Kat and I…read morehad numerous discussions about my vision and she even met with me at our first look spot to fully embrace what I wanted captured! Communication was easy whether it was through email that included a bunch of questions or a simple text message asking for feedback or an opinion. As soon as we solidified that we would be using Kat's services I was able to share my pinterest board with her and she continued to check in on what ideas I continued to pin. On the day of our wedding she pulled out a binder full of all the photos I had pinned. I loved that she was always on top of it! I booked Kat with two other photographers for around 8 hours of service. Within my package it also included an extra mini photo shoot. I asked Kat to do a secret boudoir shoot with me and although not part of her normal requests she accepted with ease! She made me feel so comfortable during that shoot and created a small album I was able to gift to my husband on the morning of our wedding! It was incredibly special and made me feel confident and sexy to gift to my husband! On the day of the wedding, all three photographers showed up on time and began shooting in the hotel rooms, capturing the little details of my jewelry and personalized champagne flutes. They captured candid moments between my bridesmaids and I and especially with my mom. My mom is such a strong woman and when she gets emotional it is usually a big deal. Kat and her team did not miss a beat and captured those moments for me to look back on! Throughout the day of our wedding, Kat's team was with us every step making each moment continuously special. They froze on the rocks at Lighthouse Point Beach so my husband and I could capture a unique first look experience. We all may have been cold, but I will NEVER forget the memories of all of us laughing together pushing through the chills (and tears!). During some group shots on the carousel they laughed with us during an injury that happened to one of the horses feet! Complete accident, but made for a story to tell in the long run. The ceremony was captured in just the way I asked including accommodating the hard shot of being behind my mom, step father and I to get the shot before we walked out. The reception photos were endless of our guests and my husband and I interacting with family and friends. They captured such FUN memories and even a romantic moment of my husband and I embraced in the love of the day slow dancing with everyone else on the dance floor. Not to mention there may have been a lift or two throughout some of the song choices! By the end of the night I asked what Kat and her team what they were still doing there and they said they were having so much fun! It truly made my night! To this day, Kat still answers my texts and will send any requests I may have whether it's a photo turned from black and white back to color or just simply a quick edit. Thank you SO much for everything and making our greatest day of our lives that much more special!

My friend selected her, and she did such an amazing job that I knew I just had to have Lindsay shoot my own wedding. After getting engaged last year, my fiance and I did an engagement session with her in Elizabeth Park and she nailed it. We loved the pictures so much that we ended up using one of them for our invites. When we decided to have a destination wedding, I was afraid it would be difficult and expensive to get her to come down to Key West, but Lindsay worked with our timeline and our budget to give us exactly what we wanted. I expected Lindsay to be her lovely self, but I was surprised at just how many compliments we got from our friends and family about her warm personality and easygoing nature. Any good photographer is able to put their subjects at ease, but part of Lindsay's charm is that instead of merely blending in to the background, she exudes a relaxed and positive energy that draws out your best qualities. Looking back, I can't imagine having anyone but Lindsay taking photos on our wedding day. I knew I could trust her to take stunning photographs, but what I didn't anticipate was that I would be tearing up over them less than 36 hours after my wedding!!! It was such a great surprise to see some of the photos posted so soon, and the expressions she captured brought all the excitement and emotions of the day flooding back. Grabbed her business information and keeping a long story short we finally booked a day to shoot and created a work of art. Amber is great to work with and goes above and beyond expectations! Her studio has great second floor natural lighting on top of her equipment she uses. She was in the middle of refurbishing the other half of her upstairs and the after photos she posted on her Instagram look great for your future shoot. Although she specializes in boudoir shoots she is looking to expand her portfolio so be sure to reach out and set up a shoot with her!

From the start, Zach and Ava met with us several times to talk through what we wanted captured and to review the timeline. They were always easy to reach by phone or text and quickly to reply if we had questions. We had a unique venue and worried a bit about how it would look in photos. It was not a problem at all. Even though Zach and Ava had never shot there before, they were comfortable and creative, and the photos came out beautifully. On the wedding day, Zach and Ava were more than photographers. When another vendor asked us to change timing, they stepped in to make sure we were comfortable before making any adjustments. They kept the day on track and made it feel like we had someone by our side the whole time, even without a coordinator. Neither my husband nor I are people who spend much time in front of a camera. We told them that upfront, and they made the process so easy. They gave us direction when we needed it and also captured plenty of natural candids. The mix gave us a set of photos that feel real and timeless. Our only small critique is that a few of the posed family photos after the ceremony could have been arranged a little more neatly. That part of the day is always hectic, and while the photos are still special, we would have liked them a bit more formal. This was a very minor detail compared to everything else though. Working with Zach and Ava was a wonderful experience from beginning to end. We are so grateful for the photos they created and would recommend Rooted in Love Photography to anyone!
