Dr. Willett gets me back into my tennis game every time! Three visits with exercises in between always helps me get rid of pain.

The injections for my back pain were very effective. However, when it came to needing medicine for my foot, I was suddenly ejected from the practice. I got a call stating that I was being ejected due to being on meth amphetamines. I take adderall. I told them that from the jump. Now I'm not dead set on getting pain medicine. The office staff calling me to tell me continually talked over me telling me that she would not argue with me when I understandably had questions about this. They were rude, condescending, and spoke to me like I was a drug seeker. So I would not go to this pain clinic if you take any other controlled from another prescriber.

I was in so much pain, I could not even move my body, I had to stay in the same position for MONTHS. I spent a fortune on home health care, I had to be fed, I could not stand in the shower without terrible pain, I had to have someone wipe my ass after I struggled with help to the bathroom. I could not even walk with a walker. Getting back into a pain free position was terrible and I could not help but scream every time. After 5 epidurals I heard my tech apologizing to a woman in an office because I needed a surgeon. Almost 3 years and I am still pain free. Dont go to this place, they are only out for the money.

What made me go here was the amount of money it took to get an Xray and professional evaluation. As a self paying patient it is $250 to be seen. With that said, make sure you look at your bill so that they dont overcharge you when you get an invoice in the mail. They did that to me twice now. I did make sure they corrected it. What they also fail to do is care about the patient and follow up. The first time I went in for a broken finger they didnt really have much to say.. either it stays a little droopy or its a $4000 surgery for a 15 minute procedure. The second time I went in for my hurt knee they left me with saying I think you tore your ACL... without following up!! That is a serious injury to just leave the patient hanging. I literally felt like I was forgotten about. When I called the office they just said "We're really busy". Thankfully I didn't tear my ACL and it was only a meniscus tear. I know because I got a second opinion. Also if you give them your MRI CD, they might lose it. They lost mine, so don't leave without it. Like the other reviews... Don't waste your time or money with this company.

I wanted to leave an updated review because this practice is now under Dr. Maria Salinas, and my…read moreexperience with her was completely different from what I experienced before. I had been a patient under Dr. Alissa for about six years, and I was very disappointed with the care I received during that time. I rarely, if ever, actually saw the doctor. Almost every appointment was handled by a different PA, which meant I constantly had to re-explain my full medical history, diagnosis history, symptoms, and concerns. As someone diagnosed with lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, Raynaud's syndrome, and other related issues, that was extremely frustrating and exhausting. Many of my lupus-related concerns were also often referred out to other doctors instead of being fully addressed. When Dr. Maria Salinas took over the practice, I came in for an appointment because I was dealing with inflammation, pain, and lupus-related symptoms. I honestly planned on finding another rheumatologist, but after this visit, I completely changed my mind. I was actually seen by Dr. Salinas herself, and I was so grateful. She already had my history, took the time to discuss my conditions with me, listened to my concerns, and made me feel heard. One of the biggest things that stood out was that she took my past experience with methotrexate seriously. I had bad side effects from that medication when I was younger, and instead of dismissing that, she discussed another option with me, Leflunomide. Today is day five on the new medication, and this morning I noticed a real difference. Before starting it, it would usually take me at least two hours every morning just to get moving because of the stiffness and pain. Some mornings I could barely stand up straight, and the swelling, pain, and weakness in my hands made it hard to even hold my coffee cup. This morning, I woke up without that same stiffness and was able to hold my cup with no problem. Dr. Salinas was kind, patient, knowledgeable, and understanding. She also allowed me to openly discuss my concerns about how the practice was run before. She explained that she has plans to improve the practice, including hiring another rheumatologist and one PA to help with patients. Most importantly, she said patients will consistently see the same provider, whether that is Dr. Salinas, the new rheumatologist, or the PA. That alone means so much because one of the hardest parts of the previous practice was seeing a different PA almost every time. I believe many of the older negative reviews reflect how the practice was managed under Dr. Alissa, but now that Dr. Salinas has taken over, I truly feel hopeful about my care here. She made me feel seen, heard, and taken seriously, and I am absolutely staying with this rheumatologist. I am very thankful for Dr. Salinas and look forward to continuing my care with her.

The neurologist said I was one of the worst cases he had seen in a very long time. I had marked my calendar for a 2pm appt. NBO, actually scheduled me for 1:30 and I did not catch the error. I arrived at 2:10pm. Yes, late due to things out of my control. After waiting at the check in window for 5 minutes with neither receptionist acknowledging my presence, the receptionist informed me that my appt had been canceled and I owed a $50 no show fee and would need to reschedule. I explained that I had 2pm on my calendar and yes I was 10 minutes late but had waited over 2 months to get in. With zero expression or concern for my condition, she repeated: you'll need to reschedule. I respectfully stated I would need to find a surgeon in San Antonio.(we are moving soon) She gave me an I don't care look, shrugging a shoulder, closed the window like she was glad and resumed her work on her computer. There was only one patient in the waiting room. When I used to take my mom there, the wait to see the doctor was always at least an hour and the waiting room was typically full. Perhaps that's improved but today made me feel as if the patients are just numbers to them and they don't care to have new patients needing surgery ASAP. Now I have to start over as the nerves in my hands continue to disintegrate and muscles atrophy ( per the neurologist) and functionality diminishes. I hope others have a better experience. It was a very cold experience for me and rare for me to write a negative review.
