Scheduling and communication are two of the biggest negative changes - not sure why, actually, just based on recent experience with a surgeon's medical assistant and surgery scheduler. Our experience included not receiving return phone calls when promised, not honoring commitments to appointments as discussed, and these are things that we as patients can evaluate - as opposed to how great the surgery was.

I just popped in on the spur of the moment, and Emily at the front desk went back to see if she could get my x-rays. It was late in the day so the staff was already gone , but without being asked, Emily had them copied the next morning and called me saying I could pick them up anytime. I just wanted to say that she went above and beyond to provide me with help when I just popped in. I love the staff here, as well as the doctors. However their office will blow up your phone with text and calls constantly about paperwork, and confirming. etc. They even text you at 7:00 a.m about things. It's a lot! Furthermore if you need MRI"s or treatment they only do it at Baylor Scott & White in Arlington on Highland. I will never go there again if that is the only place the doctors at Arlington Orthopedics can send patients to. If I thought that Arlington Orthopedics was bad about blowing up up your phone, Baylor is a thousand times worse especially when it comes to getting their money before your procedure! I received multiple calls and text from multiple people there daily wanting their money. We were waiting for our insurance to process claims from another procedure somewhere else where our deductible could be seen by Baylor. Still the day before my procedure they sent another text saying they have to have my payment tomorrow in all caps! What business does this? Even on the day of we had to sit in the business office and hash all this over again and again which made things very stressful before having a procedure. Lastly out of 2 visits there, I have only encountered one nice person. No one there cares about anything except getting your money. My advice is to think long and hard about Arlington Orthopedics if you think you may need an actual procedure and then you better have your money ready and your ducks in a row. Baylor Scott & White is very aggressive in getting their money. That's all that matters to them.

Unfortunately, my boy broke a bone... but he was X-rayed and casted at the same visit. We were in and out in 2.5 hours. We were seen by Dr Garff and casted by Jacob. The staff was beyond professional and friendly. You can tell they deal with kids because they were comfortable with the banter between me and my 17 yr old. It's a shock to find out you have broken a bone. They took care and time in explaining what they were doing and why to him. They allowed him to ask questions and they were not phased at the silliest questions. I highly recommend!!!

Front desk was always welcoming when we came to visit and left. My mom's road to recovery was a positive experience here with the quality of care from all of the staff - literally every single staff member she came in contact with up until the day she was discharged. They really worked with her and were there for her at every corner and I appreciated that more than anything - especially the days we couldn't be there.

My mom spent weeks there and just got worse. Her memory was bad and was very weak that she could…read morehardly get out of bed and needed 1 to 2 people to assist. I saw her at group physical therapy and the patients would just stare at her while my mom's mind was elsewhere. It broke my heart. She said the therapy was loud and it stressed her out, but he had to be because some people don't hear good, but it was loud and it echoed in the room. My mom is wheelchair bound and they told Medicare that she had walked so many feet which was enough to be discharged. They discharged her with a wound and UTI to Arbrook Plaza for nursing home care. Arbrook Plaza did not give up on my mom. Instead of nursing home they put her in the rehab side of it first and 6 weeks later instead of nursing home she got to come home with no UTI, no wound and her memory and strength is back to where she can transfer herself in and out of wheelchair to her bed or restroom and dress herself. I'm glad Encompass gave up on my mom or else she wouldn't have gone to Arbrook Plaza. Yes Arbrook Plaza is an old building but the quality is great.

First, the facility itself. Everything was clean and well maintained. The rehab equipment was all first class. While the food was not exactly 5 star quality, I had no complaints whatsoever. I would say that I enjoyed 99% of everything they served. There was nothing wrong with the other 1%; it just didn't please my palate. I have a good appetite, and I was satisfied with the portion sizes. Unlike other hospitals, the meals were virtually all served on time. Now, the staff. Every therapist I worked with was outstanding. These included Sarah, Dennis, Miguel, Rudy, Edwin, and Carmine. As far as the care, the vast majority were great. I missed a few of their names, but the standouts were Caroline, Karen, Chenemun (?), and Olaniyi. A few of the night staff left a bit to be desired, but the rest of the staff were outstanding. The physicians were all caring and attentive. You won't go wrong if you choose this facility for your rehab.

She passed away 2 weeks after her stay so I was busy with arrangements and grief. I called Texas Rehab 3 weeks after her death and they told me my refund would take a while to process which I understood. It has now been 5 months and I have not gotten my refund of over $11,000 and all the people I was working with have left the company. No one seems to know anything about anything. If you decided to stay at this facility make sure about the payment arrangements before agreeing.

When you are in pain and needing help, the worst thing is having a provider that is fleecing you at every opportunity for their profit. It is shameful and especially when you end up spending more to heal because they were ineffective with their services. No one charges 500.00 for a basic TENS unit. Well, no one but them.

They are so slow that it has impacted my insurance payments and I have stopped several times for promised paperwork only to waste my gas. Some are pleasant, others are just rude. The doctor, when you see him for you 15 mnutes in very pleasant. I think they are either understaffed or poorly trained. Either way its not good for patients.
