What with a conspicuously designed name printed on its glass window and right above the entrance. Finding a seat is also not a problem as the dining area is huge and there are plenty of tables and chairs. I liked Wingstop even before I tasted their food. The reason: Their food choices are few. You'll not be overwhelmed by different options or types of food. Their menu revolves around chicken wings. Since their Makati branch is fairly new, I imagined that customers would take a long time to decide what to order. But it didn't take long for the people ahead of me to finish their transactions at the counter. It could be that everyone had already tried Wingstop and knew what to eat or it could be that 7:00pm is not a good time to eat wings (are you kidding me?). Since I was on my way home, I decided to have my orders in a takeaway bag. I simply wanted to sample their wings so I got a 7-piece order of wings with two flavors - Garlic Parmesan and Louisiana Rub. Both taste great but I liked the Louisiana Rub better because of its sweet and mild spicy flavor.

This could get as late as midnight. The place is open until 2 am, and by this time the horrible parking situation at the City Golf Compound would already be more manageable. (Of course, provided it's a not a weekend.) I always get the Classic Buffalo (spicy) with blue cheese dip, and ask for more blue cheese dips. (They charge extra). I like the chicken because of the way the skin has been cooked to a crisp, all the while keeping the meat rather tender; I think it's breaded. The sauce is spicy yet with just the right bite, meaning there is a dimension to the flavor and not just plain crazy-fiery. Like, I can still taste the butter and the vinegar all coming nicely together with the one-two punch of the hot sauce. Oh-yeah! The best part is you don't even have to worry about getting your hands dirty because they give away disposable gloves. We got the pecho (chicken breast) and garlic rice, and I have to say, it definitely was good. Hot off the charcoal grill, it tasted best when you add the chicken oil to the rice. Chicken was juicy and was the best I had in Manila (I did try other inasal places before I made that final decision) They give you a box of gloves if you want to eat with your hands but will also give you utensils. Overall, it was a great meal that I did come back a week later at 1130 am, it was still packed but got a table that was open so no wait. Never had chicken from Bacolod but this definitely was better than Mang Inasal and Bacolod chicken.

Chicken Chicken doesn't give you a lot of options on their menu but they sure make up for it for with the quality and quantity of each serving. Believe it or not, they serve 4 pieces of chicken for every order. That'll already last you until dinner! Aside from the chicken, another bestseller is their Liempo. Don't forget to dip it in their signature sauce! For all meals, you can choose to have plain rice or order the garlic rice which I love. Last tip: the owner manages the restaurant herself. We tried their Garlic Parmesan and Hickory Barbeque since both of us are not fans of spicy wings. The size of their wings is average, I've had other wings bigger than the one from WingMan though their flavor was pretty impressive. Aside from Chicken Wings, they also have healthy meals such as salads in their menu and also offers a wide selection of burgers. My boyfriend tried their Cowboy Burger, which was their Texas-inspired sandwich with BBQ sauce, bacon and caramelized onions with fries to go with. I got to take a bite out of this burger and found it especially good! I've always been a fan of anything with BBQ on it so I was happy to find that theirs measured up to my BBQ standards. They also have local and imported beers that perfectly complement your chicken wings. They also have cocktails for the ladies. One drawback of this place is that it's quite small (around 40 people can fit in) and parking is a big issue.
