He not only checked into possible discounts, he recommended a number of security features and treated us like our business really mattered. He spent the time with us we needed, made sure my daughter had a good fit for the new bike and expertly assembled it with attention to detail we all really appreciated. The sales associate on site assisted my son with selection and sizing. They left the store with a pair of shoes that according to the staff fit perfectly with room to grow. He wore them to his next practice and at the end of practice he came off frustrated, the shoes were huge and he couldn't play in them !! I sent an e-mail to the owner thru their website and have not had any response. My father drove all the way down to Toronto to pick up the shoes to return them. When he went to the store a refund was refused because my son had worn them and his staff had asked my son if they had fit. So out $115.00 and still in need of turf shoes. Called and asked some questions regarding bmx parts while visiting Peterborough, was given certain…read moreanswers that turned out not to be correct, bad attitude from certain employees due to their opinions about people who you ride with, very rude and technically hate speech comments being made when staff thinking think people could over hear. Refusal to use spokes of customers desired brands, incorrect answers to parts compatibility and numerous other issues. It's almost like they hired all the local bmx riders who know nothing and don't care at all unless its exactly what they like and are interested in. Among other issues. I wouldn't buy a bike here at all. Not even mtb side but I'd certainly avoid it bmx wise. Also know of them seeking staff and refusing locals who are knowledgeable in the industry and involved with brands and owners due to looks and supposedly looking like the f bomb used as a derogatory term to certain groups. Among other inappropriate and unprofessional issues. As well as blatant importer repaired on purpose or purposeful lack of proper repairs and maintenance jobs to my friends bikes. I'm out the cost of a set of cranks and sprocket. Or a titanium spindle and set of spindle bolts. And one of my friends is out the equivalent of hundreds of dollars on wheel work on one set of wheels. Let alone the effort or having to get a manufacturer to solve an issue caused by this shop. Refused to process warranty. Distro requires the shop to handle warranty. Told to reach out himself and ignored. Then told my the Distro they can't process anything unless the shop submits the warranty claim. I've worked in numerous shops including globally recognized shops. Very unprofessional. Stop selling bikes if you want to act like a big box store. Or act like a proper retailer if you want to sell bikes. And cut it with the hate speech bs. And get a hold of your employees. Racism and numerous other inappropriate comments were heard. If it wouldn't have wasted more of my time in a crap store I'd have reported it.

We came at the end of the day on the New Year's eve and I forgot my purse when I was leaving. I only realized when I was on my way home when they called my husband's cell from my cell phone. Although the store was already closed, they waited for us to come back and pickup the purse. So very grateful. Awesome-awesome people!

The Big K needed a hockey stick which would, unbeknownst to me, require a lot of cash and plenty of…read moretime to research things like flex and feel. Ho hum. Not my idea of shopping. So the Big K headed in first while I went to Dollarama nearby to waste some time. How long could buying a hockey stick take? I finally had to enter National Sports to investigate the Big K's disappearance and within record time I was greeted by a very friendly salesperson who not only found The Big K for me, but three perfectly wonderful, very expensive hockey sticks that could significantly improve The Big K's game (and in sum total cost more than my dishwasher.) After much careful consideration, The Big K finally settled on "just one" (thank goodness) from this neatly organized and well-stocked store. I rushed the Big K with stick in hand to the check-out (in an effort to prevent him from buying anything else.) Even the cashier was super-charming and personable and made paying the large bill less painful. Final words: bring lots of cash. This store is conducive to shopping.
