For starters, we ordered the Mixed Hors D'Ouevers, which included chicken tikka, lamb tikka, a tandoori king prawn and an onion bhaji. Aside from the bhaji, I felt like the whole plate was very uninspired - presentation was unimpressive, and the amount of food for the price was underwhelming. I chose a Murgh Massala as my main, and was pretty disappointed - it seemed to be quite lacking in the flavour and spice I'd usually expect from an Indian meal. The saving grace was the Motor Panir (cheesy peas!) - but I've still had better - and the peshwari naan. We also weren't allowed to take any leftovers home as we were using Tastecard - a problem I've never had in any other restaurant that uses the card. It's just being thrown away anyway, so it seems rather petty to do this. I really wanted to like this place as it's in a convenient location, but unfortunately I felt that Jaipur fell pretty short on value and taste. Definitely not a curry I'll be heading back for in a hurry.

I ordered 2 small plates to start: the lamb samosas and the Gressingham Duck tikka, which was on their seasonal special menu. The samosas were light and the lamb filling was flavorful and spiced perfectly. You can taste the lamb and the Indian spices used in making the dish. The chutney / sauce that accompanied the dish provided a nice sweet and sour foil to the spiced lamb filling. It was divine. The Duck tikka was more heavily spiced but in a good way. The vermicelli like noodles on which the Duck rested were delicious, as well as the Duck. The savory notes worked in tandem with the little bit of garlic that was in the sauce of the vermicelli, which was awesome. The lamb main dish had such a deep flavor and it didn't disappoint as a main dish with the curry sauce. The apple samosa was the perfect ending to the meal. The apple filling was elevated by the nutmeg and the cardamom. The house made apricot toffee ice cream was creamy and smooth. It wasn't overly sweet and worked in perfect harmony with the apple samosa. The service could be improved (I waited by the host stand for about 3-5 minutes before someone saw me from the kitchen and grabbed the host. I was the only one in the restaurant at the time (18:10). I was presented with the choice between sparkling water and still water and picked sparkling, but was then told it only came in big bottles, and so I asked for regular water. However, he never came back with the water and took my water glass, in fact. Another server checked on me, which was nice. Also, the owners came out and checked on my food and talked to me for a little bit as well, which was nice. Other than the missteps in the beginning, I would say this was an overall good experience). The restaurant is lovely and is located by the water. I had a great view to the sunset as I enjoyed the dinner. If I'm back in this area, I will definitely return.

Sadly I didn't take any photos and they don't have a website so I can't share with you how amazing our food looked, but I will tell you that if you're ever in the area you should stop by! We feasted upon a tandoori mix grill that included lamb chops, lamb kofte, and various chicken tandoori, a half of a chicken marinated in tandoori sauce, sag paneer, a keema naan, a cheesy naan, chips, salad and rice. There was more then enough to feed an army, let alone just us two! Luckily we were super hungry and enjoyed every mouthful. The flavours were all incredible, and for once I actually enjoyed eating lamb!! The service was second to none, and the atmosphere was lovely too. It's great to have a gem of a restaurant so close to home! The staff could not do enough for you, which means we've already got our next evening out with friends planned for there!
