I'm sorry but I can't get past the front desk, the treatment over the phone by Luisa was beyond anything I've ever experienced. For a staffing agency to have someone like that is unexplainable since they are the first impression. If you don't like your job then simply look for another one. This agency is a joke. I went in 2 weeks ago talked with Natalie she played the part that she was nice. She did not even call me to follow up, and when I followed up with her she was so rude. The front desk girl Lisa has a horrible attitude. They sent me to a voicemail for a Marcella I know she will never call me back. They do not try to find a job for you it is all numbers for them. Stay away from this agency. The most they ever did for me was get me a position as a Data Entry Clerk for a company in Temple City. I enjoyed my time there but unfortunately it was only a 2 month assignment. That was almost a year ago. Last week I was applying at different agency's in their area and decided to walk in and ask if they any positions available. Was immediately greeted by Lisa who is the rudest receptionist ever! I tell her that I would like to speak to Lorraine who I had worked with last year. Lisa asked me if I had an appointment and I said, No and then she asks why I was there. I tell her that I was in the area and thought I'd stop in. Lisa acted like I was bothering her and quickly shoved me in a room and told me Lorraine was in a "meeting" and that she didnt think she could get out.. all while saying this in the rudest tone. I waited about 5 mins and in pops Lorraine. First thing out of her mouth wasn't a "Hi" or "Nice to see you again" but how I looked different and how I made her look stupid (yes she said "stupid") by turning an down assignment last fall. I apologized and explained how I was offered another job. Then she proceeds to tell me that she has no openings for Customer Service Represenative or Data Entry and that Murcella or Amber should be in contact with me all while walking out the door. She says all this in less than 5 mins. No handshake, no smile not even a Goodbye. I'm just left there sitting like an idiot to see myself out. Funny though... Listed on Indeed are at least 20 Customer Service/Data Entry positions in my area all listed by Ajilon. Nice lie Lorraine! Don't waste your time. Lorraine blatenly lies to your face and Lisa is an old shrew without an ounce of customer service experience. Makes me wonder how she even got that job and more importantly.. Terrible experience working at this location. Tremendous amount of favoritism and sexism at this office. KPI's are extremely difficult to reach and earning commissions is virtually impossible. They actually hold you back by keeping you in the office. Prepare for long hours and low hourly pay as well as difficult boss. Unfortunately I'm going to give this agency a 1 star review. I was referred by a friend to this agency. I interviewed and signed up with them on May 11 (Friday) and was promised to have some type of update within 3 business days on May 15 (Tuesday). Both Marcella and Amber mentioned I was a "hidden gem" and showed that they were very excited and made it seem like there were many positions available for me. I didn't receive any update for two weeks and decided to just call, even though I was already sending out emails to the reps in the meantime and didn't receive any type of courtesy response from them. Marcella called me once, 3 weeks later, overpromising with hopes of a potential interview within a few days and asked me what days I was available for interviews. Funny that Marcella called me, even though Amber was my recruiter. I haven't had any communication, neither phone or email with Amber since the first day I met with her. In the meantime, since May 11, I had been repeatedly emailing both Amber and Jose with job postings I found on the Ajilon job website that I found interesting to me, but neither of them responded to my emails. I even called and left a few voicemails, but I guess nobody is polite enough to respond to you. To this day today, July 1, I still have not heard back from any of them since Marcella called me the ONE time. I am an individual with over 10 years in the working field with a bachelor's in business administration. It's partially my fault for depending on this agency and believing that I could rely on them to help me. I don't recommend this place to anyone who has a degree and a similar amount of experience. They won't help you find a career that you deserve (much less any other career) with a similar type of background. No offense to anybody else, but this agency seems that it specializes in helping people without any degrees or enough experience finding jobs. Not to mention, the receptionist was very rude and unwelcoming--just grunted and demanded why I was there and if I had an appointment. Obviously, if I come in wearing professional interview attire and appearing clean cut, I'm here to meet someone for a career opportunity. She didn't even offer any water, in which Amber even said, "Would you like anything to drink? I'm sure she offered you!" No, the receptionist couldn't even achieve the most basic responsibility. At least on the surface, the recruiters come off as polite and passionate, but have no ability whatsoever to multitask, follow up, or communicate. In addition, I decided to take action and apply on my own to other places elsewhere. I started applying on May 31, got my first interview on June 6, and received my offer letter for hire on June 18 in my desired field and with my desired salary. I am now hired within 2 weeks (interviewed twice). No thanks to this agency. In the end, this agency is an advertised employment agency where their mission and sole purpose is to help individuals find a career. This is a type of service that they get reimbursed and compensated for. An employment agency cannot be compared to an HR department, as another individual previously compared in their review. From my experience, this is not a professional agency and they should NOT over promise or oversell themselves. I'm not leaving a negative review based on their unavailability or not being able to match me up with a career. I am leaving a negative review due to their lack of communication, overselling, giving false hope, and over promising things instead of being honest and just telling me that there is nothing available to match my goals or needs. I wouldn't have needed to waste my time. In a business sense, this agency cannot execute their goals efficiently. I'd understand if you needed more time to look for more jobs that may suit me, but at least they should have COMMUNICATED that to me. Delays happen, but no responses are unprofessional. They shouldn't just leave you hanging. I met and spoke with 4 representatives (Amber, Jose, Marcella, and Cindy) on May 11, and they all just oversell the agency. To this day, I should have received some sort of rejection or apology for no communication. In this day and age, "ghosting" is a popular term that can be applied here, possibly along with a more traditional sense of "false advertising". If you're an overqualified individual, please don't waste your time here as they won't help you if they don't see any profit or benefit in it for them. Unless you have a lot of time on your hands, don't mind sitting there twiddling your thumbs and waiting years for an update or call back, be my guest. As Benjamin Franklin once coined, "Time is money". While you waste your time waiting around for this agency to help you, you're losing money. I'm just glad I didn't lose more than 2-3 months of my time and money. Lesson learned, don't be like me and even waste a second. read more

I met with Marcella a few months ago and she helped place me into my current job. She was extremely professional and very clear about the interview /placement process. Within a short time, she had contacted me with an opportunity that matched my experience and skill set. When learning that client/company wanted to meet with me, she prepped me on who I'd be interviewing with and even ran through a mini mock-interview with me to help ensure my success. The interview went well and I got the job! I think the secret to working successfully with agency recruiters is to treat them exactly as you would any corporate recruiter or HR dept. You wouldn't post a bad yelp review if a company's HR dept didn't have a job opening that fit your exact skill set, at the exact time you were looking for a job, would you? I also doubt you would expect that same HR dept to call you regularly until they had an opening for you. A recruiter's job is to find candidates for current openings and Marcella's great at it!! I registered with Ajilon over a year ago. After all of that time, I finally got a call from Amber, the agent I was working with, for an interview the beginning of this year. I aced the first phone interview with the VP, and then the second interview with the President and finally the third which was a face to face with Stan, the President. This President of the company kept referring to the fact that his was a male dominated business and the me too movement is making it difficult for women to get hired...I was taken aback but not dismayed, and handled myself accordingly, men do not bother me and I though that was an odd thing to say - I did share this with Amber, and reiterated that I was a bit surprised by his candor, but I was cool with the atmosphere. After nearly a month of not hearing anything, I reached out and asked Amber - well, did they make a decision or are they still looking? I was told that they were still looking. Then I heard nothing for 2 more months! No feed back, no word if the position had been filled, etc. Fed up, I found another agency in the beginning of April and gee, I was working within 2 weeks! Thinking I was doing Amber a favor by letting her know I was unavailable at the present time, (thinking we had a better relationship, wrong) she was completely dismissive and affrontive when I told her that I was working, but to please keep me appraised of any other job opportunities that may fit my experience and capabilities. She said, why would you want me to send you out or consider you when you are working? All in all Amber is a nice person, but she does not, in my opinion, know how to recruit. I have 30 years experience in General Office and Executive Assistant work. I also hold a 3.7 GPA in college. I am sure Ajilon is good for some, but for me, they missed the boat. read more

I don't actively yelp review let alone an employment agency but I figured I have to let everyone know whose unsure about applying to Ajilon that there is nothing to be unsure about. Everyone there is very professional. My recruiter, Amber, did a great job to take the time to find the right job assignment for me. She didn't just place me on a temporary assignment just so that she can fulfill the job order. Amber placed me on a temp-to-hire assignment where she knew I would be able to showcase what I have to offer. I'm still a temp through Ajilon but have no complaints. The process to set-up direct deposit took less than a week when they said it would take 2-3 weeks. I never have any issues in regards to my check. I have been to this job agency several times over the years. Each time my experience is great! My rep is Marcella Castellanos and she has helped me find temp jobs when I only wanted to temp and then a permanent job when I was ready. The process is long and they are very thorough with the interviews and paperwork but it has been worth it for me. They even give pointers to help me get ready for each of my job interviews. Each company my rep sent me to seemed to be legit and offer good growth opportunities (even if I didn't get the job). She kept me up to date on the outcome of each interview and made sure I knew what the next step was. I have referred 2 of my close friends and they both landed full time jobs fast! After months of searching for jobs on my own, I felt like I needed to find an agency to help me find a job. I have been with an agency before,but I was new to this area. I met with Amber and she was extremely helpful. We did an interview to get a grasp of my background and what I was searching for. A week or two later she reached out to with a job that I might possibly like. I said yes to the interview and funny thing was that I applied to the same position months back, but I was denied and never got an interview. Going through Ajilon, I was actually able to secure an interview for the same position and was finally hired! I would definitely recommend going through an agency. This place was one of my most humiliating experience ever. I do not blame the recruiter I work with but the way they communicated everything. I am going to break timeline on the event that occurred just so people know how the experience was. I hope this helps someone however, I had an interview with a company that Ajilon said was hiring for a operation associate but in the interview the people had not even confirmed with Ajilon to show. I was at this place just sitting there and people trying figure who I was suppose to meet. The next day I get a call that the recruiter I worked with said hey you got the job kind of we still have to confirm but most likely your it. At 8 pm the following night my recruiter, I get a text from my recruiter saying hey you got the job. I said cool when do I start she said most likely Wednesday for a background check. I said fine. No one ever gave me a called Monday neither Tuesday. I had to call and ask when I start and was told that my back ground was good but they'll have to see when I start but I have the job most likely next week Monday they'll have to confirm. I called them Thursday and told them that I am going out of town but I will start Monday. I told them I am taking a mini vacation because once I start working I won't be given any vacation i was leaving Friday. I told them Thursday morning. I swear to you that they called me on Thursday night saying no background check was started they still need to fill out and they need me to do an drug screening. I was with no job nothing to do for a week and last minute they dropped this at me. Worse is what they said next, you can take time off work to do the drug test but you won't be compensated. Then the job that they send me was the worse experience I had no chair for the whole day, then they offer a broken one. The person in charge did not the role that was going to be lay out for me. The agency said the job is temp to hire however, the supervisor there said its only temp and most likely won't last the year. I politely ended the job. Worse was that they never sensed me a time card but until Friday night. I just filled out 40 hrs and told them that I have a made up to my supervisor at the job and I don't remember how it was fill because I had to leave work twice because of the drum screening. Now the company wants me to reimburse them the money for when I went to the drug screening. Please see this the agency has good jobs but they communicate poorly I hope this helps at least one person. However, I never ended up hearing back from them after driving far to meet with them and wasted my gas. Ajilon definitely wasn't like these other agencies. I worked with Jose Carrillo who is very professional and communicative which I greatly appreciate. If Jose wasn't available, multiple members of the team stepped up to email me with updates or answer any questions I had when I called in. The customer service of this firm does not deserve a single star- especially Lisa. She's rude and she needs to be educated about proper phone handling and manners. The interviewers are fine but the recruitment process they have needs to be improved. No matter how busy you can get with your job, as a good recruiter, you must give an update to your candidates. (not wait for them to reach you) Realistically, people in San Gabriel area are not really falling in line to get a job- this is one of the challenges your recruiter told me about his job. Now that you are aware of it, you should get your A-game in customer service and communication, earn your candidates' trust for you to be able to have ample pool of candidates for your clients. If you are serious about getting a job and you have a good to above average profile, I won't recommend this firm. I'd rather go to AppleOne.
