We bought a house with a gate at the entrance which enters to a large circle drive, which has caused all sorts of problems with regards to USPS. We have a gate code for deliveries so the drivers can deliver our package to our porch (Which UPS and FedEX both have no problem with and deliver often). When I approached the Colbert Post Office gentleman, I was told USPS could not accept the gate code and would not enter the property. On top of that, we have a door bell below the keypad to ring the house. Once again the gentleman told me that the driver would not pull into the driveway entrance because if we are not home, it apparently is against their policy to backup their trucks....which I find ridiculous since they ALL back up their truck at the end of the day in the post office lot!!!! We order a lot from Amazon and get deliveries from all of the deliver companies regarding those packages. If I had a choice, I would never have our local USPS deliver anything. They do not try to accommodate the delivery of our packages.

I always take my daughter to their play and…read morestory time and it is great. my daughter loves to go. the staff members are very good with the kids and really engage themselves when they read the stories with the kids. the library is relatively small but clean and organized. being new to the area, the staff really helped me out as to registering for the library, checking out books, and community information that I can take a look at outside in the library's lobby. Their story and play times here are Thursdays at 10:30am and have since added a Saturday time as well as a trial.

I got pulled over today because my car didn't have plates. I explained to the officer that my car…read moredidn't pass the emissions test. I had just spent $500 on an alternator and was waiting to get some more money. I showed him my insurance for a different vehicle too. You have a month to get the new cards in and your car is covered. He said my license was suspended too. I don't know why it is. I was polite and he even wanted to get me for the seatbelt that I took off when he approached the car. I don't wanna be trapped when a person with a weapon is approaching my car. I'm a good citizen just having a hard time. Well he gave me a ticket for $1236 that I can't pay. I'm a disabled veteran on a limited income. I thought the police were here to protect and serve! He could have trusted me and gave me a warning but he was an inconsiderate jerk. Is name is Jacob Keith. Beware of this guy. He doesn't have the right mentality to be a good officer. These guys give the good cops a bad name.I hope Airway Heights has better officers out there protecting and serving. Not trying to destroy others live. It was our first time in Spokane and my oldest daughter met us there with her girlfriend. We wanted…read moreto do a little sightseeing as it was a new area for us to and low and behold there was this garbage goat. When I mentioned it to my daughter they knew exactly what I was talking about and so we went to take a look at it. I love this unique addition to their downtown area which allows you to throw away rubbish via the garbage goat. You simply walk up to the goat, press the button to get it started and it you feed the goat. Your trash and the vacuum inside sucks it up through the mouth. This was a real cool experience even though it's simple. Boy was still an experienced to remember. Also, there is a carousel nearby that provides you with goat food as well which I thought was adorable.
