I was very pleased that they offer free shipping if you spend more than $150. The sources I have bought Japanese maples from before (MrMaple, Conifer Kingdom, and Mendocino Maples either were sold out or didn't carry these) In the future I would consider Maple Ridge equal or better than any other nursery I have bought Japanese maples from, so I would not hesitate to buy from them again.

All of the nice trees were picked over weeks before December, so when we were driving around and saw a line going into Maple Ridge Nursery, we turned around and got in line ourselves. Trees varied in price for around $50 to over $100, but unlike the locations I listed above, a $100 tree LOOKED like a $100 tree. That is to say very tall, very full, very green. We got a fir for $85 and it was I believe 7 feet tall. Customer service was great, both with helping us find a tree and securing it to the car. You even upon your purchase got a free ornament, a small but kind gesture. We were told these trees are harvested from their own nursery and man, the smell of this tree just made the entire house smell festive and lived into January. Located off of Covington highway just before you reach the Panola Road Cross street, there is parking for cars in the front of the store...it's more a staging area so you can drive in, get your tree loaded and leave. This family owned shop is here each year in the same location, and while i've driven past this place in the past, often to head to big chain stores, I think i've found a tradition and next year i'll definitely be paying Maple ridge Nursery another visit. I hope you get to check them out next year also!
