I'm unique in that Dr. Deb Holubec has treated me (15 years ago) and my daughter (the last three…read moreyears). I didn't see much benefit from her treatments as the epidural steroid injections didn't have a positive effect. My daughter, however, has several chronic illnesses and has had more extensive procedures at RPC. Dr. Deb did the WRONG SIDE of her back the last time she had a rhizotomy. She woke up in excruciating pain after the procedure on the healthy side of her back. After realizing her mistake, Dr. Deb put her back under to do a few areas on the correct side, but she couldn't completely do it because "It would be too much" for my daughter. Fast forward a couple of years later, my daughter is now 17 and leaving for college in a month. She hoped to get the procedure done again because her pain had returned. If you have chronic pain/illnesses, then you know how challenging the entire physician process is - and the reason we were willing to try her again. I call to make an appointment, but they insist on a referral. I explain our insurance doesn't require it and am told, "It's an office policy." So... despite the urgency, I get in quickly with our orthopedic doc; he rolls his eyes at the policy/requirement but sends the referral over. I follow up with Dr. Deb's office to make the appointment, and this NIGHTMARE of an office admin, Dorothy (?), tells me they won't see Ashlyn if we don't show Ashlyn's insurance card. She's a minor and doesn't have an insurance card. We've always used mine or my husband's. Besides, we've never been asked for this - not once. Not at MAYO CLINIC or any of the 100s of appointments I've taken my daughter to in the last five years. I ask her to work with us because we're in this time crunch, and the best she's willing to do is put my daughter "down as self-pay." I tell her we're not self-pay, we have valid insurance. No one has ever demanded this before. Then this NIGHTMARE tells me to go to a military base and get a card; otherwise, it will be self-pay. She argues with everything I say, even about Ashlyn getting the procedure we seek. She rudely talks over me and everything I try to say. She refuses to let me talk to someone else in the office. Finally, I tell her I want to speak to Dr. Deb, and she says, and I quote, "Dr. Deb is not going to speak to you unless you have an appointment." I tell her to remind Dr. Deb that my daughter's back is the one she screwed up and performed on the wrong side and to call me (wondering now if she even knows who that is or how often this happens.) Still waiting for my call. I've dealt with difficult people, but this office admin is a straight-up B, and no one should have to deal with her when seeking care for themselves or a family member. She's in the wrong field. From other reviews (check Google, too), she is a long-standing, known problem, and the physicians here simply don't care. Poorly done Regional Pain "Care" Center.

If I am having a problem or question, I text him and he calls me within minutes! If you need COVID support, please reach out to Dr. Holubec!

Take their online assessment (on their website) and take control of your back pain!…read more I spent almost a year suffering with lower back pain, worried that the only option suggested would be surgery. My pain was interfering with my sleep, work, and all the things I used to enjoy. So, I finally decided to search for a solution. That's when I found Spine Team Texas. Reading through their reviews and information on their website, I saw that they approach back pain with modern solutions--no old school remedies here! The building is new, patient rooms are clean, state of the art equipment (surgery center is in the same building), very transparent about what insurance will pay for, friendly staff and passionate doctors. It's been an incredible experience thus far. TIP: fill out the online assessment; it's like a matchmaking service for your spine, pairing you with the doctor best suited to diagnose you. I was paired with Dr. Sanders, who quickly and accurately evaluated me and suggested deep cortisone shots--an outpatient procedure. Now, I'm thrilled to report I'm nearly pain-free from the procedure alone, and after a few weeks of physical therapy, I should remain pain free. If not, I'm confident whatever Dr. Sanders does next will be another step towards solving my issues -- I trust him. I'm ready to get my life back, and wishing I'd started this journey much sooner. If your on the fence, I highly recommend you start here...

Today my pharmacy is calling to get these meds filled because 3 days ago she said she would. Wonder what would happen if Dr. Brock delayed her paycheck just because. Thats how I feel. After I finally had a phone call I learned there was a family emergency for the doctor. I get that and understand the doctors needs to be there. Yet that lady I asked about my meds and told me she would get back to me dropped the ball not finding anyone else to get me meds sent in and gave me excuses. She did nothing about it on Tuesday. Dr. Miller has a very easy going and gentle personality..., which is intangibly important to me and my wife! My initial reason for seeing him was due to my left shoulder causing me pain. Ironically, I had a skiing accident that resulted in a tear of my MCL just prior to seeing Dr. Miller initially. After an MRI, he treated the MCL tear and shoulder pain with PT initially and didn't rush me into making a surgical decision. In addition, he gave me a cortisone shot for the shoulder which released the pain. The MCL healed nicely without any further procedure being required; however after 6 months the shoulder did get worse due to a separate but freak accident, so we decided that surgery was the only option that would relieve the pain permanently. This was the best decision, because the arthroscopic procedure revealed a massive tear of the supraspinatus which required 6 anchors instead of the normal 4 to reattach it properly. The entire experience has been outstanding and thankfully, the pain has been minimal. You can probably tell I really think the world of Dr. Miller and would recommend him to anyone who needs orthopedic care mostly because of his extensive experience and thorough approach.
