I come here once every month to pay my rent and they always treat me great! I rent my apartment from the Grovers and their office here handles all my paperwork easy as 1-2-3. The ladies at the front desk are quite affable, very funny and super efficient. Every time I enter through the gates, I'm amazed at the incredible boats that they are either working on or selling. Monday Morning in June, 21 at 930 AM .., Me and my friend, 2 QNS guys with no experience / owning a boating on any water..lol walk into Strong's Marina and there was Chris B. We told him and the look he gave us the look and it was priceless. Told him we were interested in used boats and walk us around the yard showed us some used boats. Then he suggested we see a 2021, Grady White 216 new CC walk into and I told my partner oh shit we in trouble : p. Chris says I put the put for sea trails for $5k / refundable and my partner said what's could happen. Everyone who we knew that owned a boat said Grady White is the best boat you can ever get into. OMG we fell in love with the GW during sea trail. After the sea trail we meet with Dante at the marina and walk around the saw the slip that might be ours to dock and viewed the other boats in their slips and felt secure with facility. Our neighbors are as friendly as you can get and their advice are priceless. Let me tell you about this marina: Gated parking / electric / water / 24 cameras / combo door / Ice Machine / water / A.C. bathrooms (clean) and etc. outdoor BQQ area, tables and lights. Their annual Docktail BQQ was superb with Josephine hosting the event and my family and friends had great time. Now my friends are asking about getting into boating. He sold my boat efficiently, quickly (in barely one month from advertising) and for a very fair price, both to me and to the buyer, too. I first spoke to Marc in late winter just to get an idea of what my boat might go for. I was so impressed with him that I listed the boat with him and not the place I was originally planning to use. Marc contacted me frequently to keep me apprised of his strategy to sell the boat, his actions to move the boat from the marina where it was in storage, when he would advertise it, etc. I had to do very little as he dealt with all the many necessary details and logistics. I bought my first boat here last fall. All I can say was that it was a positive experience. I grew up with sailing and boating experience. My dad had a 24 foot cruiser and I took sailing lessons. Buying a boat is still tough. I did my research and relied heavily on the marine surveyor. I stayed with him throughout the survey asking questions and taking notes. I looked at other similar boats in the area on online. Fortunately, there were no major issues with the boat but Grover's repaired/inspected ALL issues listed on the surveyor report. They pulled and inspected a thru port at my request prior to purchase. They replaced a faulty horn and compass, sealed minor overhead compartment rain leak and many others. They comp'd me for the fall dockage as a new owner. My service fees seem fair and comparable to what my friends pay for their boat. Marc, my salesman, has even helped me with all my 'noob' boat questions even tho' he is in sales. The marina is in an excellent location, close to Jones beach and the inlet if you wish to get out to sea quickly. The staff has been very friendly when I have bumped into them around the dock. We'll see how the future goes but to date, my experience has been all positive. read more

Be aware high and dry means where your boat will be if you schedule a repair. Job started in April took all the way to August before I had to beg him to finish an engine swap. He then tried to raise the price when it was already agreed upon. Be very cautious with them. The bonus was when he put us in the water he didn't tighten the exhaust hoses almost sank first 15 minutes back in the water. read more
