I've lived in Japan and when it comes to eating Japanese food abroad, I can be a bit skeptical but Akari was pretty good. The sushi and sashimi were nice, although the variety was very limited to mostly just salmon, tuna and white fish for most things. I recommend the yakitori here, and the salmon salad with ponzu was pretty good. Prices are very cheap, so it's great especially for Japanese food which tends to be pricy. The downside is they are heavy handed on the sauces, so the noodles are very salty. The service was very good and our food came pretty quick too. Overall, cheap but quality Japanese food, casual atmosphere with both in and outdoor seating. read more
