No empathy from this staff person, in contrast, rather indifferent to my concern. I maintain that the rate of increase is excessive and for this reason I would NOT recommend Cube Smart. The salesman over the phone took down a record of everything we were moving including diminsions, and then grossly underestimated the area and quoted me a much lower price than what it ended up being at pick-up. The movers jacked up the price once they had loaded the truck saying the area was twice what we had told them. By this time, they had all of our property on their truck, so we paid it. But on arrival, the moving truck used was not the same truck that they had used to pick up our possessions. They had moved everything off the first truck and conveniently loaded a second truck much more efficiently. Total rip-off. Not surprised everyone has given them one-star. They don't even deserve that. I'd be surprised if they are still in business.

My $2500 kayak hull was stolen from the kayak rack. The storage facility only keeps 2 weeks of…read moresurveillance footage so there was no record of the theft when I discovered it was missing. This IS NOT a safe place to keep a kayak. It appears that the thieves pulled up on the back road and pushed down the barbed wire, climbed over the fence, broke the lock that was securing the kayak with a cable and stole it. The contract with the storage facility states that they "cannot" be held responsible for any theft. Having only two weeks surveillance records is terrible in my opinion. No one rents space in a storage place and comes to check on there stuff within a two week period. This is a VERY UNSAFE place to store a kayak. Additionally, the "one" surveillance camera over looking the kayaks is in a terrible place, one kayak rack full of kayaks totally blocks the view of the one I had my kayak on. Even if they had gotten footage of the theft, there's now way the video would have revealed any decent recordings of the theft. The management is good, people are very nice, but I'll never have a kayak there ever again.
