Left that day saying what a genuinely nice guy. Took me a few years and tons of research as to what make and model boat I wanted, settling on Crownline and I finally pulled the trigger, frequently entering the showroom numerous times picking his brain about all things bowrider and as I said, finally pulled the trigger. Coincidentally, unknown to me a friend told me he also uses Kehls for winter storage and couldn't be happier. Anyways, throughout the process I came to know his 2 brothers Mike and Joe as well as Joe's wife Anne whom handled the closing. From 2020 on, I have had only an excellent experience with the ENTIRE Kehl family. They sell family boats as well as fishing boats. You would be making a huge mistake if you didn't at least pay them at least one visit; I'm pretty certain you'll be happy you did!

We tried a few things but admittingly while we can both turn a wrench, neither of us are all that handy when it come to boats. While he was trying to access the carb (it's a pretty old but cool boat), I was already on Yelp looking for help. The fellas at Kehl's were as cool as a cucumber and as nice as my uncles. We tried a few more things but to no avail. We simply cracked a couple colds ones and waited a short while for them to arrive and tow us back to their marina. While I didn't ask him how much they charged for their work, I do know they were able to get her fired up the next day and he was pretty pleased with it all. I don't own my own boat yet (aside from canoes/kayaks), but when I do, I'm surely glad I now know of a friendly, reliable and honest boat mechanic/ marina nearby!

That is normal. I do not know what engine you have but I can tell you that 6 Yamaha 225hp injectors new are $650 each. It does cost to rebuild them and expensive, check with other certified marinas no a mobile marine Guy that is telling you he rebuilds them himself. That is not something he can do. I would love to see the invoice. Looks like he took labor off. I am retired but in the business for over 45 years and paid my Marine Engineering degree, rebuilding marine engines and drives. I Teach Marine Engine Maintenance for the United States Power Squadron 10 weeks for FREE to any member. I am not partial to any marina or seller of marine items.

Let me explain why In November 2017, I met with Dave Willis about a boat he had for sale in his yard. He greeted myself and my two year old daughter walking with us to show the boat, helping her climb the ladder. I explained I am a full time first responder and also United States Marine who was slated to deploy overseas the following year for approximately 15 months. Dave Willis and I had a 40 minute conversation in regards, coming to find out Dave is also a member of Halesite Fire Department. Outstanding! Long story short, Dave and his family at Willis Marine Center worked with me remotely (while deployed) and then in person again for another TWO YEARS to finalize this boat purchase. In July 2019, we finalized the sale and Dave went out of his way to prepare every document ahead of time. They lowered the boat into the water and observed it floating prior to my arrival, Dave noticing a leaking drain plug. They repaired it one day and the next morning me, my daughter and dog cruised out of Huntington Harbor for Oyster Bay. Not to be outdone, the boat (a 1969) has begun a complete restoration since that time, and just this week Dave, Todd and everyone at Willis Marine Center hauled the boat having arleady ordered, received, and got the components ready to begin the first major portion of this ambitious project, a 14ft x 30inch teak swim platform mounted to a freshly primed, painted and finish polished transom. Dwight and Rick do the installation in a matter of hours and knock this job out of the park! Transom stripped, primed, painted, polished and then Dwight and Rick install the platform from scratch - Guess how long this took? If you guessed 4 days in TOTAL then your right. See pictures on their FB page!! Did I mention my sister and brother-in-law bought a boat this year and first place she chose to moor, store, and service her boat is Willis Marine Center? Not a coincidence folks! Come down and meet the entire team at Willis Marine Center, you will not go anywhere else. Last but not least...I met a ton of great people hanging out down here. Generally boat people are good people, but boat people that are HAPPY with their Marina are even friendlier. Trust me on this one! -Patrick Kelly

PLEASE SAVE YOUR SELF AND DO NOT USE CHARLIE AND DONNA FOR YOUR BOAT REPAIR NEEDS…read more Donna is a flat out BS artist. She lies straight through her teeth and Charlie backs her up on it. I brought my boat in for a simple repair and it took WEEKS for them to "fix it" and when I was finally able to pick it up my bill was over 3,000. I asked what was wrong with it and Charlie couldn't even form one sentence to explain what it was. Mind you they did work I didn't approve of them doing. Whatever I paid and left.... but could not make it home because my boat broke down in their canal. Unbelievable. Brought it right back and they told me it's been bay tested and someone would look at it because they don't know why it happened. Charlie then proceeded to tell me if I can't afford to fix the boat I should not own one. Who the hell are you to say that to someone? Waited another 3 weeks for my boat and it still never ran right. Brought it to a different place and it was fixed within 3 days, only 600 to fix and it's been running GREAT ever since. All they care about is money. They do not care about fixing your boat. And will charge OVERLY charge you and get confrontational when you ask them about the prices they're charging. They're rude, lying, good for nothing pos! I even spoke with people who dock with them who say they are leaving after this season because they are horrible! Please save your self from this less than HALF A** marina.
