received an email from Viator saying that our tour had changed to 3:00 pm and we needed to be at the statue at 2:45. nearly an HOUR after the time we were supposed to be there, they notified us. However, we WERE there. Viator still claims they cannot refund our tickets. I'll add, the email they sent us had a 3:00pm timed ticket to enter Notre Dame on our own, but we received it 37 minutes too late. This was a once in a lifetime trip, and to miss such a highlight as Notre Dame, after we've taken so much time to plan ahead, and pay nearly $200 for this unique experience.
