This is my first time with this agency, and I've dealt with many temp agency before.. I do have to say that Cynthia Valera, was the most helpful agent I have ever dealt with. She helped me through the process of being hired , and quickly placed on a job. She was easily accessible when I had questions or concern. I couldn't start on my start day due to an unfortunate tragedy in my family due to Covid, and she was able to call the company and explain my situation to them and got to push the start day back. I am very impress by the level of support she showed someone they barely know. They won me over .. highly recommend this agency. read more

I worked with Midori and Cynthia Varela of Ajilon Professional Staffing for well over two months. I answered an ad on a website for a position and I was contacted so quickly my head spun. Within a very short time (less than a week) I had a phone interview set up to speak to Midori and a face time interview with the ladies quickly followed. Midori was able to get me not one, but TWO separate interviews with a company she felt I would be a great fit for, and I got the position! What's even better is that the position is a great fit for me, my work style and my specific work strengths. What impressed me most about Ajilon compared to the other staffing agencies I worked with was the tireless dedication of the employees to help me find a position that would be the best possible fit for me. An experience of mine that is probably all too familiar with other job hunters is of signing up with an agency, calling or going in for the face to face meetings and then never hearing from the agency again. Or at the most they schedule you an interview and then *poof* they disappear off into the ether. This was not the case with Ajilon. Midori and Cynthia were there with me every step of the way, calling to check in with me, to see how my interview went, they were there to answer any questions I had via email or text....you name it, they did it. I saw an ad on Craigslist for an admin position & answered the ad. I received an invitation for an interview & set the appointment. When I asked for the company, address, etc. it was then that I found out it came from Cynthia Varela (if that's her real name), Staffing Manager at Ajilon Professional Staffing in Woodland Hills. I immediately canceled the appointment! This is wrong on so many levels & very deceiving. I've seen agencies advertise & say they have a client who is looking for...and they list a job description. Then when you get there the job is "taken" or something else happened & it's no longer available. Then they try to place you somewhere else. That's tricky too, but I understand the game is to get you in their office. But this Cynthia outright hid her identity until the very end which is not good, it's outright lying! Unfortunately, she doesn't realize or care that she won't receive any business doing this. I will never use Ajilon to place me at a job. I will never refer anyone to their company. I hadn't worked with Ajilon before, but heard about them via my old position at RHI (Staffing Firm) as competition. One of the staffing managers reached out to me letting me know they might have positions for me and that they would have a partner reach out to me later that day. I got a call late afternoon about a position in Agoura Hills (Which wasn't too far from my location) and said they believed that I would be a great fit! Within speaking to the staffing person on like Wednesday, I got a phone interview on Thursday and later had an in person interview the following Wednesday and got the job later that afternoon! My boyfriend had an interview via Google Hangouts for 10 AM with Brittany Chapple. 10 AM came around and he had not heard from her so he reached out to her. She responded with "I am so sorry I just got out of a meeting. Do you think we could reschedule to 11:30?" So he did (letting her slide on the fact she went into a meeting and didn't know how to keep track of time). 11:30 came around and she never called! This is extremely unprofessional of her as an individual which reflects the lack of professionalism within Ajilon as a whole. People shouldn't have to sit around and wait until someone remembers they had a scheduled interview with someone who is looking for a job. People have bills to pay and don't have the time to be played with. As a recruiter shouldn't you be trying to get your commission anyway? read more

I have been working with "Ajilon" for 2 months. "Cynthia Varela" was my recruiter she is amazing, her positive attitude and motivation kept me going through these hard times. Following up on me on a daily basis and making sure that I didn't loose hope that the job was going to come through. She is amazing person, very professional and kind. I've worked with Ajilon for over 2 years, now. The assignments have been with top-notch companies, and the pay varies from ok to pretty good. They've been great about communication and working on my behalf to keep me employed as much as possible, and they're very professional. I agree with the other reviewer. I too had Christine, she was somewhat friendly in person, but I just had the feeling she wasn't going to get me anything. One annoying thing is I paid $8.00 for parking because they don't validate! It's not like there is easy street parking, it's located in one of the mini sky scraper sections of Woodland Hills. When people invest their time and money to come meet with you because you act like you have a job NOW for them, they should deliver. After reading other reviews on the internet about them, I see similar things where they just get you in but you don't hear from them again. I am qualified and professional, yet NOTHING. Sad to see this place with terrible reviews from others. Much like Nati W., I too came in through Christine Sivazlian. I was hired as a temp for a 6 week gig that turned into full time permanency. Christine is amazing. Unfortunately, she has recently moved on from Ajilon but I would not let that be a barrier from giving them a try. At my office now we have a temp that came through Christine as well. He was initially hired on for a couple of weeks and is still here a couple of months later. I do not doubt his time will continue to be extended. Ajilon is well trusted by my company and others for having a keen eye for stellar talent. Donya although talented at recruiting, is a nightmare and headache to deal with if partnering with to find talent solutions. Not only did she almost cost an amazing candidate an incredible job opportunity, but she lied to us the client and the candidate, and then tried to blame the candidate. If you don't want to deal with games, be charged for fees you never agreed to, don't go here. I used to profess incredible things about Ajilon, and hoped to use them as part of an employment succession plan, but this has been the worst partnering with a recruiting service I have ever experience. read more

Went in for an interview waited 45 mins to see Maritza Avilar. A girl came in long after i did and got to see her before me. The receptionist told her that i was there first and she needed to see me. Which i think is a bunch of bull bc it took her 30 mins to decided to get off her ass to let Maritza know she had an interviewee here. Also the receptionist lied about Maritza having an interview. She decided to call the other girl in first. The receptionist said that the other girl will be seeing another recruiter. The excuse they gave me about all this is complete bull. 10 years ago this company was great, now it's just a joke. I want to mention that more than 3 of the recruiters, lack in communication skills. They're not good in returning emails or phone calls. Even if you have years of experience and score well on their computer testing, they either want you to take a big paycut or they just don't care in returning your emails / voicemail's. It's surprising to see Ajilon with bad reviews. It makes me wonder if most people have unrealistic expectations of employment agencies. I worked with Jonvieve "J" and she was easy to work with, honest about the opportunities available and responsive. Truth is, agencies can't place everyone, it's my responsibility to follow up and build a relationships and prove to be a solid candidate if I expect them to put their reputation on the line with their clients and for me it worked out. Shorty after interviewing at Ajilon they hooked me up with an interview and I got the job. I also just received a promotion while still temping and "J" has been great about keeping me posted on the new role and checking in weekly to ensure I'm happy at my job. I was with Exact Staff before Ajilon and my recruiter before was just terrible. They completely ignored what I requested for jobs and would sign me up for companies without telling me what type of job it was, pay, etc. I left and decided to try out Ajilon after they contacted me and after meeting with Maritza, I felt confident that she could actually work with me and find me the jobs I wanted. It's been 3 or 4 months now and Maritza has just been fantastic. Every job she has found me was exactly what I wanted, with the hours I wanted, and the pay I wanted. Her communication is excellent and she's very personable. She's also very efficient and has new contracts for me as soon as one ends so I'm not left hanging. I have no complaints, she's just awesome and makes my life a lot easier. read more

The least you can do (aside from being compensated for doing your job) is put forth a strong effort to help people land a job. Being unemployed is not a happy place to be in. I started working with Christine S., who is no longer here, but the remainder team members are just as great, ethical and professional in all levels! Complete waste of time and energy. I met with Tyler Panos through a good friend. We had, what I thought, was a good conversation, asked for feedback on my interview style, resume, career direction etc. All his answers were "no, it's great. I think you'll do great and we can shop you out ASAP. Just check in every few days." So we left it at that and I was optimistic. I checked in every few days like he said for about 3-4 weeks. Same answer every time "we have your resume on file and we'll keep an eye out." Felt rehearsed and like he didn't even try to care. So I let it breath and checked in once every week and a half and would get zero response from him. Always in a meeting, interview or whatever excuse. The president of the United States isn't even that busy. Emails go un-responded to. It's been 3 months and this guy can't figure out how to hit reply on an email or find the numbers on his phone to call back. Unprofessional and cowardly if you ask me. You're better off going somewhere else and reaching out to companies on your own. read more

If I could give them ZERO stars I would believe me. I'm always somewhat hesitant to work with a staffing agency as often times they lure you with the idea of a job only to find out there isn't one. This review is not about their ability to place me but rather a review on how I was treated before I walked in the door. I had applied to them 2 times and both time received a reply once from Vanessa and the other from Christine. My first encounter was with Vanessa who wanted me to come in for an interview, which I agreed to but ultimately couldn't make the time so we played a little e-mail tag to try and find a suitable time for me to come in, I never heard back from Vanessa. To be honest I had been applying to so many jobs I didn't follow up and didn't think too much of it. Fast forward to about a week ago in which I answered another ad which was linked to Ajilon (I was unaware of this). This time Christine was the contact person. She told me that I didn't show up to my appointment with Vanessa but asked if I was still looking for work, to which I replied yes I explained to her that I gave Vanessa notice that I wouldn't make our interview but that I heard nothing from her in confirming our next appointment. Thats where this conversation should have ended. Here's where it gets funny. I received this e-mail from Christine shortly after my response to her: "Lol probably.. loser Just document that stuff cause when they re-apply we can know and call them out on it I will bring her in and you can 2nd see... if she comes" Clearly staffing is a game to these people. I'd rather be unemployed than work with the likes of them. What an absolute embarrassment. It's like butt dialing someone while you're talking about them. It's laughable, so funny in fact that when I e-mailed the president of the company I laughed all the way through it. CHECK YOUR WORK FOLKS! read more

I was referred to Ajilon by my brother, and it was one of the best decisions I made to go through them in search of employment. I have a wonderful rep by the name of Maritza that has been helping me throughout the way. She's been consistent, organized, super easy to work with, and extremely caring. I mean, I know this is what her job entails, but she's shown me in several ways how much she really cares about the people she's working with. She's been nothing but a joy to work with, and simply amazing. I say this with confidence because after dealing with Aerotek, there's no going back. Dont waste your time or gas money going to this location. Im sure the 5 star reviews are FAKE. Met with Laura last week who CALLED ME, regarding my resume. When I arrived I was greeted by Laura (who was dressed like she was going to the mall in blue jeans, a tee shirt and Uggs on a Wednesday at 12:30p)....who took me into a separate room. 5 mins into the conversation she tells me that I have had too many temp jobs in the last year and that her clients are not interested in resumes with this kind of history????? Soooo my question to her was "didnt you review my resume before you asked that I meet with you....should I just stop looking for a job"?..... While I appreciate Laura's feedback and did spend some time speaking with her, I found it difficult to receive feedback dressed in a business suit, heels and pearls from someone who looks like she didn't take the time to dress appropriately to deliver the criticism her position warrants ....as Laura told me about my resume "perception is EVERYTHING" so what perception are you giving to job candidates? ...That you dont give a dam about your professional appearance or their time?? More concerned with putting you somewhere than with finding the right fit. The initial job I was applying for was computer-related and they tried to bait-and-switch by offering a packaging position. Was later offered the computer position a few days later, but ultimately found the work to be menial and not in the ballpark of my experience or skill level, with mediocre pay to boot and nowhere near the amount of overtime initially suggested. Did some self-searching and found a job at double the pay. If you've got a decent resume, I wouldn't recommend. read more

I have never had an experience with a temp agency. I was always afraid to go through them because it wouldn't be the long term employment I was looking for. After moving to a new city and becoming desperate for a job, I began to connect with temp agencies in order to get at least some work in cause I was tired of sitting on the computer applying for jobs all day. After walking in and interviewing with 3 other agencies, I walked into Ajilon! And I was surprised! Immediately, there was a difference I noticed as I walked in. There was excellency as soon as I was greeted when I walked into the door. I, although walk-ins were not technically accepted, was treated like someone with dignity and care. I sat for a moment as the receptionist requested that I wait and then, bursting out through the doors was someone with a smile excited to meet me. I sat down with Midori, a breeze of fresh air from the hot blazing sun outside and the lessor friendly environments of the other agencies I've been in. She sat down with me and she took some time to get to know me and introduced me to the other members of the staff who worked alongside her (Yesenia and eventually, Vanessa). Wow what a team! Never have I experienced a team who desired to work as hard as I did in getting a job that would enhance my career objectives. I was in control but Ajilon was the vehicle that got me to the place I wanted. They were always very proactive, responsive, passionate, and coached me well, helping me make all my plays right! My praise of this team will not stop and I cannot be more thankful for their job well done!
