What an absolute disaster. I placed my order midweek last week to a funeral home, prior to the…read morefuneral. The funeral was on Saturday. I was called by 1-800 Flowers today, Monday, to be told that the order hadn't been delivered "due to illness". If you weren't able to fulfill the order, I should have been informed way before today, so that I could have made arrangements to have something else to deliver to the funeral home. Illness is fine and certainly understood, however leaving your customers hanging and having them find out from states away that their flowers weren't delivered to a loved ones funeral is unacceptable as a florist. You should be sensitive to the fact that people that are ordering flowers, especially for a funeral, are often experiencing the loss of a loved one and the fact that this was handled in such a terrible manner makes me know that I would absolutely never utilize your services again. I have canceled with 1-800 flowers, and as I know that you were their local vendor, I will never place an order from you personally as well.

I couldn't get past the FTD 800 number crap by which the actual florist remains anonymous, and the caller is at their mercy. Even the funeral home would give me only the damned FTD 800 number instead of a real phone number (a local number where you can talk to a real human being.) After much difficulty I finally got Maggard's phone number (606-439-3101) --- So I called them on their local phone line and a nice lady answered. They got the flowers to the visitation, and they were BEAUTIFUL !

She would not refund the $400 she charged to take wilted flowers of a different color that were destine for their own graveyard to sparsely create a spray that covered half the coffin.
