Ryan did an outstanding job. Bumpers on the Tesla are tough to apply the PPF to, so when a slight issue arose, he immediately called, said he stands behind every job and would make it right, which he is in the process of doing. I drive a car for a living as a sales professional, and it needs to be nice. I frequently haul VIP's from our company and others from place to place. Years ago, I found a great place that did hand washes in Detroit, and was always looking for the same here in Akron. Look no further than Akron Auto Polish. I discovered them probably 4 years or so ago. Ryan, the owner is one of those small business owners that just really cares about what he does. He has a genuine love for cars. I take my Volkswagens and my escape there. All of my cars are black. They give special care that is needed for this color. Here is my secret to maximizing your trade-in value, and to having moments like I did recently when my 72 year old dad said: "How do you keep it looking so new son?" (My escape has 40K hard miles on it) - Take your car frequently to someplace to just get the dirt off, inside and outside. You can do it yourself, or find a place for probably 10 to 15 bucks. - Depending on how much you drive, take it over to Akron Auto Polish every few months for an "Express Detail." This is not a full detail, but it is pretty darn good. It is an absolute bargain for the money, much less expensive than a full detail. They typically spend 45 min to an hour working on your car hand washing inside and out. It looks great when they are done. - Maybe once a year or so, and when new, just ask Ryan to do what he needs to do to make it look good and protect it. You will spend full detail money on this. They will buff it out, condition the leather, get the winter salt out of the carpet, etc. I ask them to "do what it needs" more often than this, and I have never had them try to take advantage and do excess work. If you do these things, and put your trust in Ryan and his crew, you will have that feeling you had driving your new car, when it is three to four years old. I continuously receive compliments on my car when folks ride with me, and the credit goes to Akron Auto Polish. One more note. On several occasions, I have had a minor nit to pick on some detail. They have ALWAYS made it right. If you don't like the way something was done, tell them. read more

DONT DO IT! They ruined paint on brand new Denali. Scratched it up bad with buffing pad. Left buffer streaks. Over spray of wax everywhere. Worst I have ever seen. Dealer needs to wet sand and spray new clear to fix. Not a good detail shop on black or dark color vehicles at all. read more

WARNING: I had Akron Auto Polish install a Suntek Paint Protection Film my new Dodge Demon. The PPF was installed on the rear flares and matte paint surfaces on the hood, roof and trunk. The finished product is terrible. The hood is peeling and has heavy abrasions or stretch marks. The roof has over 20 air bubbles on the leading edge along the windshield. The one flare has dirt underneath it. The trunk lid is now peeling at the leading edges. I have been given a lot of excuses, and no refund. I am shocked that Suntek is showing Akron Auto Polish as a certified installer. Do yourself a favor and run from Akron Auto Polish. read more

Had this place tint my windows on my brand new Grand Caravan. Brand new! Remember that as you read this. I dropped it off and went on with my day and waited. When they were finished, the owner, Ryan Shearer, called me and said that they were finished and he would like payment over the phone right at that moment which was before I even set eyes on my van. I thought it was odd and a bit suspect, plus not common at all for a business like this or any other for that matter. I refused to do this and told him I would be in to check out my van and that I would pay when I got there. I headed right over and when I pulled up I noticed my van had a vehicle in front of it blocking it in, plus my van was backed into a parking spot with a huge pile of snow behind it piled against the cement base of a huge light post as well behind the snow. So, they had me blocked in. I wanted to check out my entire van for damage. Luckily I was able to see just enough. There was significant damage to my back bumper that was not there when I dropped my van off to this shop. I always check everything before and after when I leave my vehicles with any shop just as everyone should do. I went back in and spoke with the guy that was standing there, I was told Ryan was not there, which was very odd because he just called me shortly before that asking for payment over the phone which now looks even more suspect. The guy in the shop also denied any involvement whatsoever. He denied that any of the employees had any involvement. I told the guy that I wanted to speak to Ryan immediately and to call him. He did and I spoke with Ryan. Ryan told me that his shop had nothing to do with the damage at all. This response is suspect as well because he didn't even have any interest in coming to see my bumper. Wonder why. Maybe because he already knew about the damage that's why he asked for payment over the phone before I even set eyes on my van. We went back and forth for quite a bit. He said that he wasn't going to do anything about it at all. I was so upset I was crying hysterically. I knew they did it, the guy that was inside knew they did it, and Ryan Shearer, the owner knew they did it or he wouldn't have called me and asked for payment over the phone before I even set eyes on my van! He just refused to man up and take responsibility for the damage they caused to my van. If you own a business, damage someone else's property, that they pay a lot of money for, just take responsibility for it. Man up. MAN UP!!!! Just because a minivan isn't some souped up fancy little car like you're used to detailing doesn't mean you shouldn't treat it as well as any other car that you're working on inside of your shop. I felt that Ryan and the entire staff I dealt with about this issue had no concern whatsoever about some minivan or the woman driving it or the fact that I pay money for my vehicle just as everyone else does. When I HIRE YOU to work on my vehicle I expect you to treat it with respect and not damage it and if there is an accident and you or an employee damages it, just man up and take care of it. So, my keys were then held hostage until I paid them. They refused to give me my van keys plus they refused to move the vehicle that had me blocked in unless I paid them on the spot. So I couldn't even go get a spare set of keys and take my vehicle which they obviously thought of or my van would not have been completely blocked in. I have three children that I drive around and no other vehicle to do it in, so I had to pay them to get my keys and to get them to remove the other vehicle that had me blocked in. Once I left I noticed a bunch of stuff on my windshield that looked like it was sprayed on. I thought nothing of it and turned on my windshield wipers. Huge mistake! Whatever they got on my windshield had some particles in it that caused a few scratches on my windshield once I turned on my wipers. I couldn't even believe it!! I honestly don't think they sprayed anything on my windshield deliberately, but I do believe that there was some kind of accidental spray from them working on another vehicle next to my van and they just didn't notice or they didn't care. Which is complete carelessness on their part. I'm telling anyone who reads this...DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!!!! Don't do it. Do your research. Research public court records as well on the business, the owner and the employees if you're lucky enough to get their names. DO NOT GO HERE! They don't admit fault when they damage your vehicle! read more
